Ukraine and the West are fighting a media and political war while Russia is conducting a Special Military Operation. You can glimpse the differences in their approaches to the war from what is most important to them. Ukraine is more interested in taking photos at any little space it can find for as long as possible even if it loses that territory in the next minute just to show it's western masters it is capable of taken space from the Russians.

On the other hand, Russia is simply interested in securing the donbas from Ukrainian army threats, protecting the Crimea and it's supply lines, and then destroying the capability of the Ukrainian army to wage a large scale war. Even though this trend is glaring even from western reports of the war, western media still doesn't understand and would rather reconstruct the narratives of the war according to what they want.

If Russia were to decide to go all the way and use the western tactics, they would probably have taken up to 40% of ukraine by now but I am sure most people supporting them right now would hate them including the people of Donbass whom they view as their own people. Ukraine has not received $58bn in aid. The US signed Lend-Lease to provide $58bn of support to Ukraine (much of it not lethal weapons) but they haven’t started drawing down on that yet. So far, the US has given them around $8bn worth of aid.

You people need to stop carrying on-paper estimates. In the real world, obscene levels of corruption means that much of these weapons on paper do not exist in real life or in workable condition. When you see Russia dig out ancient T-62 tanks for the frontline, you know their stocks are running really low. There’s a reason they’re depleting some of their garrisons everywhere.

Putin is putting ALL his effort into these assaults without calling for full mobilization. And the cream of their equipment is being smashed in Ukraine. Including their most modern aircraft and tanks.

There is nothing more delusional than the claims that Russia is ‘taking things easy’. How does that make sense ?
