Elxandre: Know-too is destroying a lot of nigerians. In china the phone products are innumerable. They dont care about foreign models there. And tell me is Nigeria more developed than china that produce and use these devices?

Just that the average african man is enslaved methodically to the white man. The asians have broken free, thats why they have all the whites can boast off. And are even getting the whites scared.

Aside tecno there are a million chinese and asian quailty brands out there. But due to the enslaved mentality of the black man, he will always think an American or european product is unconditionally better than even a higher spec rival asian product (branded chinko by ignorant fellows)

Android authority even reviewed the thl w100 and were shocked by quality and $159 price tag. But bring this product to this side of the world, you will see people tagging it as chinko. smh!

the ignorance in this part of the world is appalling
I'd like to remind you that most of the frontline Android devices are NOT made by Western companies.
HTC is Taiwanese
Samsung is South Korean
LG - South Korea
Sony - Japanese

But I guess facts and common sense have no place in your 'OMG we blacks have inferiority complex because we don't buy cheap 'china' phones' rant. cheesy

Those specs taken from the 'Tecno Q1 Discussion Thread'
https://www.nairaland.com/1230055/tecno-q1-discussion-thread

So you clowns don't even know the specs of the phones you buy?

I'm sorry you aren't well off and you aren't very bright, but high end phones are 'high-end' for a reason. You buy a cutting edge phone, you get cutting edge performance.
if you primary motivation is to save money, be my guest. Some other folks like very good cameras, excellent screen resolution, HDMI/MHL out, wireless screen mirroring, fast CPU/GPU to run all the latest apps and games, great build quality and GUARANTEED UPDATES. We pay for that incremental value.

Perhaps you can go over to the Autos section too and heckle people that buy SUVs from Inspired Autos for not buying a Volkswagen Beetle than can still carry them from Lagos to Kano cheesy

There is a BIG difference between Oritsejafor looking our for Christians and this his overly political stance these days. He has now utterly debased the office of the CAN presidency.
I agree 100000% that Buhari's statement was daft and foolish, i strongly reject any chance that buhari runs again as president. Buhari is now too divisive, too controversial a figure to be of much use. However, what he has just done is to exercise his freedom of speech, and there's nothing illegal in what he said.

I find it curious that Oritsejafor kept quiet when Asari Dokubo was making his threats. I find it curious that Oritsejafor, with no single concrete proof that Buhari is linked to Boko Haram, now makes a press statement stating such links as a matter of fact. Where's the proof? Why must a 'Man of God' peddle such childish lies? This was how the same Oritsejafor went to Benin and claimed that the CBN had spent billions of Naira promoting Islamic Banking. Why the lies?!

Buhari should be ashamed of himself. Oritsejafor should burn in shame too!

Elxandre: You are very ignorant dude.
*the tecno n7 you ridiculed has the same resolution with the samsung galaxy grand duos
*the tecno f7 has a better screen resolution , similar processing power, same 1gb ram, 8gb micro sd, included power bank, both are dual sim , both run jelly bean, the samsung galaxy grand duos and its nothing less than 50k while the tecno is 35k (wtf!).
*and samsung is actually fair with the pricing. A sony phone with similar screen and specs could even be 60k

*and lastly, you keep blabbing about tecno users been broke. But i'm sure those who ride bentleys , rolls royce ,buggati will label you a broke ass if they see you riding a chrysler or a camry. So just shut up and stop acting like you own the world.

I dont even use a tecno.
The Galaxy Grand is not a high end phone by any stretch of the imagination...but still for the extra cash over the likes of the F7 and N7 you get the better Samsung build quality, a slightly faster CPU.

The F7 at 35k is a ripoff, sorry to say. The Dual core processor there was popular in early 2012 and has SINCE been relegated to the sidelines in favor of the Quad core A7 Mediatek 6589 SoC. There are Quad core phones on sale from Lenovo with far superior specs for around $140. So even your F7 is somewhat overpriced.

Hope this helps smiley

Godswill A Judins: sha rap dude u no nothing about this Q1 it runs on ice cream sandwich not ginger bread. and its screen 2.6" with a resolution of 480*320. so stop posting wat uve dont know.
For what it's worth, the specs i quoted were copied from the Nairaland post on the Q1 which already has 26 pages. Not surprising that purveyors of cheap goods do not know what they are buying.

So it's ICS. Big deal. 2.6 inch screen and 320 * 480 resolution is old hat. Single core CPU...ancient GPU...what is this, 2009?

Bottom line is, you folks boast you enjoy the same performance that users of powerful Android phones get. I've showed you otherwise in my previous post. Now, go away!

How can you have a great multimedia experience on a small, 2.5 inch screen? What games do you play on such low end hardware? Look at the quality of the screenshot you posted above. Jagged edges, poor visuals.

compare that car racing game you put there with Real Racing 3 on the Galaxy S4.

