Mogidi: The article said this:

Your $200bn or the article's $361, who's the illiterate now?
The only thing worse than an illiterate is an unrepentant illiterate.
Estimated macroeconomic impact of $361 billion but the actual projected revenue for the Nigerian Government is $200 billion.

Using snarky GIFs to mask your inability to comprehend written English.... I must say you're the first slowpoke to try this on NL.

So it's only loose girls that should mind where they go and who they talk to?

This is really the worst way to die, quite saddening! Her folks should be contacted and updated ASAP.
Sometimes m0r0ns like you need to STFU and stop being part of the rot!

You know NOTHING about this case, NOTHING about this girl...and here you are perpetuating the stereotype that somehow, the 'loose behaviour' of this girl was a factor in this.
How do you know this was not a girl kidnapped on her way back from Fellowship? Or snatched from a school? Or on the way back from the farm? Why jump to silly conclusions?

I can understand sexist males jumping to conclusions about the victim's lifestyle. it's mindblowing when I see a girl (who ought to know better) spouting this crap when there's zero proof to support those assumptions.

See some tribalist swine happy at the death of civilians!

How do you louts know that there were 'suspicious movements' that people would have spotted? The friends and relatives of the Boston bombers did not know the two kids were terrorists. Not everyone knows these things.

I wonder if people would have been this cavalier with the death toll if JTF had wiped out a community in Anambra to flush out a den of kidnappers.

Not a single one of the m0r0ns blaming the civilians has ever come on Nairaland to report any crime in their area or even take photos of corrupt politicians or police officers...yet you're saying women and children deserve their fate for not reporting stuff that could most definitely get them killed.

Morayo747: Please if you not know the genesis or an argument stop jumping in. This guy out of the blues started insulting me just for expressing my opinion. Telling I'm posing in front of people's cars and whats not. Its called freedom of speech. I'm entitled to my own opinion and because you do not agree does not mean you should insult me. You do not know me from nowhere.
Is that really any different from you jumping in and stating that Osaze's wife is the genesis of his problem?

This is what you said

Morayo747: I remember my Pastor saying in Church recently that all a man needs to do to ruin his own life is to marry the wrong woman. This is looking so true in this instance.
Without any single shred of evidence, you've placed the blame on a (most likely) innocent woman...and such warped thinking makes sense to you because 'your pastor is a woman'.

This is what happens when so imbecilic dolts will - instead of voting for credible and sane leaders - come on Nairaland and start arguing about how their tribe is the best in Nigeria.

The people of Imo risked life and limb to vote out Ohakim even in the face of thuggery and intimidation
People of Oyo state voted out Alao Akala despite the use of NURTW thugs
People of Edo state banded together and got rid of PDP and their crooked ways.

What the frag are the people of Abia State doing?

I'm now fully convinced that not only is Rossikk a Government stooge, he's also on the take from some foreign governments who are desperate to see Nigeria remain undeveloped.

Seriously, quoting Zinox and Innoson as examples of hi-tech in Nigeria? #Where we ASSEMBLE parts made elsewhere?
He's putting forward foreign trained Nigerians who worked on a team in Surrey (which also had a foreign contingent) to build a satellite as an example of our science development.

PATHETIC

How many universities in Nigeria have working wind tunnels? Or Aerospace labs? Or chip fabrication facilities? Which one offers courses on rocketry?

Nonsense.

PS: Let this Government dog tell us why, if we're so developed, every big Government functionary or politician that so much as catches a cold is shipped overseas for treatment. As we speak, Patience Jonathan's mother is in a German hospital. Meanwhile, Nelson mandela is treated STRICTLY in South African Universities.

Rossikk is little more than a sycophantic lapdog.

Eziachi: This opportunistic idiots should leave our Ikemba in peace to rest. Why should Ndigbo ostracise an unknown guy for having an opinion? Ikemba is our finest icon dead or alive but not our Chineke and never lived his entire life as one too.
The bedrock of Igbo way of life is based on freedom to express your opinion among your peers, no matter your statu, background and so on, even when your opinion is not worth airing.
Hence we never ascribed to one person lording it over everyone else,no matter how powerful or rich. Funny how certain pinheads like Umeh never ever learn from the past, as he made himself, another Chekwas Okorie.
For once I agree with you. IMHO, both men should be ostracized...all the potential APGA could have had, consumed by the incessant childish squabble between these two groups.

