anonimi: Are you sure of the bold part? What is your sourceWhat happened to you? A few years ago you were the one pushing for good governance and exhorting people to hold their leaders accountable for their misdeeds. I remember when you used to Rail against the 'hooligans in power'. Now you're just another government/PDP stooge, lauding any crappy move from the PDP. You have fallen far, my friend. So close to being a true patriot... Now you're just one more lackey on Nairaland ![]() |
You guys are so gullible, it's amusing ![]() |
dancewith: What do you mean? Is corruption now localized? The money the Taraba governors sons stole is now a Taraba state affairs and has no interest to you? Why then was Diepreye Alamieyeseigha jailed? why is Ibori in prison?? stop choosing which to condemn. All corrupt practices are vile. But in this case, I have a problem with selective prosecution Punch is doing. It smacks of promoted reportage.Oduah's case is a MUCH bigger story. The EFCC has already taken over the investigation of the Taraba Gov's sons and there are not much details in the public domain. Oduah's case, hearings have been carried out and her shamelessness has been laid bare. The greed and avarice of the Coscharis Motors chairman is evident to all. Saharareporters came out with a whole truckload of damaging information. Oduah's case is more sensational and thus carries more press time. Stop imagining conspiracies here. |
Sincere 9gerian: I heard the policy will go side by side with car loans. Moreover, some brand new Innoson vehicles are cheaper or atleast the same price range with imported Tokubo vehicles. We have to take certain difficult decisions to move this country forward. The only consumer vehicle on innoson 's website is an SUV. This is likely not going to be in the same price range ad the Tokubo vehicles people want. |
Going out on the river without a life jacket is suicidal behavior. |
AK Money: You are wrong on this one bro and you might wanna rethink, see few spec of this device below. These specs are still mid-range na. |

spinna: tex..You misunderstand. I'm not saying this video will cause stampedes. I'm saying that to some, simulating explosions in Ikeja (i know they are merely visual effects) could be a sensitive issue. It's like making a movie in the US where someone flies a plane into buildings. I'm sorry if it comes out like I'm being critical of your work. The effects are pretty well done. Thumbs up! PS: Only thing to add realism...taxis and Okadas continue moving along the road without any interruption. You'd expect more debris, smoke and of course a massive disruption of the traffic moving in front of the buildings. Cars will likely spin out and startled riders will fall down. Perhaps you'd be best served using a deserted road. |
spinna: Explosions have been reported to be rocking the Ikeja area of Lagos Nigeria. The State House and Secretariat are being evacuated. A witness sent in this video.(warning-fx )1. This has nothing to do with Politics, it's posted in the wrong section 2. After the Ikeja cantonment bomb blast and the resulting stampede that killed hundreds, you'll come under accusation of insensitivity by simulating bombs going off in Ikeja. Another location would be more politically correct. |
free2ryhme: my kwesionThis has nothing to do with 'naija girls' and everything to do with your ignorance. Roommates can easily be used interchangeably with 'flatmates' here. I'm not sure what the point of '26' and '36' is. At that age, both parties are adults. |
logica: There is actually something:I'm sure there are over 150 million girls in the United States. Where's the certainty he was talking about Adaobi? He's been her Roommate...that's all the article says. |
taharqa: Ok oh, Bros. At least we are now getting swhere: so we have all now 'Finally' that Subsidy has always been paid from Or in lieu of d Federation Account. Now, we may now ask/answer the following questns: wetin d Federation Account be? That is, what Constituents (or are d Components of) d Federation Account? More specifically, is d ECA part of d Federation Account, from which d Govt has always been/can draw monies to pay such obligations as Subsidy payments #X and FROM WHICH it also 'saves' ie pays the #32 differential which it then sets aside as SURE-P??.... Like I said, we are getting closer to it. Or, are we actualiYou're right. An olodo is involved here. Thank God you finally accept that you're an olodo ![]() I'm not going round in circles with you anymore. Just answer the simple question that the RVSG has posed "Is SURE-P being funded with monies from the ECA?" That is the only answer I seek right now. |
infonubia: This is really sad. Why would you kill someone all in the name of love? Folks please don't live close to a jealous ex. Stay away! May Adaobi's soul rest in peace. There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in that article that states that this suspect is her ex, or they were ever romantically involved. Why jump to conclusions? |
