Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla. Casilla, who came through the youth ranks at Real, is returning to the Bernabeu in €6 million transfer eight years after leaving Los Blancos to join Espanyol. The 28-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract. Hope this will make De Gea stay and put pen to paper. http://www.espnfc.com/story/2526229/real-madrid-agree-deal-to-sign-espanyol-keeper-kiko-casilla |
Maybe Herrera is already warming up for goalkeeping role. Lol. Watch him make some saves in training. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3162853/Forget-David-Gea-Victor-Valdes-Ander-Herrera-shows-goalkeeper-skills-training-Manchester-United.html |
dopeJemi:What about this? Transfer News: Liverpool pip Man Utd to Benteke, Chelsea loan demand, Ozil's Arsenal exit Liverpool have streaked ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Christian Benteke, according to the bookies. It's understood the £49million sale of Raheem Sterling to Manchester City has freed-up funds for the club to meet Benteke's £32.5m buy-out clause. Sky Bet currently have Liverpool as 4/6 favourites to secure the 24-year-old with United at 15/8. |
SailorXY:If that guy has that strength and pace that i watched in that video, then we should get him. I think he's more suited for the EPL and this possession football we are adopting now. |
coogar:This is from another site
|
coogar:I know the argument nah! I have been involved in the argument two times but he keeps on telling us there was one big HOLE in 4 4 2 formation where Rooney lived in 2011/12 season and scored so much goals with less assists. Rooney must be THUNDER BALOGUN(remember his story when were younger) whose shot was so hot that he can score so much from anywhere in that hole. That's just it. When you tell one lie, you have to manufacture so many other lies to make sure the first lie stands. |
coogar:GBAM!!! But i am sorry, he will still twist it. It's useless arguing with a person that's addicted to arguing blindly. Even when the fact speaks for itself. |
This is hilarious. The wolf of Old Trafford - ft Ed Woodward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdMFz-W5HaA |
Bastian is really enjoying his move like he had been waiting for the opportunity to come and he grabbed it with both hands. Manchester United's Bastian Schweinsteiger says his injury woes are behind him "Of course,I had a tough World Cup so after that I was injured until I think end of October" Schweinsteiger told MUTV "Everything is fine now,I'm looking forward to giving my best for Manchester United and I'm really happy to be here." " United is a big club with a lot of tradition and it's exactly what I wanted,We have the same philosophy." "I'm here to win titles and that's what United is used to, too.I'm looking forward to playing in the jersey." "It was one of my dreams in my career to be here in Manchester and play for United." "I know him (Van Gaal),so it was a little bit easier, but it's not about him, it's more about the club" "I think I've played twice at Old Trafford - it was always an unbelievable atmosphere."
|
elampiro:You are the only one being illogical. You can twist it whichever way you like. I've established all that i need to establish and it is clear to everybody now because that wasn't the first time Rooney was being used out of position consecutively. If you like increase it to 7 games, i am done with this. |
elampiro:I asked you about EPL games only but if you are including UCL then we should be talking about larger than 22 starts that i stated. Let's even accept that it's three games which i have my doubts about. You are now telling me that Rooney turned into a cry baby because of being used out of your supposed no 10 in just three games out 22 starts? As at 2012/13, Rooney have spent about 9years at Man Utd. Was that the first time he has been used out of position in three or more games? The fact has been established with these that it was top striker position that Rooney was talking about because he played the number 10 position mostly in that season. There was rarely a game that both Kagawa and Rooney played that Rooney was sacrificed for Kagawa in the no 10 position. Kagawa was the one sacrificed unless Rooney played up top. Rooney have been used out of position in his Man Utd appearances for more than three times in the past for him to then complain about mere three games. There is no need for any more argument about this because it has now been confirmed that Rooney was referring to the no 9 position as the upfront in his statement. |
elampiro:Where did i argue with you that he wasn't given defensive duties to do against Madrid? My argument with you was that Rooney was ready to go because he wasn't up top as the top striker, but you said it wasn't so that it was because of the Madrid match. I didn't quite agree with you on that because Rooney simply stated that he wanted to leave because he wasn't played upfront which i believe was the top strike position. But you as usual said what Rooney meant by upfront was the no 10 position. You also said he was played at a couple of other positions in the team. The fact is that Rooney started 22 games in the league that season (2012/13) Facts also are that Rooney played between 19 and 20 games behind RVP as a lone striker or behind two strikers in 4 4 2 diamond formation or behind Chicha/Welbz. Facts are that Rooney played mostly behind any striker we used in that season. How then will Rooney who played mostly behind the striker be referring to the same position he was complaining of as upfront? What i want from you. If you are still saying that Rooney meant no 10 as his upfront, then let us know how many games Rooney played in other positions different from the no 10 position. Also let us know those matches he played in those different matches. Let's see if those matches will be sufficient enough for you to be referred to as the position he was talking about. |
