CrimeRe: Lagos: Man Beats His Mother To Death For Refusing To Give Him N20k Pocket Money by thinkmoney(m): 6:16pm On Jul 21, 2018
Bhelamblog:
Emmanuel Eghaghe a 27-year-old man, is on the run after he beat his mother to death for allegedly refusing to give him a sum of N20,000 after he visited the 61-year-old woman at her shop on Jinadu Street, Ajangbadi, Lagos State, on July 6, 2018.

According to reports Emmanuel told her mother, Helen, that he needed the sum for pocket money.

He reportedly resorted to violence when the elderly woman said she could not afford the amount, slamming her head on the wall while he was struggling to get the money by force.

She was said to have sustained an injury in the head. While blood gushed out of her head, Emmanuel fled the scene.

A resident, who pleaded anonymous said:
“The sister of the suspect has a hotel in the community. He gave their mother a room in the hotel. She also opened a shop for the woman in front of the hotel. On that day, the suspect approached his mother and asked her to give him N20,000 pocket money.

“The woman said she did not have that kind of money. He pushed her to the wall and broke her head in the process.

There were bloodstains everywhere and the woman eventually died in a hospital. He ran away immediately and has yet to be found. His sister was abroad and she was planning to relocate him there. A resident informed the woman’s brother and he travelled to Lagos from Benin. I was surprised why a child would do such a cruel thing to his mother.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident, noting that the command had launched a manhunt for the suspect.

When nationalists lead their country you see it in their attitudes when the nation calls. They rejoice when their country is blooming and mourn when things aren't as it should be.

Mere looking at the French president and his Croatian counterpart, you'll see nations striving to hit the top, young vibrant youths with modern day know-how.

What do we have here? Partisan old greedy fascists with analogue brains whose interests are to move party ahead at the detriment of the nation. Old religious bigots who are still searching for oil wells in the 21st century when the world is searching for alternative energy, when auto manufacturers are going electric.

In Africa today, take a look at Ethiopia, Angola, Ruanda, Tanzania and even Ghana and compare them with Nigeria.
It's a pity we have dumb mumus as youths who refuse to claim their country from these parasites.

PoliticsMy Take On Elite Election by thinkmoney(op): 12:53pm On Jul 15, 2018
In Nigeria, we deserve our leaders. It still very much pains me to see how ones conscience and conviction can be swayed by a meager amount like #3000 as has happened in Ekiti.
I am not bothered much by the choice of Fayemi, as I am not sure who would have been better between him and Fayose's choice. This Fayemi has been governor before. And here in lies my concern. The seeming fact that we lack credible options in our politics. This is why I am beginning to think Buhari will be here beyond 2019 - or where is the credible alternative!?
Somebody's comment on the outcome of this election though not very palatable is however filled with meaning. He reasoned; 'so I can buy an Ekiti lady for four years for just #3000.'
Nairaland General*short World Cup Story For Your Motivation* by thinkmoney(op): 10:27pm On Jul 13, 2018
Croatia came to this World Cup with only two natural strikers. Mario Mandzukic, the guy who scored the winner last night was one.

The other was Nikola Kalinic.

Kalinic was on the bench for Croatia's first game against Nigeria. With five minutes to end that game, coach instructed him to dress up and replace another player.

Kalinic angrily refused to play, in protest of being left on the bench.

He saw himself a top player, and wouldn't come on for just five minutes. The coach turned to other player Pjaca for the substitution.

After the match, Kalinic refused to apologize, despite appeals from other coaching staff.

The coach then sacked him from the team, and sent him home from Russia. Kalinic flew for holidays, and even posted pictures of himself enjoying elsewhere.

After all, he seem to imagine Croatia won't go anywhere in the tournament. But without him, the team managed to win their matches.

Croatia achieved their greatest football achievement in history, reaching the World Cup final.

The remaining 22 players are national heroes. Their names forever inscribed in the hearts of generations.

Kalinic is not part of the winning team all because of minutes of anger, pride and bloated ego.

He may have regretted now but it is too late. These stories about life are quite familiar to us, but do we really learn lessons from them? As they profoundly apply to all spheres of life?

Learn to cut pride, learn to control anger and deflate ego. And ultimately, learn to say SORRY.

Years of sweat and dedication can all be shattered by moments of anger and pride.