taharqa: Stop beating about the bush, Ikpeeee...... Where did this ' fixed amount of money the FG was spending per litre on subsidizing fuel' come from??Now I feel somewhat insulted. All this stringing along and trolling just because this olodo thinks the 'Federation account' is the same thing as the excess Crude Account?! Just...go. leave here and summon your superiors. I only hope your sponsors are wise enough not to pay you for the last 10 m0r0nic posts you've made. |
taharqa: Stop beating about the bush, Ikpeeee...... Where did this ' fixed amount of money the FG was spending per litre on subsidizing fuel' come from??The only one beating about the bush here is yourself. Why not answer the question everyone here has been asking you? Why is the ECA being used to fund Sure-P as stated by the minister? I see your alter ego awodman has joined the fray. I don't expect much from him since either you're both the same person or you both uncannily share the same affliction of a low IQ. Get to the point or get out of here and let your superiors like Sincere9igerian bail you out. |
taharqa: So where does the 'monies included in the budget', from which Subsidy #X is part of, from?? Ie where does the funds that are used to execute d budget, esp the Subsidy #X, come from??.... Abeg, try to be straight forward this time with d answer. I usuali do not hv much patience for Kids playing around. K?BWHAHAHAAHAHA!!! And there I thought for one second you were trying to tie in the fuel subsidy payments to the ECA. I clearly see now I am being trolled by Nairaland's resident simpleton .So far, we have established that 1. The FG was spending a fixed amount of money per litre on subsidizing fuel. The FG made several argument for the removal of the fuel subsidy with one of the key points being that the money being used to subsidize fuel could be best served in carrying out developmental projects etc 2. The partial removal of the subsidy freed up N32 per litre for the FG to use in it's developmental agenda, part of which is the SURE-P program. 3. The ECA monies represent the saved revenues from selling oil at higher prices than the budget benchmark prices, it was not used to fund the fuel subsidies and should have absolutely nothing to do with SURE-P Part of Amaechi's response tackled the rationale for using funds from the FCA to fund SURE-P which should have been wholly funded from the N32 per litre freed up from the partial removal of fuel subsidy. Your increasingly inane responses are hilarious, but unfortunately seem orchestrated to divert rational discussion of the issues on ground. |
taharqa: Ok. I 'apologize' to you. Now, answer my question abegLame apology, but it will suffice. Fuel Subsidy monies are included in the budget...absolutely nothing to do with the ECA. Anything else? |
taharqa: Now am enjoying this. Hehehehehe.... OK. So d FG after partial subsidy removal currently 'saves' d differential of #32 from d #X it was spending (ie paying) initiali as Subsidy money. Right. We both are in agreement here. The question that naturali follows is: where did d FG get that original #X it was spending (paying) as Subsidy to Oil marketers, from which this #32 differential was 'saved'??..... Abeg, answer quick. Na dem I go tell you wetin I wan reali tell you. ThanksThis doesn't sound like an apology. Let's try again, shall we? |
mlane: Can somebody pls tell Amaechi to keep his mouth shut? I'm tired of listening to this guy everyday. He should look for something better to speak about.Would you prefer he speaks about Tiwa Savage's wedding? Aki and Pawpaw? The state of Nollywood? |
Timehin: You responses so far on this thread shows that you are an idiotic uncouth fella. That may well be. But my responses on this thread also show that your intelligence is at a far lower level than mine or anyone else here. Timehin: It wil be a waste of time bandying words with you.Actually, It will not be a waste of time. You may learn the benefits of being a patriotic citizen if you tarry awhile. I nurse the impression that these few exchanges we've had have left you wiser and less prone to inane outbursts. |
taharqa: OK. So where was d FG getting d #X it was spending for the Subsidy initiali, even b4 it started 'saving' d extra #32 when it partially removed d subsidy?? The Oil marketers? Surely, according to you, it cud not have been from any of Govt's Accounts/Funds, since Govt cud not now be paying d #32 differential from one of its Accounts (ie ECA) cos it promised to 'save' that differential as SURE-P (again, according to you)? Right??http://www.sure-p.gov.ng/index.cfm/sure-p-secretariat/policy/introduction/ From the official SURE-P website The reduction of the fuel subsidy by the Federal Government in January 2012, as a deliberate policy aimed at conserving and maximizing the oil wealth of Nigeria, generated cries of discontent, fear and worry amongst Nigerians which led to a national strike. In response to the cries of Nigerians, the President announced the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) to reinvest the Federal Government’s share of the savings arising from the reduction of subsidies on petroleum products into programmes and initiatives that would go a long way to ease the pain of subsidy removal and create a better life for Nigerians. See where the word 'savings' appears? On the official website, no less? We're going no further with this until you unconditionally apologize for abusing your betters over the 'savings' word that even the SURE-P agency uses liberally. Now, are you going to man up and apologize? |