Phones › Re: Android, Anyone? Part II by texazzpete(m): 6:49am On Apr 11, 2013
Leopantro: you don't understand.
yes the N5 uses a Qualcomm. my beef is why would a chino phone have the capabilities that surpass that of the S2. it might sound a bit noobish but the main reason I got the phone was because it could handle heavy graphic games and something comes and . don't really care about what chip is inside ( do care about the processor speed though) . not into cooking roms or tweaking stuff ( with the exception of constantly working on getting free internet) and have done things on the phone no normal thinking human being should do but it's for the fun of science.

about buying games, if you have multiplmultiple android devices and you access your account, you can see all the apps you have ever bought or installed. it doesnt classify which can or can't be installed.
I recently bought machination.loved that game on PC.it says on the site it works on S2. due to horrible network it took a while to download the data so lost the 15mins window. the game works alright but you can't pass stage two.the game is too big for the screen. sent mails but no reply.
well nothing is perfect
You don't get it.
The Techno N3 is nowhere near as powerful as the Galaxy SII. Nowhere near at all. It is even sinful for you to insinuate that a lowly Adreno 200 is anywhere near as powerful as the Mali 400 in the S2.

There are many different Android phones with different GPUs...you'll find that many devs make the SD data distinct for each major class of GPU (Mali, PowerVR, Adreno). Even if you downloaded a game you bought on another device, the game will recognize the phone you're using and download the SD data corresponding to your phone.

IMHO, you downloaded a version of the apk (which in itself is not the problem) but then paired it with the SD data from the Adreno version. This is why it works well on the N3 but struggles on the Galaxy SII. I tell you solemnly, that game will still not run well on the S3.

Install just the .apk on your S2 and then use the phone to download the SD data. That should fix it.

Politics › Re: How Elrufai bribed the Judiciary to cover his mess by texazzpete(m): 5:53pm On Apr 10, 2013
Idokojimmy: Nasir El-Rufai
Mr. El-Rufai said he budgeted an annual grant to support the judiciary.
The Civil Society Network Against Corruption, CSNAC, has filed a petition to the National Judicial Council, NJC, to investigate Nasir El-Rufai, over the annual grant he gave to the judiciary during his tenure as the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Mr. El-Rufai in his book, The Accidental Public Servant, said that he decided to “budget an annual grant to support the judiciary to procure court recording and automation equipment”.
The statement prompted the CSNAC to petition the NJC over the legality of the allocation by the former Abuja minister.
“We are now aware that these grants/allocation were outside the FCT judiciary budget. We are, therefore, by this petition demanding that the National Judicial Council, NJC, undertake a thorough investigation into these allocations,” the CSNAC said
The group, ‘a coalition of over a hundred and fifty anti-corruption organisations that sets out to fight against corruption and to enthrone transparency accountability in Nigeria’, called on the NJC to make public the outcome of the investigations so as to guarantee the integrity of the judiciary.

Now why don't they ask for investigation of GEJ for giving that University 200 million naira that was not in the budget?

I can't recall seeing this group come out complaining when Alams was given pardon...

Leopantro: Okay, now I'm a bit angry.

Repulse is a HD game on android with graphics that surpass Wipeout on PS2.you can compare it with need for speed on android, graphic wise. Tried it on my S2 and was getting a white screen. Game was also hanging. Tried it on a tecno N3 and it was playing smoothly with no lag. See how chinco is insulting my S2
S2 has a Mali 400 GPU
Tecno most likely is either using a Qualcomm SoC (perhaps Adreno 200) or a Mediatek SoC (PowerVR SGX531)

You downloaded an incompatible pirated game for your S2 and it doesn't play. This is why piracy is a bad thing indeed. what's wrong with paying less than N500 for a game you truly love?

Either way, if you still insist on piracy, grab a Mali 400 compatible version of the game and stop blaming the Galaxy S2
