He has to be professional about the way he goes about his business. That attitude is really bad.
Maybe he wants to leave since LVG said Fellaini will play as no 9.
It wasn`t like this when he was brought in on Saturday.
But he`s supposed to be professional about it as you rightly said. |

AdeLaNa1: I've been crying about the bolded since last season. Mata is wasting away on dat right flank for goodness sake. We all saw wat he did in the hole at Chelsea. Play Young on d right. Its a better alternative to Januzaj. Dat one is not good enough for the starting 11 yet. If LVG does dat, everything could easily fall into place and our attack would easily take the pressure off an already balanced defence LVG is part of the problem of this team. Playing players out of positions is his great problem. He always believe he can convert players. The same thing he did with Memphis all through the preseason up until the first game of the season. I just don`t know why he is not playing Mata as the number 10 now that we have good defensive midfielders who can take up the defensive duties that he`s lacking in. He can also play Herrera on that right. He said the team is lacking creativity and he has a guy (Herrera) who contributed 10 goals (6 goals & 4 asissts) out of 19 starts for us last season on the bench doing nothing. This guy also contribute defensively in ni measure. Also his stereotyped philosophy of pass, pass, and pass without freedom to express themselves and take some risk will take us nowhere. I am really losing my confidence in him by every match day. |

afrodoc2: I have seen nothing in Lacazette's game to be uberconfident he will score 30 goals in EPL ( something even better strikers than him have struggled to do). All his blistering pace in Ligue 1 will look average in the EPL. Also he is not blessed with overwhelming power and he is just above average in terms of technique IMO.
There are truly very few realistic options in the market in terms of quality CBs and CFs...... but it is still possible to get someone (money talks) LVG have said he doesn`t even need another striker. So, there`s no need thinking he`ll get another striker in this summer. |

sinizia: (Note the words "wishes to join" for Chelshit and "agree terms with Man Utd" for Man Utd)
Now the last embolden is what you & Funlord, is failing to accept which Pataki is harping on. The questions are: The same Mikel also said this before he was gagged, pressured and threatened after he signed for Man Utd. Man Utd get Chelsea target Mikel Manchester United have beaten Chelsea in the race to sign teenage midfielder John Obi Mikel from Norwegian top-flight outfit Lyn Oslo. The 18-year-old Nigerian had looked set for a move to Chelsea after having trials at Stamford Bridge. But United, who gave him a trial in 2003, have stepped in to sign the player, who only made his first-team debut for Lyn last week. "It's totally fantastic to come to a club like Manchester United," he said. "Not many players my age get that chance." Lyn officials refused to disclose the transfer sum, but general manager Morgan Andersen said it was "overall the biggest transfer ever within Norwegian football". "It's totally fantastic to come to a great club like Manchester United. Not many players my age get that chance," the Nigerian said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/4499893.stmA. Why would Chelshit pay Man Utd £12million, triple the amount paid to Oslo the parent club and original owners of Mikel? For Xmas shopping? For boat trip? Chelsea paid Man Utd £12million as the transfer fee for Man Utd to sell Mikel Obi to them because there was a legitimate deal between Lyn Oslo, Man Utd and Mikel Obi to join Man Utd for £4million before he appeared on TV crying that he wanted to join Chelsea. The £4million agreed deal that Man Utd was supposed to have paid to Lyn Oslo which they held on to when the saga started was the £4million paid to Lyn Oslo by Chelsea to make the whole money paid by Chelsea £16million. B. Why didn't Chelshit pay Man Utd such amount in Pedro deal if not for the fact that Man Utd haven't agreed shít with Barca or paid them? This is totally different because Pedro was still Barca's player when Chesea went to buy him but not Man Utd's. There was no contract between Man Utd, Pedro and Barca. Mikel was snatched!! He betrayed us like Judas. But it was a good betrayal that favored us with Carrick. If after all these explanations you still refused to accept the truth, then I've nothing else to type. He wasn't snatched because there was a signed deal in place between Man Utd, Mikel and Lyn Oslo for him to join us in January. The resolution of the issue also showed that there was a legitimate contract in place before Mikel turned around. |