taharqa: Another OLODO.... So the FG was receiving money from smwhere (from d Oil marketers perhaps?) that it wud then 'save' parts of it as 'partial savings' for SURE-P??..... IGNORAMUSFG has been spending 'X naira' per litre on fuel subsidies FG now spends '(X -32) naira' on fuel subsidies By not spending the N32 on subsidies per litre, the FG now gets to keep N30 per litre compared to the previous years. Shall I recommend a good dictionary for you to check the meaning of the word 'saved'? I have always known you were the least educated, the weakest link and the most clueless of all the paid propagandists on Nairaland. Thank you for living up to your reputation. I only hope that the likes of Sincere9igerian have been able to negotiate higher rates than yourself. At least you remain marginally better than willywilly. That's something. |
Timehin: Your freedom of speech/opinion do not warrant you insulting others and you aint the only one asking questions on SURE-P scheme on this thread except you mean every response/question on this thread should be about that.I wasn't insulting you, I was merely telling you the hard truths you have blinded yourself to. And yes, it would be apt if every response was on the topic at hand (the pertinent questions posed to NOI) and not attempts to discredit Amaechi. Timehin: I took strong exception to your so-called petty politics and insinuation that i do not care about this country. Then damn well act like you care about this country instead of making noise. This country is badly broken and is veering off course. Some of us want to fix this for our future and our children's future. Get on this train or get out. Timehin: What do you take me for, a political goon or what?Yes. You put it better than I could have. Kudos ![]() Of course, I could be wrong and you may not be one of the paid political goons here. You could just be guilty of making a rather daft post. Refrain from doing so in the future and you may just be mistaken for a true patriot ![]() |
Sorry OP, but it's hard to take you seriously when you can post this tnature: 8. JamboAbsolutely nothing in those words to indicate that there's anything 'off' about the track...then 5/10. It makes it clear these review scores are to be taken with a pinch of salt. |
phellycia2013: na ovasabi go dey worry tiwa she wants tu be classy n beautiful n oyiboish. my sista my wedding day I want tu be beauriful jx like mrs okoye class will definitely come buh when U̶̲̥̅̊ put classy first dts D̶̲̥̅̊ resultFrom the photo in your profile, I think you aren't the best person to be judging Ms Savage on beauty matters ![]() |
Sleekbaby: Is fyn sha bt i dnt lyk d attireWhen I see posts like this, It's crystal clear why so many people fail English in the WAEC exams. |
OdionOdion: That was the meeting attended by NGF delegation led by Gov Jang to Aso Rock after the commissioning of their secretariat.Try and find out from your Gov Ameachi if he attended that meeting and if no why?.Gov Ameachi wasn't elected to govern Nigeria but a sub-national(Rivers),Nigerians elected a humble and intelligent man called Goodluck Jonathan to be their leader not Gov Ameachi,he should wait for Jonathan to complete the mandate by 2019,he should be patient(or Judith) till Nigerians who overwhelmly elected say otherwise.Gov Ameachi mustn't kill himself because of GEJ being President,Gov Ameachi can do absolutely nothing against GEJ,he is a child of destinySo discussions and decisions about withdrawals from the ECA are now done in 'factional NGF delegations' abi? I marvel at the ability of some of you to put aside years of education and common sense just because of some silly sentiments. Have you no shame?! You may have the luxury of being irresponsible and imbecilic, but this issue concerns every right-thinking, taxpaying Nigerian. Perhaps when you grow up, stop taking pocket money from mummy and daddy and start paying taxes you will become more concerned about the future of your country as against the future of just one man. |
