What would you expect when the people giving the awards are English themselves. They would appreciate someone that learnt there langauge. And I disagree when you included Spain. How many study materials have you seen in our native language? All the country you listed has huge libraries of materials in their own languages.

@all4naija I think you get me wrong. I've been to different countries where they do not have inventions or atlest where they teach things that where invented by other people but they are not forced to use English to explain. The kids learn faster in the own language you do not need to have a language barrier. I will take Turkey and Brazil for example. THey do not or I should say the rarely speak or understand English. The schools instructions are given in their own languages Turkish and Portuguese. And to these people or countries English is not important. Check the language chat and you will see that Mandarin is spoken by more people than English though its not widespread as they didn't colonize people further than Asia. Though it may seem to late for us to start the language thing but then. I would advice you to study Europe and see how its mostly ONE COUNTRY ONE LANGUAGE. Its easier for the people to progress like this not in the case of Nigeria where the British grouped different people with different goals into one country.

Why should I speak English in the first place? If no be for the brain dead leaders! English should be 2nd Language and my Yoruba should be first. Throughout the Yoruba land signs, atm machines and computers should be Yoruba. Go to Europe and see. Even South Africa , now our kids can't speak Yoruba properly. My kids can't pronounce "gb" and "p" in Yoruba. Because they're not in English instead of saying Gbogbo they say Bobo.

Honestly that house over priced. Doesn't look anything near 20m. If I want to sell at good price I'll rather paint it , make interlock floors and make house look more presentable for sale.