elampiro: You dont know what you are saying. Admission works sepatately in Civil case from criminal case. However, in both it's only a process to reaching a judgement. It is you who doesn't know what you are saying. I can see that you are now researching despite the fact that you claim to go to court regularly. Elampiro, apart from giving evidences on behalf of your bank which doesn't entail much than just give evidences and go. Have you ever been sued or sued somebody in a case that starts from Magistrate court to High court up to Appeal Court with you taking up the financial responsibilities? You are just buttressing my correction of you saying In Civil case, there is an admission. Evidence is heavier than Admission and Confession.. You couldn't differentiate between admission and evidence. Admitting to a fact is like an evidence so also is confession an evidence. I posted this: tess1:
Hehehe!!! See elampiro who knows a lot about law.
It is even worse for you to use Admission and Confession in the same context. They don`t mean the same neither do they relate in any way. Confession is an acknowledgement of guilt in a criminal case while admission is an acceptance/acknowledgement of facts. The Admission on its own is a form of evidence in both civil and criminal case. Rooney just admitted to the facts provided by Opta and whiscored that he lead Man Utd`s attack in 2011/12. Tell us how you are going to tell a judge that he lied against himself. Also tell us what you are going to tell the judge that you did not lie against him. You then posted this: In Criminal case, Admission are acknowledgement of facts, not even an acknowledgement of guilt. Confession is what acknowledges guilt. Even at this, evidence has more power.
In Civil case Admissions are only a part of a discovery process. Who now doesn't know what he's saying? You are just confirming what i've posted after doing your research without comprehending what posted. Who is even arguing with you that Admission is an acknowledgement of guilt for you to put not even? If Rooney says he plays as a lone striker, and the evidence suggest otherwise. Rooney will lose the judgement. This is because there will be other questions asking (a) What formation played? (b) Where did Hernandez play? (c) Where did Welbeck play? (d) How many matches did you play with Hernandez? (e) In you interview of June 2012 You priased Welbeck in an interview for playing so well as the lead striker for England just as he played in front of you for Man United. (f) Are you aware clips of all matches are documented?
You have not seen anything. When you get to court, your responses will be tested with the evidence supplied and cross examinations.
Even in criminal case where statements are admission to guilt, evidence and other curcustances that come up during the case will rubbish the statement.
You evidence also has to pass to be admitted as exhibit. Who no go no know. This is no theory. What evidence will suggest otherwise? Zonal Marking? Lol. The only facts they will accept are stats from recognized football data company which includes opta not ZM which is not recognized by anybody other than you. elampiro: Then you have not been to a court before to hear cases. Very clear from your writing. Evidence carries more weight than even a confessional statement.
Someone can lie on himself to save a loved one. But evidence when black cannot be called white. Lol. Hear elampiro who have been going to courts to hear cases mentioning "confessional statement" in an issue that can never be a criminal case. Confessional statement only applies to criminal cases. This can only lead to a civil case because he's is the one that can take you up on this that you are lying against him. In this scenario, Rooney said he played as our lead striker in 2011/12 as against you saying that he played as a number 10. If Rooney takes you to the law court that you are lying against him. Where does your "confessional statement" come in? If Rooney says he played as our lead striker and backs it up with Opta and whoscored stats. How are you going to prove to the judge that his "confessional statement" is wrong or that he's lying against himself? |

elampiro: Tess1, the above is from our very old argument. You write as if Rooney and Chicharito were alternate strikers. You are wrong.
Rooney played virtually all matches Chicharito played. Which means Rooney was not the reason Chicha was on the bench. Welbeck and Chicha were the alternate strikers.
Rooney kept his position behind them. I have seen commentaries of 2011 stating concern on who was better as a striker between Welbeck and Chicha. As we go along, I will be producing these materials. I am not going to be drawn into an old argument. Rooney has spoken. I, like any sensible person will rather believe what Rooney said than believe whatever you are putting up in your defense of his position in the team. It is Rooney's words against yours. And in a law court, Rooney's statement has more substance than yours even if you are his solicitor. Like i said earlier, he has put an end to that argument. |

So now you are saying Chicha who always isolated himself upfront from the other players, was our number 10? U try.
Welbeck was surely in front of Rooney. Zonal Marking has never got its players formation /position in wrong. Who is changing? I still stand by my assertions that it is only when Rooney and Chicha played as the two top strikers that Chicha lead, while Rooney lead when he's paired any other striker. Rooney majorly lead our attack during that season and that reflected in the large number of minutes he has over Chicha. Stop bringing in your One-man blog Zonal Marking. What Zonal marking said cannot override what the stats that OPTA and whoscored analyzed through technology. Zonal marking is not a reputable stats site. It is purely a one man blog. How can his opinion on football issues be superior to mine? Rooney have finally put the owner to where he belongs that he doesn't know what he's saying. I'll rather believe what Rooney said as it aligns with what Opta and whoscored said than believe what Zonal marking said. As far as i am concerned, Rooney who played all the matches have confirmed to us that he was the lead striker in that season. Any other thing you say is null and void. It doesn't carry any weight. |

