PrinceOfLagos:A lot may depend on your relationship with your Boss. But as a general rule, get them a gift that they would appreciate. But if you must give them money, do it in a classy way, that they can't refuse, e.g get their account from their PA or write a cheque and put it in a Seasons Greetings card, preferably in a hamper or accompanied with a bottle of their preferred wine. Asking for an account number is condescending and rass. |
bolabizzle:In many cases, Japa is looking like the Second Slavery Fela spoke about . |
Josephamstrong1:How did you arrive at this conclusion? Have you examined the computation of all the results from Her class? Better thank God she Is smart and stop putting her under that undue pressure of comparison and unhealthy competition. Your daughter is crying and you are supporting her tears, instead of encouraging her, celebrating her and getting her the gift she deserves. Na wa! |
UptownVibes:You obviously did not watch the interview talk less of reading the post. Who said he didn’t remember the organization he worked for? He just didn’t remember the website. And for his age or generation at the time, it was excusable. Meanwhile, Should I base my opinion on the interviewers feelings of shock? And, Are you okay at all? |
Entprys:Supporter of Godfatherism spotted. |
robosky02:Well said. Wike should face His work in Abuja and let the governor govern. |
TajuDEENaMao:This is the kind of work some people sell all their property and japa to go and do. Yet they can still not do it. |
UptownVibes:So because he couldn’t remember the website he doesn’t know book? Na wa. |
fortunechy:How do you know this? |
I am proud of Him. He looks like a jolly good fellow. |
EconFinance:Japa means to run away, escape , flee for dear Life. |
Advertisershubs:Ephesians 5:21- SUBMIT YOURSELVES ONE TO ANOTHER because of your reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband has authority over his wife just as Christ has authority over the church; and Christ is himself the Saviour of the church, his body. And so wives must submit completely to their husbands just as the church submits itself to Christ. HUSBANDS LOVE YOUR WIVES just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. How exactly shoUld she submit by accepting that she offended him just because he feels offended? Should she Submit to his tantrums and childish feelingsz It’s so easy to say a woman should submit. But the scripture says we should submit one to to another and husbands should love their wives as Christ loved the church, you cannot love as Christ does loves without submitting your self, Will and ego . Is the OP being loving to his wife by letting his emotions rule their relationship? No! |
SayNo2SmallPrik:What is the rubbish there? He clearly did not have a superior argument to his wife’s point. But rather than accept it, he is offended because of his fragile ego. |
If you are offended , it is your fault and not that of your wife, especially if she did not say something to deliberately offend you. But you want her to take responsibility for something she did not do, which is to deliberately offend Or insult you. You need to ask yourself why you feel offended and take responsibility for your feelings as a Man, rather than blame how your feel on someone else. Especially a woman. Are you sure you are not feeling that way because she spoke an uncomfortable truth? Ego is not very good in relationships , you need to learn to put your ego aside. If you and your wife are not communicating well it is because you are relating with her as an offender based on your feelings. You need to start relating with her as normal. You need to snap out of it. Leave tantrums for Kids. If you Must tell her anything, Just tell her that you felt offended that’s why you were not communicating normally with her but you have decided to take responsibility for how you feel rather than blame it on her. Then move on. Don’t let a small issue fester and become a big deal. Good luck . |
Sirianese:You were expressing an opinion. But he was expressing a fact when he said it was above you, cos you clearly did not understand the post. Yet you jumped to insult his Father. So is it you that has home training? |
Sirianese:And you need to $&@& , clueless young man. |
Yeah, blame it on God. The easiest way to avoid taking responsibility or becoming responsible. Soon they will tell you the high cost of living is the will of God, if not it won’t be happening. |
WhisperedNoise:Where did you see “quaking and quivering” ? Certainly not in this article. |
Kloenboi:I have not discouraged any one. Rich people don’t Japa. Otedola and Elumelu are not thinking of how to Japa, and both of them became rich on this Nigeria, like many others , including the likes of Portable , so let’s not make it sound like anyone who lives automatically has a better life. There is always a trade off, but many don’t count the costs. A clear example are the many who die in the Mediterranean Sea heading to Europe, or those who have ended up as slaves in Arab countries or families being torn apart by the pressures of Japa… Anyway, I encourage young people ,especially, to travel and explore the world, but I will never encourage them to run away “Japa” from challenges but to look for opportunities in them, whether within Nigeria or outside. |
Reading some of the reasons, I want to believe the OP is just being sarcastic. |

Recruiting for what roles, exactly.? |
fergie001:How many times will they donate? And why do they not donate a percentage of their salaries, except of course they don’t need their monthly salaries. |
Kloenboi:You are right. That is what he said. I only paraphrased “realise” to “when their eyes clear” The truth is that Nigeria needs them , whether they realise it or not. But I wont argue against the argument that one may have to solve his own problems before he solves that of His country. But those who are thinking of what they can do for their country or communities, above what their country can do for them , don’t think of “Japa” as in running away, escaping to any and everywhere, without a sense of purpose. |
slaawomirr:Let’s leave Christianity and religion aside for starters. 1. Are you saying there is no creator? Or source of all creation? 2. If yes, to “1”, do you have proof? 3. If yes to “2”, please share. Then we can take it from there. |
Omooba77:Ordering my steps. |
The headline is highly misleading and most likely written to sensationalize his statement. He neither endorsed Japa syndrome nor encouraged them to leave. On the contrary, he says that Japa will create opportunities for those left behind to even compete globally. He also added that when the eyes of japa-items clear, they will realise that back home is where they are needed. Change this irresponsible headline |
Some people here will still blame it on Peter Obi. |
GOTVee:"act like a Roman when in Rome" abi? No wonder you are talking like someone who is not born again, because you are in an unborn-again world. Believers are meant to stand for justice, that is what the Woman did, and for that she faced injustice. She sounds more born again than you, to me. |
omoadeleye:What kind of question is this? Who presented the budget to the Senate if not the president? The ministries, departments and agencies prepare their various budget proposals. It is for the presidency to review, probe and prepare the final budget for presentation. |
Nonny95:He is probably talking about running across the border, to Niger Republic or Benin Republic. Meanwhile, I will never understand people who tell other people to Run away from , without telling them where they should run to. Just run away sha. Such a cowardly and/or purposeless thing to do. That’s how many are jumping from frying pan to fire. |
Fighttillvictory:Glad the article began with “Controversial Islamic Cleric”. Sheik Gumi has an agenda informing his controversial and mostly illogical statements. |
nlfpmod:So simply because the project was not started by your administration it should be completed by your administration? So even if the project is of no real functional value or economic significance it must be completed simply because it was started? So even if there are more pressing economic issues , the project must be completed now now, in 2024? Na wa! |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, I don't support her release. Next time she will learn to act like a Roman when in Rome
