nelly4:You have always been an intellectual flyweight, so I'm not bothered. The day the likes of Jakumo, Ekt_bear and other worthy sparring partners start calling me out, that's when I'll begin to worry. Look, let me give you a simple analogy for you to Understand (since we've already established that you're not too bright) if you have a fleet of Volkswagen Beetle cars, will you start complaining when someone gives you a very well maintained 1996 Toyota Camry? PS: Your own analogy on someone wearing 50 year old pants is rather daft when you think about the fact that the analogy refers to the US Navy which is the world's largest and most powerful naval force. When you consider that the Coast guard vessels have been kept in top shape with state of the art equipment to track down fast drug smugglers, one wonders which kind of Nigerian will be turning their nose up at this gift. |
bilms:Are you deaf? Someone has given you a case of prior occurrence in Nigeria and you're asking for a lawyer. Was it not at a court the parties took their case to? It was legal for a candidate to go to court without a party (Rotimi Amaechi approached the Supreme Court against the PDP's wishes) and it is legal for a party to head to court without their candidate. |
pDude:ALLEGED Boko Haram sponsor, please. None of the accusations leveled against him have been proven yet. For all you know, this guy in custody could be spreading misinformation. |
Relax101:Exactly the cowardly answer I expected. Thanks for playing.
Classic flip flopping. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand how the Nigerian economy works. A nation that is highly dependent on import with a very weak infrastructure is fundamentally unstable including it's currency. More gimmicks to come from Sanusi.
So you blame Sanusi for Nigeria's 'dependence on on import with a very weak infrastructure'? There's no satisfying you people. You whine about GEJ's stubborn adherence to oil subsidy removal despite compelling evidence that this would make life worse for the masses yet when Sanusi announces a modification of his original plan (showing flexibility and adaptability) you people start moaning about 'confusion' and 'flip-flopping'. Smh. |
The USS Enterprise is still serving as America's premier Aircraft Carrier despite being built in 1961 yet some poorly educated louts here are complaining that a ship made in 1968 is 'too old for Nigeria' I wonder if these imbecilic dolts realize which country they live in? NEWSFLASH: This is Nigeria o! Your country's naval flagship (NNS Aradu) is a mere frigate and is most likely less capable than this ship dem dash una. Yet you people are complaining?! Nigerians can be very very dumb sometimes, I swear. |
Price? |
manny4life:Hehe. I hate it when you people force me into the mold of 'Sanusi defender' when all I ever try to do is to inject some common sense and rationality in the discussion ![]() One day I will understand why you and ekt_bear hate Sanusi so much. Right after I find out why Jakumo hates Buhari with a passion. |
4llerbuntu:Some dude on Xda-Devs released an AOSP ICS Rom for the Nexus S that is reputed to run pretty well. No major missing stuff in that build. |
manny4life:Oya, give us a detailed breakdown of what the man should have done na. You people are just using any excuse to bash this fellow. Relax101:Under Soludo's watch, the exchange rate fell from around N115 to a dollar to around N150. Have you walked up to Soludo and called him a fool before, you this ethnic bigot! You were never known to be one with an appreciable intellect anyway, so I am not surprised.
He is a very confused man
Can you point out to me anything in the OP tha indicates that Sanusi is 'confused'?! If showing flexibility in adapting to changing situations is 'confusion' to you, I wonder where you get off with your repeated calls for the PDP to change their leadership policies?
Sounds like bad news to me: http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/naira-tops-agenda-as-mpc-meets-monday/103306/ http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-11-21/naira-weakens-first-day-in-3-on-bets-central-bank-may-lower-peg.html
And bad news just HAS to be of Sanusi's making abi? Kx:Can you point out any passage or paragraph in the OP that suggests that the CBN Governor is 'experimenting'? andromida:Now this sounds like you're parroting. Seems you've been re-reading those old 'Renaissance professionals' drivel ![]() |
Comrade2009:Why not just admit you know nothing about what you're selling instead of abusing a potential customer? |
babsmii:Yeah right. I heard her answer to the question she was asked about global warming. It was utterly lame. I was truly surprised to hear people applauding wildly. Seems more Nigerians are on the dumb side these days ![]() |
lynxnoon:Yes, but my other points still stand. In 1.5 months time, we'll be seeing CES 2012. There will probably be at least 5 phones with Quad core Tegra 3 processors (increased performance, far better GPU, improved battery life) which will easily blow away the Galaxy Nexus from a performance and gaming point of view. Most or all of these devices will come with a MicroSD slot, something the GN lacks. |
No Mass Storage mode on the Galaxy Nexus. Also no flash installed. Phone runs on a 1.2GHz processor with the ageing SGX 535 GPU. With the influx of quad core Tegra 3 phones in Q1 2012 (we'll see a lot more on these at CES 2012) why exactly are people so excited about the Galaxy Nexus? No mass storage mode is a deal breaker for me. |
atasteve:SO you're saying you'd have no complaints if churches are suddenly built around your house and they hold very loud all nite midnight vigils every blessed day? |