elampiro: I choose to follow Ferguson's statements then and other statements from players when memory was still fresh as the events were happening. Even you guys opta and whoscored showed Rooney was one of two strikers with Chicha or Welbeck. Zonal Marking showed Rooney played behind a striker.
This statement from Rooney is coming 4 years after when Van Gaal is looking for a striker and Rooney is trying to convince him there is no need to hunt for another striker.
That's all I have to say. Either you take it or leave it. LMAO! I trust you. You never disappoint me. I knew you will twist the comment again. Even without reading SAF's comment we argued it here with you that the two season Rooney scored high goals were the seasons he lead our attack. I could remember telling you that SAF will never trust Welbeck who just came back from a loan spell with the lead striking role. He'll always use him as the support striker to Rooney. As for Chicha, he had 1478 mins (18 starts) while Rooney had 2838 mins (32 starts) which shows that Rooney played mostly as the lead striker in the 4 4 2 formation that was mostly used by SAF in that season. Whoscored also confirmed this but you kept on bringing articles from some journo and some games charts from Zonal marking. Zonal Marking that's being run by a single who only talked about selected few games. How can you call that a political statement that he doesn't want LVG to buy a striker when: 1. We all know that we are now well stocked in all those other positions he's been used over the years. 2. Wayne Rooney is a privileged captain according to LVG. LVG didn't substitute him in some games he wasn't playing well last season. 3. "If Rooney is fit he must play" This simply means Rooney will be the first choice striker next season. Any striker we buy now is going to sit on the bench until Rooney stink the joint on a consistent basis. 4. Rooney also boldly said this 'So hopefully if I play up there again this season then I can score the goals. It is where I like to play and I am sure it is where I will play. It is where the manager and myself see my best position.' Anyway, whether you twist it or not, the ORACLE have spoken. You cannot know Rooney more than Rooney himself. He specifically mention those two seasons we have argued here that he lead our attack. Whoscored and OPTA also align with our assertions. |

Coogar, siniza et al, the truth is finally out from the horse's(Rooney's) mouth. Rooney categorically said his best position is as a striker. He also put to rest the age-long argument that Rooney played number 9 role in his two most productive seasons in Man Utd shirt (2009/10 and 2011/12 seasons) Manchester United look to finally solve the problem of Wayne Rooney's best position after years of filling in the gaps
July 2008 and Sir Alex Ferguson sits in the dug-out of a football stadium in Durban and talks about Manchester United's prospects for the coming season.
At that time, Luiz Felipe Scolari is manager of Chelsea, Portsmouth are among United's early opponents in the Premier League and Arsenal are only four years in to what is now an eleven-year wait for their next English championship.
Some things, though, are the same. Early in the conversation, Ferguson is asked about Wayne Rooney.
'We have to define his role a bit better,' says Ferguson.
'We have kept using him in different positions, asking him to sacrifice himself for the team. I have to take a bit of responsibility for that.
'I think his best position is through the middle.'
Spin forwards seven years. Much has changed in Rooney's life but much has stayed the same.
The season before that Ferguson sound bite, Rooney had scored just 12 Premier League goals as he was rotated through his manager's formation. Last season, his first under Louis van Gaal, he scored exactly the same number during a campaign that at one point saw him operating as a holding midfield player.
Needs must in football and all that but over the years it has too often been Rooney who has been handed the responsibility – sometimes onerous – of filling in the gaps and as he talked outside the dressing room at Seattle's CenturyLink Field at the weekend the conversation soon took a familiar turn
'My best position, and I have always said it, is as a striker, getting into the box and scoring,' said Rooney. 'The two seasons I have really done that as a lone striker were my two best goal scoring seasons here.
'So hopefully if I play up there again this season then I can score the goals. It is where I like to play and I am sure it is where I will play. It is where the manager and myself see my best position.
'Hopefully I can get a good run of games and repay the manager and score goals for the team.
'I have played different roles over the years for United but you only have to look when I play for England as a striker I score goals. I am ready for the season.'
Rooney is an uncomplaining kind of footballer. Over the years at Old Trafford – he is about to start his 12th season at the club – he has won enough trophies to compensate for the times when he has inevitably sensed the frustration that comes with weeks spent playing effectively out of position.
Towards the end of Ferguson's time the subject irritated him. Equally David Moyes found the subject tricky and only this week Van Gaal bristled when asked about his captain.
'The English media always tell me where he should play,' he said.
This time round at least, Rooney has been pencilled in as United's number nine and he believes the numbers back up the argument.
Asked about the 2011-12 season that brought him 35 goals he said: 'That was the last time I really played the full season as a striker.
'All the other seasons I have been up front, then in midfield or out wide so hopefully if I stay up front then I can get near that again.
'I have no doubts in myself. I have no doubts that I can do that again and I am ready to take on that mantle again and be the one who gets the goals for this team.
'Certainly I hope to score 20 or more goals again. If I am playing as a striker then I will be disappointed if I cannot do that again.
'I don't think I have sacrificed myself too much over the years. Football is a team game and you win and lose together.
'Over the years I have been successful and won a lot of trophies with United and I think there are times when you have to do things for the good of the team and I feel I have done that. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3168761/Manchester-United-look-finally-solve-problem-Wayne-Rooney-s-best-position.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeedWhat has elampiro got to say to these? Hope there won't be twisting that he doesn't understand the meaning of a Striker. Lol. Or maybe he was drunk! This has finally laid this argument to rest. |