elampiro:I Thought you were saying he was given some defensive duties to do. If you are claiming Rooney was referring to number 10 as his upfront. Can you tell us how many games Rooney started in that season and how many of those games was he played away from the number 10? Let us know how many games he played in each of other positions he was played. By my own reckoning, SAF played mostly 4 2 3 1 with Rooney playing mostly in the middle of the 3 which you refer to as number 10. How many times was he played away from that position for him to be complaining to the extent that he said he wanted to leave? |
elampiro:Rooney was complaining of being dropped into the midfield for RVP who was just bought to top strike. He believed that RVP has just taken his position. He simply wanted his striking position back as the top striker just like he had it in the previous season. If you say it was because he was used in the DM and the wing. How many times was he used in those positions to have warranted him asking to leave? |
elampiro:Twisting have started. You said he only complained about being played in DM in the game against Madrid and i brought out where he complained about being mostly used in the midfield by SAF. You are also saying he doesn't understand the difference between number ten and being a number 9, Lol. You also said he was not going to be sold by SAF if he had stayed on but his quotes showed that he had made up his mind to go. |
elampiro:These are Rooney's quotes after DM took over: Wayne Rooney: Sir Alex Ferguson treatment made me want to quit Manchester United Wayne Rooney has lifted the lid on his dissatisfaction with life at Manchester United, revealing he fell out with Sir Alex Ferguson after being asked to play out of position. But the striker, preparing for England’s World Cup qualifier with Montenegro tomorrow, insists he is now settled at Old Trafford with David Moyes, Ferguson’s successor, giving him a settled place in the side. Rooney looked poised to leave the Premier League champions in the summer, with Chelsea keen to make a move and Ferguson suggesting the striker had asked to leave at the end of last season. Eventually United made it clear they would not sell but Rooney, despite starting the season in fine form, had refused to discuss his feelings on the matter until now. But, speaking yesterday, he revealed Ferguson’s deployment of him in midfield was the main issue. ‘I didn’t feel like I got a consistent run of games upfront [last season],’ he explained. ‘I actually felt when I played in midfield I did okay, but I didn’t want to play there. ‘everyone at the club knew that’s where I wanted to play and I think that’s why I was disappointed because I got told to play in midfield. ‘I didn’t want to, but I’d always go in and try to help the team. [But] THERE HAD TO COME A POINT WHERE, FOR MY OWN CAREER, I HAD TO BE A BIT SELFISH.’ But back upfront under Moyes the 27-year-old made it clear he no longer has any desire to move on. ‘David Moyes has come in, he’s playing me upfront and I’m enjoying it,’ he added. ‘I’m happy.’ That was in October 2013. His major complain was not been played upfront but in the midfield. How can you now say his only complain was because he didn't play no 10 role against Madrid? http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/09/wayne-rooney-sir-alex-ferguson-treatment-made-me-want-to-quit-manchester-united-4141245/ |
elampiro:How will they avoid Madrid saga when the crux of the matter was not only being left out of the most important match of the season but mostly because he's being used in the midfield according to Rooney himself. SAF wasn't ready to drop RVP who was performing for Rooney upfront and Rooney wasn't ready to continue being used in the midfield. So, who do you think will get his wish? If SAF had stayed, he'll never succumb to Rooney so far RVP was still performing in his striking role. This is what will eventually lead to his exit. |
elampiro:The fact is that he had asked to leave in the second scenario which is quite different from the first when he hasn't. In the second scenario Rooney would have continued being displeased and continue throwing tantrums at SAF because he had made up his mind then. This will eventually make SAF sell him off. Showing your displeasure over non-selection in a match is quite understandable at times but verbally saying you want to leave with such displeasure will always lead to his exit. |
elampiro:You are bring in two different scenarios: The first was when Rooney was dropped for Madrid game and he hadn't asked to leave. The second was when he had asked to leave. Rooney himself confirmed that he was ready to leave at the end of that season. |
Ed is really on crazy mode as said by Paddy. Saw this somewhere; Ed on MUTV: "Due to my illiteracy, i couldn`t differentiate Schweinsteiger & Schneiderlin, so i got both." |
