If you have not spent up to 4m on engine replacement parts don’t argue with me it was a very old man at Ajayi farm in ikeja that fixed and gave that the advice the old doesn’t need to get black before u service

A very old man told you...right, that's your only justification? Okay.

I'm not even arguing with you as I know a range rover is not a daily driver vehicle for most Nigerians. Anyways kontinu with what works for you.

The same Modus Operandi, but different timeframe. OPs incident is early 2000s.

Besides, cult groups mimic each other on various levels.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Do You Expect A Job Seeker To Pay N480k Before Getting A Job? by thelegend1(m): 12:09pm On May 24, 2022
The one that shocked me to my bone was a Recruitment for Dangote. After hyping me that they love my profile and that the job would be mine, the so called HR manager (probably 3rd party recruiting on behalf of Dangote) told me I needed to pay some money to secure the slot.

I asked myself what if this is how they've been brainwashing other people? Swallowed my pride and rejected the offer...but saved the chat for future reference.

Be deceiving yourself, as if the e70 is a light car.

You like to talk off point. Are we discussing Range Rover parts, or are we comparing BMW X5 to Range Rover? If anyone is deluded, it is definitely You.

Breakpad tokunbo is what you called pound foolish?? Breakdisc?? Even a tokunbo radiator is what you called pound foolish?? For a 2010 car!! You're not serious right??

The range rover of 2003-2012 Era is quite a heavy car. There are certain things you shouldn't buy as tokunbo unless you want to fix it again in a very short period.
Brake pads, Ballon, drive shift, height sensors, even fuses! These one's should be bought as original if you want peace of mind.

That was 7 years ago. I also remembered a time when the parts price are very high. Moreover, maybe you are the type that would just give money to the mechanic without checking things out yourself. This guy has no reason to lie to me. I don't use a RR, I own a bmw e70 and most bmw parts sellers sell LandRover parts.

Fun fact about most Range Rover owners (especially those who bought it when BMW was the manufacturer) they usually own/drive a BMW.
That said, I owned an L322 and two E60s...I dey go ladipo myself ooo.

The prices are surprising but since you trust the mechanic/supplier why did you post the chat on social media?

The Range Rover man, how is the maintenance of the RRS 2009/2010 now? I asked a part seller for the prices of some of the parts of the 2010 RRS , he gave me some ridiculously low prices compare to how you make it feel here. Below are the screenshots, they are even cheaper than my bmw e70 parts.

Hahaha...run ooo. I owned a range rover about 7years ago and the prices weren't this cheap, even with the current inflation.

Career / Re: Panic As Banks Plan Downsizing Over Rising Operating Costs by thelegend1(m): 5:02pm On May 17, 2022
The cost of diesel is not the only root cause. Adoption of new technologies and customer service channels also contribute to it.

Nigeria is a developing country at the precipice of technological revolution competing with semi illiteracy (sticking to traditional ways of doing things).

If you're not developing yourself in this computer age then your opportunity for white collar jobs is greatly reduced.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

We apprehended 3 Members of Vikings in Onitsha after a power intel on their activities.

They Belong to a special Cartel where they supply Ritualist and Native doctors Human Parts

When there is a special request for Human Heads, they immediately start a cult War so they can supply as Many Parts to them.

I then asked why fuel a cult war just because you need Human Parts and when you can just get the parts via other means and the reply i got shocked me.

Cult members : He dey easy for us during Rough sea because nobody they care about the dead body. Police no dey reason am again since na cult war

I then asked why they prefer to drag other members of your fraternity into a cult war just for human heads when you know they can be in danger due to retaliation from the other cult group and he said " NA THE GAME BROS "

You can see what you have gotten your self into. Your members do not care if you die as your life is not important to them and all they need is Human Parts. They make Millions from this

This is the reason for missing Body Parts after killing.

SAYNOTOCULTISM

He that hath an ear let him listen. No more brother deliver brother.

Family / Re: Can I Sue My Father For Selling Our Inheritance, His Properties Anyhow? by thelegend1(m): 11:16am On Apr 23, 2022
Logically it's his property and he hasn't willed it to his children (pls verify).
At this point, focus on yourself and your unborn children so you can have estates for them to inherit.
From personal experience, property breaks the fabric of family ties quicker than anything in this world; don't hold on to it if it's not yours. Just get your own thing and maintain your lane.

Family / Re: Should I Marry Her? by thelegend1(m): 9:22am On Apr 22, 2022
questionanswer:
I have a lady whom I want to settle down with. The lady is respectful and behavior well. But I'm being bordered by suitations surrendered her. I'm really rethinking the possiblity of proceeding with the marriage plan. And the reason is:

1. I'm being bordered because the lady doesn't really have a work or a skill. And she's not making an effort to empower herself. I told her to go learn work but she refused and keep giving excuses.

I don't really want to marry a liability who cannot assist the family.

2. Her family is very poor and broke. And I don't really have plans to take care of my wife and her entire family.

Please I need a mature advise on this.

Thank you.

OP, You've answered your own question with this post.
But if you need additional comments, here are my 2 cents. She is just pretending to be of good character, put her in your matrimonial home and watch her true nature manifest.
She is not self motivated which means her poverty mentality is endemic and will always look for a handout - this in itself is your biggest woe as She (and her family in extension) will always pressure you for things/support/handout. And where you can't provide, they move to the highest bidder.
There's a big difference between being broke and poverty...know this and know peace.

Business / Re: OPINION: Can A Legit Hustling Nigerian Make It 'big' Without Involving In Fraud? by thelegend1(m): 8:05pm On Apr 13, 2022
ETHICALLYrlght:

The most wealthy people anywhere do not lack anything but integrity. It is almost impossible to "make it big" as a honest individual, however, dishonesty does not amount to fraudulent practices. There are practices that are not fraudulent but cheat the system.

In developed countries, Billionaires spend quality time with investment bankers and legal practitioners to invent ways of cheating the system without breaking the law. These professionals guide them to manipulate the system within the law. For instance, the professionals could formulate a framework for reserving revenue at Tax Havens without breaking money laundering or tax laws.

A typical example is tax evasion by Billionaires. If Elon Musks needs 1 billion dollars for a personal project, all he needs to do is to sell some of his shares worth that amount. However, he will be charged 10% tax which is the tax rate for sale of shares that is entered as personal revenue/income. Instead of selling 1 billion dollars worth of shares, Elon Musk would rather use his share certificates and other documents to borrow $1 billion dollars from a bank with interest rate of 3.5% per annum. Tax is not charged for loans.

Elon Musk gets $1 billion to return $1.06 billion after two years and keeps his shares that may be sold for twice the current price next week instead of receiving $900 million after tax reduction and losing some shares that may become as twice as valuable next week.

Elon Musk has evaded tax through this strategy after the bank credits him with $1 billion but he has not done anything fraudulent. He's only exploited a lacuna in American Law. That's how it works.

This guy knows his onions and writes very well. Definitely a lawyer with at least 7 yrs experience.