What kind of imbecilic article is written about smartphone dominance in Nigeria and does not mention Blackberry?

Like it or not, more Blackberry phones are sold in Nigeria than Samsung & Tecno phones.

Blackberry's popularity is likely to wane when BBM arrives on iOS and Android before September this year, but for a while now Blackberry has been top dog.

You do not seem to get the (obvious) point. Why is he giving out Federal Civil service jobs? What authority does he have? What due process?

Jesus said "Give unto Ceaser what belongs to Ceaser" as a way to spur his disciples to obey legal authority and pay taxes. There is a code of conduct and rules governing the employment of workers into the civil service. None of them include advertising solely through a church and having a 'man of God' give out such jobs.

And i believe a moslem would hv been testifying if any attended the service the day the announcement was made. People should appreciate good work when they see one. These jobs have bn there. But it has always bn given out to family members, church members, friends. But Prophect T.B Joshua was given the opportunity of slots and he gave it out openly. Why then cant we commend his effort.
He is the personification of luv.
Let God continue to bless Him.
What is a 'slot'? Are Federal jobs supposed to be given out as 'slots'? Are you aware you're indicting your own Pastor by saying this?
What he and the person who provided those 'slots' did is illegal and immoral. There is due process in recruitment into the Federal civil service. Since when did a TB Joshua church service become the platform to announce job vacancies in a federal parastatal? What about exams, tests, interviews?

Tomorrow now, if you hear that one Senator has given his kinsmen employment in a parastatal, you folks would be complaining about nepotism. Now it is a 'MOG' and it's the best thing since sliced bread. You folks make me sick.

Chuksgeo: I think this topic should be taken to the top of the page for many more pple to get involved. I was in US in late 2009 when a similar rumor of this nature broke out, mothers were complaining to their doctors about the effects of some of these vaccination drugs that they observed on their babies/kids, even some medical personel annonymously aired their perceived fears/observation. Some claimed these drugs reduces Iq level others say it increases some other forms of diseases etc. Some of these rumors have its belief that the so called 'new world order' group are behind this since the are looking for means to influence and control everything on earth including their fellow human beings thus they are owners of these big pharmaceutical companies that provide/manufacture these drugs/vaccines hence they drive and control fear when these constrains becomes active in these kids who must have become adults again they are the ones to provide the drugs to be controlling these strains later in life. Later the US department of health launched investigations into these claims but U know how it goes just like in Nigeria. I was in Abuja nigeria in 2010 when watchn an cbs channel popular medical tv programme 'the doctors' when they revisited this issue guess what?. Am coming back to finish my story just want to know if people are following.
No need to finish your story. Anyone who knows how to use a search engine knows that all reports of vaccination being linked to autism and stunted growth have been rubbished.

Or is it not the same Akpabio that put a significant amount of energy into attacking the NGO that has been in the forefront of tackling the Akwa Ibom 'Child witch' persecution.

Sincere 9gerian: I see some hypocrites attacking the messenger and asking how the messenger had access to those informations or why the private life of Sanusi should be an issue. This is foul smelling hypocrisy as far as I'm concerned. Why shouldn't the private life of a top public servant matter? The media has the RIGHT to hunt for any information and make it public provided it is the TRUTH and it does not jeopardise national progress or security.

Premium Times did a fantastic job. They named names (not like SR anonymous sources), interviewed multiple sources, published exchanged SMS and phone calls, gave dates and locations, etc. And most importantly, they contacted the parties involved (Sanusi and Yaro) before making the report public.
Well, well.

This concerns ALL Nigerians. The true benchmark on performance lies with the governed. Why do you think Fashola was virtually assured of a 2nd term no matter the reported friction between him and Tinubu? If a President or Governor performs well, he/she has absolutely nothing to fear.

It's not about grand speeches and grand phrases...how many people have been convicted by the efforts of the EFCC and ICPC in the past few years? Instead public confidence is eroded by his shameless fraternity with the likes of Anenih and Bode george.
He indulges in serious chest beating over airport renovation, forgetting to mention that airfares are now much higher and his Govt gets much more in taxes + FAAN levy. The renovation work as seen at the new Lagos GAT terminal is sometimes poorly done.
Under GEJ, his Niger delta buddies bunker 150,000 barrels of oil daily. Those are oil volumes and money that is denied to taxpayers and our future generations...and presido doesn't care one bit.

Chest beating over power improvement, conveniently failing to mention that they are way behind the power generation targets they set and budgeted money for. Promise 6000MW, collect money for that purpose and deliver 4500MW then go around beating your chest you've achieved an all time high. That's hilarious.
There are positives in GEJ's work, but the negatives are Damn too many for the discerning folks to celebrate just yet.
