@adexcarz, Nice car but why did u pen-scribble ur face?, are u political related?, or involved in a deal gone bad!!! Those are the only reasons i could think of, forgive me if i'm wrong. |
I the poster did not sort it well before wishing for a coup, rather than wish for a coup which will certainly set us backward, lets wish for the death of Yara-disaster. I learnt his wife Turai is even more powerful than he is and she is a doer! if you romance with her, she will put Nigeria in ur pocket. Even if Yara-dua should die she will keep yaradua on life support machine which she got for her husband on her previous oversea trip. It is because of Turai that dora lost health ministerial position and assumed that of info-tech. When she went to Jos after the crisis, she visited the muslims @ the mosque gave them relief materials and refused to see the injured christians in the hospitals nor give them any relief material. |
The summit will be attended by senior government members, business, industry leaders and strategic investors, and is expected to build on the inaugural programme held in March 2007 in Cape Town and the 2008 Summit in Mauritius. The Dubai Summit will focus on the ways in which the new economic actors in emerging economies drive forward global development and create wealth.I'm neither a senior govt official, an industry leader nor a strategic investor!, so that disqualifies me as an applicant. Arab-Americas-Asia-Africa Business Summit 2009You forgot to add Europe , e.g Arab-Americas-Asia-Africa-Europe business summit 2009 (AAAE) |
The indices doesnt show naira coming stronger against the dollar, rather its all a scam from Soludo to create artificial confidence in the Naira hoping that speculators will crumble. There is already a scare in the investment environment and the artificial stability of the naira without increament in the price of crude oil is a hoax and will not stop the jittery that was created by the confessed devaluation of the naira by Soludo, rather this will create more panic and an unprecedented rush for the dollar for conservation. Everyone knows Soludo was jittery in devaluing the naira in the first place, the drop in the price of oil caused a panic in Soludo and the business class will rely on the oil price to determine the true state of the naira. Even yesterday Yara-disaster confessed that the global financial crunch has affected Nigeria. If you have dollars conserve it, i bet dollar hoarding will begin, we are now caught in e-forex trading in Nigeria with the USD/NGN @149.500 / 152.370 (bid/ask) (1-17-09)and you know what happens in forex? fingers get burnt. I see a more stronger dollars cos the dollar is gaining grounds against the pounds, euro, CAD, Rumble for the first time in 16yrs. Unless oil price rises, brace up for N195 - $1 in the coming weeks with $35 per barrel (1-16-09) we are truly in for it no more cover for naira. I only hope the panic in govt will not push them to IMF for borrowing because that will lead to the total collapse of the naira even CFA will be stronger than the naira then. International investors are checking out the reminder of their funds, local investors are confused!!!, The Nigeria investment environment requires a serious bail out, but politicians are busy bailing out their pockets and speaking words to us, as if words have ever cured Mr. president's kidney. |
Sorry, i aint here to do business with you, you asked a question and i gave u a possible answer, shikena! |
Okada helmet, is hot right now going by the new law requiring riders to wear it and the high demand. |
This is what happens when u have professionals in the right places and a working system. Because if the rescue team didnt arrive on time it would still have been fatal. Hopefully Yara-disaster will learn from the Americans. |
Seun, i believe u own it a duty to advice guys and ladies alike on the nairalist dating on the risk of HIV, and that it is their duty to make sure their partners are tested before sex. And also from ritualist/kidnappers who would wanna lure victims on pretence of being a pussy licker. What kind of guy advertise himself as a pussy licker even if he is one!, such advert raises a red flag? And if one is a pussy licker arent there ladies in the neighbour hood to lick their pussy?, why would a guy wanna go far to where he is unknow just to lick pussy. Pls visit craigslist.com to see how they place warnings on their dating/trading forums?, other wise scammers, kidnappers and ritualist would hijack the site and lure unsuspecting victims. |
The right age! would not apply to any one going for masters degree, however one requirement would be work experience to show that you have not been jobless since finishing ur first degree. The VO wont say, but he would check to see if you have any document that indicates your work history since leaving sch. Still, because of financial scam possibility on visa fees by foreign embassy, i would advise you to slow down till last quater of the year. If we had a govt-for-the-people they would press those foreign embassies to evaluate applicants before accepting visa fees, and maybe charge an evaluation or administrative fees of 5% cost of total visa fee, for every applicants. This will help eradicate a big fraud by foreign embassies. |
Where is ur prefered location? |
"YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE'' These are the words written at the CIA headoffice, these same words should be embeded on Nairaland. So that when fooling post are posted the truth will always set anxious minds free. |