JayKayMaybachz:I am not saying he`s not a good player. I am only saying that he has no escuse to be dropping to the midfield or being used as a midfielder with all the midfielders we have right now. Also, he has no reason not to excel in the striking position next season. I am also saying that he needs to raise his game because his performances when used as a CF last season wasn`t good enough as the usual escuse was that he always drop deep to help in the midfield. I`m a Man Utd fan and i`ll always want him to perform because this will bring about the best of Man Utd. |
Signing of Schweini and Schneiderlin brings to an end Rooney`s midfield role/escuses. There should be no more tracking back with all these midfielders. It is either he excel in the striking department or.......... This will probably be the end to the regular quote by LVG about his captain. I hope he raise his game |
Rafael`s agent Cassiano Perreira says as far as his knowledge, Man Utd is discussing to sign Gaitan. Also on the table for Rafael is to move to Benfica. |
Next is Morgan Schneiderlin. |
Paddy Crerand on MUTV - "In the next few days you'll see why United are the biggest club in the world, Ed's in crazy mode" Hope this is true. |
i can`t just understand how some people are defending the indefensible. The money belongs to three parties - Federal Government, State Government and Local Government. How then is it right for GEJ to unilaterally order Minister of Finance to withdraw part of the money without the consent of the other parties (State and Local Govt)? Where then is due process? Can the President of the World Bank where she came from unilaterally order the release of money without the approval of the Board of Governors? NO. Why then did she withdraw the money without advising the President on following due process? The legality of the account is a different thing entirely because the state governments have been dragging the Federal govt to the Supreme Court over the illegality of the account since about three years or thereabout now. This simply shows that it is the Federal Government that is condoning illegality. On top of this, they are proposing to add another one in the name of Sovereign Wealth Fund. |
I think Morgan Schneiderlin deal is a done deal. Read that Man Utd Press Photographer just started following him on Twitter. He also did the same before Mata was signed. |
elampiro:What a question! You expect Ferdinand at 36yrs plus to still be playing top flight football. He retired at the normal age most defenders retires. At what age did Carragher and Gary Neville retired? Fellaini that came with him must be a lazy bone as well after getting to Man Utd despite training under him for so many years. He didn't get his rhythm until a certain LVG came. elampiro:And who was the head of the backroom staff? Even, blaming SAF backroom staff is indirectly blaming SAF because everything they did was done under his watch. Why are people not giving credits to his backroom staff for the success he achieved throughout his career at Utd? Whatever his backroom staff did must have gotten his approval. elampiro:Looooooooooooooooooooooool! Who feared Cleverley as a midfielder in 2008? When did he make his competitive debut for Man Utd? Where was Cleverley playing in 2008? There's no point continuing this. Cleverley "already feared as a midfielder in 2008". I give up. |
He had a reputation as a hands-on coach who pushed his players hard in training. According to Phil Neville, who played for Moyes at Everton, players sometimes ran so hard in preseason training that they vomited. “The Horse Shoe” was a Moyes preseason institution. Neville describes it as “a series of sharp runs that cover distances between 100 meters and 300 meters and there is barely any time to catch your breath in between. By the time you are on your eighth sprint, your legs feel like jelly and buckle, while your lungs are burning. The manager, meanwhile, simply laughs as you collapse.” Phil NevilleAt a point Moyes himself agreed to have over-trained RVP. What he did with Man Utd players was even tougher than what he used to do with Everton players according to Fellaini's comments. |
elampiro:How are they fitter? The defensive midfield problem has always been there since 2010/11 season i think and it's still there up till today. Moyes destroyed everything at Utd. These are some of the player's comments: Fellaini revealed: 'I have a problem with the intensity of the training because I am playing with big players. It is quicker than at Everton. But I am happy. I like the game and I like to play.'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2422051/Marouane-Fellaini-admits-struggling-Manchester-United-intensity-training.html#ixzz3cNgKjhTO He wrote: “Moyes’s innovations mostly led to negativity and confusion. The biggest confusion was over how he wanted us to move the ball forward. Some players felt they kicked the ball long more than at any time in their career.Ferdinand http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/11096067/Rio-Ferdinand-hits-out-at-David-Moyess-tactics-while-in-charge-of-Manchester-United.html |
elampiro:LVG was appointed to bring a immediate turn around to the team. He was given a top four target after last season's dismal performance. No fan has that patience for hm to give those players a season's chance after what happened to them under Moyes coupled with the fact that he has his own football philosophy which doesn't suit some of the players. Don't also forget that LVG had little time to asses all the players because of his world cup assignment coupled with the transfer window closure time. |

rooney told neville the striking position is his favourite role.
