Shipping crude oil direct to the refineries in exchange for petrol I must agree is a brilliant way out of this mess. There are lots of refineries out there with excess unutilized capacity that would give us the refined crude at such a fanastic discount.

On the issue of nnpc not being able to ensure transparency in the importation & distribution of the petrol. ... even nnpc knows there is a new sheriff in town ...& his name is Buhari.

#saynotosubsidy.

Two possible scenarios 1. Your boss owns an oil bloc...or 2. He fears your Godfather that told him to employ you.

If GEJ were to be intelligent, he would realize that an award for 'Peace, Unity and Stability' is actually mocking him.

So goodluck does not know that having P. U. S is bad? Only an infected tissue will generate PUS.

I bought the book last year, but it has been gathering cobwebs in my bookshelf, i lost interest in reading the book when i later found discovered on the Internet of its sexual explicit contents. i definitely would have zero interest in watching the movie.

please someone juggle my memory which book contained the story of the highway robbers!

Now you know why we struggle to have constant electricity, evil like this can only thrive in an environment where darkness rules.. mark me the culprits may never be caught as usual. RIP to the dead.

No, This is a Good News for Nigerians and Bad News to her corrupt leaders.

Sorry, this is not bad news for our corrupt leaders,.... it will just make them more desperate in their stealing as they become increasingly aware that the pot of soup is dwindling at an alarming rate.

Oil reliant economies, even the boom ones, are not stable economies.....as the article quoted below puts it...

This may not be a problem in the short-term so long as the country has enough foreign exchange to pay for the imports. The depression in the non-oil export sector and the boom in the other two sectors have medium to long term implications for the economy because the oil windfall will not be permanent given the volatility, unpredictability and exhaustibility of crude oil. For instance, if there is a decline in oil prices and oil revenue, the lagging and collapsing non-oil export sector will not be able to compensate for the drop in oil revenue while domestic demand for the non-traded goods and imports remain sticky. Consequently, the country will be forced to borrow from the international financial market to compensate for the decline in oil revenue. Over time, external debts will increase and so will the debt service obligations. Even when oil prices go up later and there is another round of oil windfall, it is difficult to correct the earlier damage or distortions created by the initial or previous oil windfall. In some cases, the oil exporting country may be forced to adopt some form of structural adjustment program (SAP) to correct such distortions or imbalances. Some of these SAPs are painful and may increase the prevalence, depth and severity of poverty.

Infact, oil economies that do well are

1.Have populations below 15 million (Saudi and UAE and Norway)

2.Have strongly diversified economies....especially industrial economies. (Norway again).

let me add no. 3 have fantastic thinkers... by the way the World Chess Champion is from Norway... Nairaland can thank me for this piece of info later!

OPEC as an organisation supplies about 20% of the world's crude oil. You won't want to piss of your biggest member. Besides there's nothing OPEC can do, cutting oil quotas to raise the price plays into the hand of shale oil producers.

Please let me add to the list: to all the joggers do not assume there are no lunatics driving on the road, even on one way road look left and right, so jog with a clear sight of cars in your front.. dont jog too early in the morning to avoid drunken drivers coming out from nite out/clubbing session, we should not forget the hit and run incidence that lead to the death of Mr. Dimba Igwe (Vice Chairman Sun news paper), may his soul RIP.. Ensure your headphones are not set at a volume which totally blocks out external noise, such as the horn of a car or the voice of passerby. Avoid as much as possible taking any medication before you go out on a run, if you must take a medication skip your workout for that day. Always have your quiet time with your creator, before stepping out in the morning, to avoid stray bullets, the risk of jogging early in the morning are much.. i had a bitter experience of being punched by a mad man while jogging, even though i maintained a reasonable distance, since that incidence when ever i see a mad man, i now promptly cross over to the other side of the road. I have seen ladies handbag being snatched in the early hours of the morning by robbers on okada, i just thanked God that while i ran pass the robbers, that they were not trigger happy.

RIP OLIVE.

Peace to all the joggers/runners in 2015.

Truly the heart of man is desperately wicked. .

Honestly we urgently need a change you might be right mr. fasehun, but what other options do Nigerians have!

Never let the reality of your circumstances constrain your dreams. This is a very inspiring story.

we must first ascertain the sanity of this individual. Truly an insane act.

It wont surprise me if the 2 children returned are Femi's favorite...
If Femi had come for my advice, i would simply tell him commence the process of adoption, to prevent any issue when the real father resurfaces in the future. The woman can spill the beans in the future just to get even at Femi, especially if the non-biological children become the biggest stars in the family. There is no way Femi would not have some emotional attachment to those children.

Thumbs up young lady.

Oil majors divesting, mtn N10 recharge card, are these truly the signs of a prosperous nation?

Rest in peace! the question now is what lessons can be learned from this sad experience for the living... i hope a medical post mortem examination would be done to ascertain the cause of his death!

Sorry for the loss of your brother, but from all the responses on nairaland and advice on the way forward, i pray justice would be done on this matter.
