To be the number 9 of Barcelona back then you had to be fast and technical, nobody matched Eto'o back then, and surely not Henry. Go and youtube Barcelona's Eto'o and you'll find the classicos. Eto'o better anyday that's the reason he scored in 2006 vs Arsenal + MVP and in 2009 vs United Henry always being on the pitch. Eto'o benched Henry too so no debate.

What the hell ? Henry better technically than Samuel Eto'o ? Eto'os class is Drogba, Torres, Raùl, Van Nistelrooy ? I want you to remove it very fast because you can put Lewandowski and Haaland on the same class than those players but Eto'o was just on R9 and Romario level in terms of style of play. You can't compare his dribbling abilities to Henry because Henry needed space while Eto'o could kill u in very tight spaces. They were similar in terms of pace but when it came to dribbling, link up and combinations, Eto'o was his dad don't be ridiculous there is a reason Henry didn't fit with Barça : he wasn't on the technical level of Eto'o, Messi and Iniesta. And yes Eto'o scored a more beautiful solo goal than the one Henry banged against Madrid.

And I notice except 1997/98 with Monaco, Henry never reached 7 CL goals, his max was 5 and I don't need to remind you the UCL changed in 2003/04, before that Season it wasn't the same format because there was 2 group stages.

It's simple. Lewandowski better than Eto'o ? What a joke. And the ballon d'or Suarez wasn't a striker, he was a midfielder. The reality is when it comes to FC Barcelona, Eto'o is the best 9 ever, Ronaldo Romario and Luis Suarez are below. There isn't even a debate about it.

I don't know why you guys refuse to be objective or to give the credit an african brother deserves. I'm pretty sure reading you that you didn't watch Eto'o at his peak. Sure you heard about him, times to times you watched highlights and noticed he was a goal machine but you didn't really watch his games in La Liga with Barça or in Serie A with Inter Milan, you're a big EPL fanboy that's it. Henry had more hyped and his actions were more decrypted because he had powerful medias on his back, they sold him better.

But on that comparison against Eto'o, let's be honest he isn't on Etoo's level no matter what the english hype machine want to sell because Eto'o has better goals stats both on carreer and on their prime, by far clutcher, a better level of adaptation to différent teams and football because we're talking about a player who led a small team like Mallorca, a big club like FC Barcelona and another big club like Inter and they all played different football, the technical quality and dribbling skills, the trophies especially major trophies like the UCL and clubs world cup.

Talking about how many golden boots he got is irrelevant because he still scored more and his league goals records aren't less impressive than Henry's :
2004-05 Henry = 25 league goals
2003-2004 Henry = 30 league goals

2004-2005 Eto'o = 25 league goals
2008-2009 Eto'o = 30 league goals

So you can't say Henry was better because he won european golden boot while he didn't beat Etoo's top stats, it was all about concurrence because Forlan scored 32 goals in 2009, but also about luck because each 2 years Eto'o played AFCON in the middle of the season.

About the ballon d'ors FIFA rankings, it's all about hype, sponsors, powerful federation because they're political and marketing awards. How could Eto'o who came from Cameroon could get the ballon d'or when competing against french, brasilians etc ? All the powerful medias, big federations, influent sponsors aren't from the african continent. A football player is also a marketing product and that's the reason he never won a ballon d'or he fully deserved especially in 2006.