Going by the recent financial mess happening in the world economy especially in the USA and UK, i want to use this opportunity to inform Nigerians to know a fraud when they see one especially those performed by foreign embassies. There will be an urge to travel oversea going by the devaluation of the naira and the expectation of hardship in the coming few weeks. But the west are not stupid they cash in on such opportunity to milk funds from Africa because they know Africans naturally respond to fear. Nigerians should be smart enough to know that 90 percent of visa application will be denied in both the USA and UK embassies because the visa funds are in great need. Going by the way the foreign investors called back their funds in the stock market, that allowed for the burst of the bubble market should naturally tell a story of what we should expect this year from foreign embassies. Only student who meet all requirements could be advise to apply and by such students i'dont mean those who will submit an application and start fasting and praying. I mean those who self evaluate their application and know the visa is theirs for the taking, before they approach the embassy. One of the most important requirement for a student visa is attaining the right age, some people are deemed over aged by visa officer for student visa, but most applicants dont even know their age drew the red flag. I would even advise students to hold-on their application for now till 3rd or 4th quater of the year, while all visit visa applicants should cancel what ever plans they have to travel this year until last quater of the year or next year if possible. Besides a weak naira should inform that visa fees in naira will be higher, as well as cost of ticket and travelling allowances. |
Can you package me inside a can of sardine?, so i can eat all the sardine before i'm re-packaged out! |
Meeeeeeeeeen!, the trip as u explained, is like selling one's soul to the devil. Whatever happened to the farms in the villages i sorry for Nigeria!!, even if one gets to europe at the end of the day, it isnt bravery but stupidity. By the time one goes thro' the journey spending days in uncertainty and torturing the mind soul and body one will become a "die again human"All thesame thanks for the exposure, i hope those desperados will read and learn, the human body can only take so much torture the mind, soul and body are three entities which functions as one, none can function without the other. Those harden minded individuals should always remember that the mind requires the body to function without which is death. |
I lost over 50% of my money in the banking sector of the stockmarket. |
This must have been one stuff nut of an experience!!! |
Yeah your right!, its a good time for holders of hard currency particularly the $$ |
The interbank rate just climbed up today, there isnt any sight to the sliding naira, i ;Dts gonna be a free fall!, those who have dollars should be ready to cash on the naira! |
@Rajibrms, I didnt take note of ur location which says Bangladesh. If you arent a Nigerian then you have been scamed for real. If you havent paid the person who procured the visa for you, you might want to rethink it. If you have, then don't raise any alarm play along with the scammers because that will create an opportunity for an arrest, if the scammers have phone numbers the police might be able to trick them into an arrest. Here is the contact details of the regulatory agency in Nigeria that handles such crime you might want to contact them with details of communications, good luck! www.efccnigeria.org http://www.efccnigeria.org/index.php?option=com_contact&task=view&contact_id=3&Itemid=56 Lagos: 15A Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. If you werent at the embassy in lagos yourself, that visa is certainly fake. American embassy wouldnt issue anyone visa without the presence of the individual not since 9/11. Beside i doubt if the American embassy would issue H-2b visa at the point with the state of the economy. |
I have been wondering why Nigerian music are not been played on BETJ TV during the soul of Africa music programme. I have been following it for some few months. They air music from Cameroun, Mali, Senegal, Togo, DR Congo, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Cotonu, all other african states and caribbean. I have been observing it from the get go, is it a conspiracy against Nigeria Music in America?? Share ur experience if ur on thesame page. |
Dont mind soludo, all his talk has no meat!, He is only trying to stop speculators from speculating on the exchange rate, there is certainly nothing he can do, the only time he can probably do something is when oil rises up to about $70buck. |
Wooow 153 naira to $1?, if true thats sweet! |
Using HHO (Hydrogen gas) could save fuel by 20%, if efficiently installed with all technicalities and sizes (dual cell) it could save by 60%. Best of all it burns clean energy and allows for efficient engine performance. with $50 budget, i had concluded plans to build and install a prototype in my car before gas droped to an exceptional cheap rate. However i m keen on installing it in my car for observational purpose and to have a greener impact on my environment, when i do after the freezing winter, i would provide pictures and possibly video. Hydrogen gas burns cleaner and faster than fuel. Its also a bomb!!!, wont adviser anyone without technical ability to try it, however its very safe when properly installed. |
It doesnt add up to me. How did u marry him without meeting his parents? and if u met his parents couldnt you have known his dad?, didnt u guys talk to each other e.g where u from, what kind of person is ur dad? wouldnt the characteristics of his dad have been too familiar? couldnt you have wondered about the closeness of where u guys were from? same state/county??, didnt you know, you both had same surnames?, blood they say is ticker than water, didnt you feel any emotional uneasiness or extensive likeness towards him? , science they say never lie! the blood fusion between both of you during sex should have caused a DNA semblance spark!, that would have made for an uncommon soft spot towards one another. Like i said, better told as a story, because it doesnt add up. so much unconnected dots. |