Lies. This close to the US elections, no way will Obama commit troops on the ground without congressional approval first, or at least informing the American people. For example, Obama specifically informed the American people that he was sending a small number of US troops to Uganda on observer and training duties only. Saharareporters is known for embellishing the truth for sensationalism. |
Arosa:Yes, because all the rich businessmen in Nigeria get US Visas without even heading to the embassy. Nonsense. |
Pukkah:Dammit, you beat me to this response! ![]() Obviously now Beaf sees his mentor in serious decline. |
Buhari - Sore loser and sponsor of Boko Haram
Ok, now we know for certain that you're a dunce. |
alienvirus:Unlike your state university, there are tons of departments in Uniben, each one churning out its fair share of brilliant students. |
bump |
deb:On one hand you say that the Super Eagles non-qualification vexes you, yet on the other hand you're complaining that they sacked Siasia (the man responsible for this mess!) |
kettykin:Oya, explain to us how this 'ogbunigwe' could ever have been 'very effective' as an anti-aircraft weapon. Which one be 'Soviet Union's air superiority'? Were you sober when you posted this?! |
If GEJ says awards are given based on how you've 'touched lives in your community, your state and projected Nigeria positively outside the country' he must tell us how Aki and Pawpaw fit this mould. |

Skii:So why aren't you calling the OP out for opening this thread which is extremely disrespectful to the dead Professor (who had proven himself a good Nigerian)? Where's the 'respect for others' when this topic was raised in bad faith and is of extremely poor taste? Skii:Sorry, zero tolerance to dolts must be the watchword. Also, everyone reserves the right to pop in and let the senseless posters know how brainless they are. How else are they to learn? Skii:So you're saying if someone walks up to you and asks you to compare your wife and a harlot and specifies that he wants 'constructive criticism' you will draw up an A4 sheet and start tabulating differences? Do you make it a point of duty to respond to challenges from all the mad people you see on the streets? Skii:If you really now know who Prof Awojobi is, basic human decency would have had you outraged at the insensitive 'comparison' this fellow is trying to make. |
Librate:Now that we've established that you're a dunce, do you really expect me to waste my time on you? |
Dede1:You can be sure nobody here expected an intelligent contribution from your hate-filled arse. Mkpotu:The comparison itself is brainless and it needs to be condemned in very strong terms, not fueled by statements such as yours. |
ak47mann: ak47mann:Never mind this discussion, can't you help us make your comments more readable by placing a few commas and periods in your responses? |
moderatorr:When I was in primary 2, My classmate Uyi told me about a magical bomb called a 'muclear bomb'. According to Uyi, "one muclear bomb can destroy the whole Nigeria" When I grew up, I learnt that the name was 'nuclear' not 'muclear', and that it was impossible for it to be sugar cube sized, or for just one bomb to flatten Nigeria. What's the moral of my story? Use your damn common sense to separate fact from hyperbole! |
Mkpotu:He's dead. Also, Prof. Awojobi was well known and respected locally and internationally. His death made headlines of every paper in Nigeria. There's a statue of him in Lagos and a few streets are named after him. Blame yourself for not knowing who he was. |
Librate: Librate:You're now officially the most silly fellow on Nairaland, a disgrace to whichever tribe you belong to. Even your most rabid tribalistic kinsmen would be really ashamed of you. First you say Prof Awojobi is a 'foolish man seeking for recognition'. Now you say he accepted an award yesterday! You're too silly to realize The man died in 1984, and he died a hero whose works and legacy are highly respected. Naturally, your limited brains cannot compel you to look the fellow up with a simple Google search. This is why many people are turning to atheism these days. A brilliant fellow like Awojobi died young at 47. A great fellow like Achebe is wheelchair bound. Yet a thrice accursed imbecilic toad like you is still alive and walking around. Smh. |
You people should be ashamed of yourselves. Read up about the man whose name you're mocking. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayodele_Awojobi Ayodele Oluwatuminu Awojobi (March 12, 1937 – September 23, 1984), also known by the nicknames "Dead Easy", "The Akoka Giant", and "Macbeth", was a Nigerian academic, author, inventor, social crusader and activist.[1] He was considered a scholarly genius by his teachers and peers alike.[2][3] He quickly advanced in his field to become the youngest professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1974. Earlier the same year, he became the first African to be awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (DSc) in Mechanical Engineering at the then Imperial College of Science and Technology, London (now Imperial College London).[1]Even Chinua Achebe would be VERY ashamed of the OP. pDude:He did not just 'build the Autonov 1'. He was a brilliant Mechanical Engineer, a great teacher and scholar and a principled and highly revered gentleman whose works achieved great respect in local and international circles. I know you're trying to defend his legacy, but your statement doesn't even capture a tenth of what the Prof was about. Certainly he achieved more than anyone else posting here has ever done. |