Timehin: I doubt if its possible for sitting governors to be ignorant of the source of their monthly allocations when there are shortfalls from oil and other revenuesWell, first you must render an account of what you have done with the education you've received so far. I mean, I cannot believe the inanity of your response. The outstanding question YOU should be asking (as that affects all 160+ million Nigerians, not just the people of Rivers State) is why the ECA monies are being used to fund the SURE-P program. Were you deaf when GEJ told us this scheme would utilize the funds saved from the partial removal of the fuel subsidies to carry out its activities? Why the double dipping here? Who authorized NOI to do this? Put aside these petty politics and pretend for once that you care about this country more than your pocket! |
jusRadical: If you must know, she was not called by OBJ and and GEJ because of money neither did she rise throught the rank and file in world bank because of money.Where did I say she was called by OBJ and GEJ 'because of money'? jusRadical: No matter how much you hate the woman, she is more knowlegable than you.I don't hate her. I just don't worship her like you do. And I agree she is way more knowledgable than I am when it comes to financial matters. She doesn't know more than I do in several other areas. But I digress. jusRadical: You cannever achieve what she have achieved whether academically, maritally, financially, locally, nationally and internationally.academically, financially, locally, internationally...perhaps. But I'm in stitches here over your insertion of the 'maritally' part of that diatribe. LMAO! Pray, tell me, is there any international benchmark for 'marital success'? Perhaps you'd trade your family for hers, but I'm happily married with two beautiful children that give me such joy. Inserting the 'maritally' part is just plain brainless. jusRadical: As I said earlier you can criticize her policies as it affects the nation, but no need to call her names. As I said, I reserve the right to be angry with anyone whose policies are hurting my country. I wonder why you're so emotionally invested in this argument. From your choice of words, you clearly are not educated enough or intelligent enough to be one of her kids or direct relations. Are you the househelp? Driver? jusRadical: Let me tell you, name calling comes from deep-seated anger and/or hatred which kills very fast.Anger, yes. Hatred? No. I haven't heard that hatred kills fast. Any verified source for that nugget of wisdom? jusRadical: Why talk of mother theresa, I thougt that you will compare Ngozi Okonjo Iweala with your own mother and 4chi's mother or even with your wives of you are married or when you will get married.I used Mother Theresa as an example to show 'achievements' aren't always tied to how much money you've made or what lofty positions you've occupied in the Government. Sure that should have been clear to you. I never compared Okonjo-Iweala to anyone's mother. I said @4chi would not swap his mother for NOI. I will never make that swap myself. Perhaps you would, but that's your own cup of tea. At the end of the day, you certainly do not live up to your 'jusRadical' username. Nothing radical about your inane posts, just the same generic hero-worship words one can expect to hear from star-struck boys. The matter of the day is Okonjo-Iweala's stewardship as the Finance Minister, and I am currently unhappy with some of her words and actions. |
manny4life: Nah I did not trivialize the issue to an ethnic one, you're better than this. Read my comment again, I replied him because he exonerated the ignorant customs officer which is the reason for NOI being "BLAMED" like you put it. I referred back to my statement from few days ago, and this confirms my stand that customs are willing participants in whatever scheme is killing Nigeria and Nigerians at large.Yes, you're right. I misread your post. I apologize. |
manny4life: Nah man, the custom man wasn't dumb, he willfully participated in the coverup scheme, this goes by what I said few days ago on a different thread about why are Igbos hated so much. The CUSTOMS are willing participants in whatever goods and services that's destroying Nigeria, yet they blame Igbos. If they aren't, such activity should have been stopped right there and reversed, but no, they participated, now they hound down on her... Abegi. You trivialize this whole discussion by turning it into an ethnic issue. Okonjo-Iweala is being blamed here, not the hardworking man in Onitsha market or the industrious transporter in Nnewi. |
jusRadical: Toddler please you can criticize the FGN policies but don't result to insults. By resulting to insults, you are only showing people how bad your home trainning was (if at all you had any).So by your logic, we take it your home training was bad (if at all you had any) since you quite easily drag his parents into this argument? Nigeria is a well oiled machinery where everyone has to play his/her part. If his parents have worked as civil servants or done their NYSC, they HAVE been called to serve the Government just the same as Ngozi. Is her 'sacrifice' any more than that of a teacher that is posted from her state in Ekiti to go and teach in Kaduna state, leaving her family behind? |