I don't know why some people have a great admiration of the life abroad. Like my mum always says:"London is just like Lagos" You hustle your way through and work the living day out of ass even when you're a professional. I have traveled to some parts of the world particularly Europe, but not to get a job. But believe me, Nigeria is not as bad as many spoilers make it. We wont have any meaningful progress if everyone starts to talk against a system that is not believed to be moving. I can never travel to the US to make some bucks, not at the time things are really falling apart. Why must you endure this hardship when I know personally of many Americans who complain about the situation their country? I feel so sick when I heard one guy I know very well traveling to the States (3 weeks ago) to make money. He wants to marry an American for a card. Must you become a slave to a minority controlling the affairs of the States?@ Frizy You are inter-twined in a fools mentality. American is hard that what??, that people are loosing their jobs??, or what. Mind you, when u hear people loosing their jobs they aint loosing it that they can't find jobs based on minimum wage of $7.40(N1,000) an hour. they are talking of Jobs that are worth $17 an hour and above with total package including health care. How many people in Nigeria earn $7.40cent (N1,000) a day?, don't be fooled. Those coming home know why they are returning, who wants to get trapped in this bitter winter which is said to be the worst in 30yrs, i'm even angry for not returning home, because the winter is killing me here, tho!, mine was purely due to insecurity in naija. Even ur so called governors, when their wives want to put to birth they are sent to America, because ur leaders are looking for good life for their kids, since they understand that their millions can't give them the good life in Nigeria, because' good life is not about one man having, its about everyone having and smiling. Stay in Nigeria and preach oh! but don't deceive those who have their eyes set on the HILL of HOPE. London and America arent identical, there isnt any basis for comparism. America is a country of migrants built on opportunities. Whatever opportunity u can think about, America offers it, The govt isnt affraid to invest in the future of its citizens or legal migrants. The govt provides the ladder all u need do is to climb. 85% of Nigerians in the USA are bound to be successful as long as they are honest, that is the only requirement to succeed in America, how simple can life be?, You don't need to be a rocket scientist, Just be good and u will be successful in whatever field you choose. So snap out, if you are ever granted a visa come and enjoy the good life, it isnt for sell, it is as free as the air u breath. How many times does Nigerian economy suffer and u see the president Jump starting the economy by paying everybody $600, so that they can go and spend it on the economy? well, George bush did it few months ago and i got my check, Come January Obama is going to pay everyone $1000 additional for spending. Britain will never do such nor any other country in the world and even if they dare, only whites or british citizens will benefit. In America all legal migrants benefited. These are leaders who know that the economy grows when people can spend. America prospers when everyone succeeds. While Nigeria prospers when the leaders are able to steal enough money to render its citizens hopeless to the extent that they exodus to countries worst than their land , Niger, chad, Afghanistan, Ghana, Sudan, Iraq, and u want to brag that u're proud?, wait till you are 60yrs old, your kids will ask you questions!!! |
The basis for which i compared the states to Singapore is basically crime factor, more senseless crimes are committed in the U.S on a daily basis compared to Nigeria (there are more reasons to commit a crime in Nigeria than there is in the USA). The only difference is that the crimes are well investigated and often given closure in the USA. That is not the case in Singapore. Its a virtually crime free state, if u are successful in ur field its only natural that you live long enough to enjoy the fruits of ur labor and not having ur life cut short by senseless crime. Over 95% of singapore citizens are educated which tells u that simple common sense prevails. Americans continually look for the safest cities within the USA to raise kids. @A-town to think it cos they wont even grant you residential status. That u live in the USA doesnt make u any hybrid than the man in cotonu, especially if u cant see beyond ur nose. |
It seems as if Nigerians at home have something against those oversea. Why on earth would people at home wish for those abroad to come and taste from the hard life in Nigeria, this is typical of a black man's mentality. Well let me educate those who care to learn a thing or two. I hope everyone is following the price of oil, those who think they arent affected will know when their naira starts loosing value. Mind you all the funds sent home from Nigerians oversea circulates faster and better than govt budget which goes to political thieves and end of in foreign accounts or burried 6ft deep in their villages. If money stops coming from Nigerian oversea the economy will suffer, there will be serious shortage of dollar which will lead to high demand and eventually increase the cost for purchase of dollar. Those who are smart should start swaping their naira to dollars, because if the downward trend of oil price refuses to stop, then govt will have no choice than to devalue the naira openly. Which means shortening the value of ur small naira in the bank. So, instead of thinking and wishing Nigerians oversea to come or be sent back, think about ur small change in the bank that is about to disappear. Incase u all dont know Nigeria is soon to be another version of Russia. Russians went to bed one day with vodka in their arms happy, they woke up the next day to discover that the money in their account had disappeared, in orders words it was worthless against the USD and they couldnt buy much with it. Today russians keep dollar, pounds and euros under their pillow cases. I was shocked when i watched it yesterday on TV. So Nigerians @ home take note u were warned on nairaland. Unless the price of oil increases or the govt goes to borrow, even borrowing comes with a devaluation price. |
I hope this will be an eye opener to Nigerians at home Ponzi scheme is already going on in Nigeria. Alot many investment firms are practicing it including banks. Recently there was a post on nairaland where a nairalander claimed he was reaped of by IBTC after a so called investment, according to him IBTC wasnt sure of paying him his full investment even without interest. |
i sorry for Nigeria!!, even if one gets to europe at the end of the day, it isnt bravery but stupidity. By the time one goes thro' the journey spending days in uncertainty and torturing the mind soul and body one will become a "die again human"
