Hi Sly, A million thanks for your fast and efficient response to my camry VIN enquiries. The Carfax report has made my day cause I bought the car from Cotonu and started using it since Dec. 2006. However the interior of the car does not really reflect the very good Carfax report. I had to refill the A.C. gas twice and service the line due to gas leakage, and a big crack on the dashboard panel screen. The auto gear area where "P, R, N, D" etc is indicated is almost completely faded as if a corrosive fluid was poured on it. The CD was not working and had to be replaced with a new one. The cigarette lighter unit was removed and I am still searching for a replacement. I also changed shafts, ball joints, shock absorbers, exhaust pot amongst many others. How can you relate such a good Carfax report with my observations. However the engine performance is sound, also the body shape and size makes it stand out from other camrys of its class any day.
Again I appreciate the noble work you are doing. NAIRALAND is the best. GOD Bless.

However. . A CARFAX Vehicle History Report is based only on information supplied to CARFAX.
Other information about vehicle, including problems, may not have been reported to CARFAX,

I mean, the crack on the dashboard panel screen,the gear et all might have been regarded as a minor problem by Carfax. . . .
Which they expect your dealer to inform you about! or which u would personally notice when ''test driving'' or examining the car.

And again. . .Some problem might have occurred during the shipping process and u know it would not be possible to report. . .
Such problem to CARFAX after the car has been shipped out of the USA. i do hope u get my point. .

SALVAGE TITLE/CERTIFICATE ISSUED

A Salvage Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage but the majority use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again in that state.