Don't be a Kalinic.
CrimeUS Woman, 92, Kills Son To Avoid Being Sent Into Care Home by thinkmoney(op): 11:20am On Jul 04, 2018
A 92-year-old US woman shot and killed her son, 72, in order to avoid being sent into a care home, police say.
Anna Mae Blessing, who is charged with murder, contemplated her son's intentions to put her into care for days, according to court documents.
"You took my life, so I'm taking yours," she reportedly said as she was escorted out of the Arizona home she shared with her son and his girlfriend.
Mrs Blessing told police she had intended to kill herself, too.
The incident happened in the morning of 2 July in the town of Fountain Hills, Maricopa county, police records obtained by local media say.
Mrs Blessing's son, whose name has not been released, wanted her to leave for an assisted living facility because she "had become difficult to live with".
The mother concealed two firearms in her robe pockets before confronting her son in his bedroom, police said in a statement.
During the ensuing argument, she pulled out one revolver, purchased in the 1970s, and fired at her son.
Police found the son dead , with two bullet wounds to his neck and jaw.
Mrs Blessing then pointed the gun at her son's 57-year-old girlfriend, who managed to wrestle it away and throw it into a corner of the room.
She pulled out a second pistol, which she told police her late husband had given to her in the 1970s.
The girlfriend managed to knock this one out of Mrs Blessing's hands, too, before escaping and calling the sheriff's office.
Police found Mrs Blessing in a reclining chair in her bedroom. She later told them she deserved to be "put to sleep" for her actions.
She is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping, and her bail was set at $500,000.

OBALORLA:

After a terrible road trip on Friday, I remained indoor for most part of Saturday. I took breakfast but couldn’t remember what it tasted like. Chidinma dragged me out of bed after noon to brush my teeth and shower. Clad with just my boxers short, I collapsed face-down on the 50″ by 100″ foam she used as bed. It was obvious we weren’t traveling to Obudu cattle ranch again that day.

Suya Arcade
Towards evening, I felt a lot better and ready for the night stroll she had always longed for. the time was 5:14, the destination was Mary Slessor Avenue Bogoberi- home to Suya Arcade, a really popular spot where suya vendors (mostly northerners) jostled to get the attention of every potential customer. “oga come, I go sell am well for you.” Madam, my meat fresh well well.” For a moment, I felt what ladies go through when walking alone in a street filled with unserious boys.

We finally made our way to the third stall. Chidinma chose him.

https://i1.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180428_113446.png?resize=768%2C436
This stainless plate was used in serving us some diced suya as sample.

https://i1.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180428_124533.jpg?resize=768%2C432
Popularly dubbed the white queen of Calabar, Mary Mitchell Slessor is most famous for having stopped the common practice of infanticide of twins in Calabar.

We bought suya, went into a pub just opposite the arcade to have some drinks before buying two bowls of ice cream for the road from a cream store on the other side of the road before retiring back to Eburutu Army cantonment. Sleep came faster than I envisaged and I wasn’t angry she took me that early.

Calabar To Obudu Cattle Ranch
6am on Sunday was like every other day. Save for the aches I was still feeling from Friday’s trip everything was perfect. We had cleaned up and packed our things. Chidinma was also a minimalist so my bag was enough to take the things we’d need for a 2-day road trip to Obudu cattle ranch.

The streets of Calabar were as gentle and clean as ever. Even when cars honk, it was mild, so soothing that you’d wish they never stopped.

On getting to the motor park by 7am, there was no bus going straight to Obudu, so we agreed to join that which was going to Abuja (paying N1,000 each) so we could stop on transit at Abuochicie to join another to Obudu for N500 each.

https://i1.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180428_133002.jpg?resize=768%2C432
Abuochicie: Look closely, this kind of bikes are the only ones used over here

“These journeys were not as easy as I’ve mentally calculated them.” I thought as I stole a fearful look at the digital clock on my phone’s screen. Four hours was what it took to get to Obudu from Calabar. If you think Obudu is the same as Obudu cattle ranch, you aren’t thinking right just like I wasn’t because on getting to Obudu, we were told we’d still need to take a shared cab to Utanga (for N500 each). This journey also took about an hour and half. We paid N250 each to a biker who took us to ‘bottom hill’ the popular name the locals call the main gate of the ranch.

https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180428_133142.jpg?resize=768%2C432
The dusty road which leads to Obudu Town.

Climbing up
At the checkpoint, bikes and their riders clustered as though a ghastly accident just happened. we tore our way through, paying deaf ears to a number of them calling out to inform us they can take us up. “The cable cars nkor?” Chidinma asked a middle-aged man who I’m sure was in charge of the gates. “dem no dey work. Ranch people don strike.” He replied as though he’s just sipped a bitter medicine. His face was unwelcoming. A lady beckoned on us to come into a tiny room which served as the reception. It was where visitors were registered. We paid N200 each as entrance fees. I wondered what the management actually do with the data entered into this log book aside collecting money.

https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/20180501_130043.jpg?resize=768%2C432
Bottom Hill

I was trying to sign in when a short man clad in padded suit walked in gently, tapped me and his carefully arranged teeth shone as our faces met. He introduced himself as John, a Driver guide. I wouldn’t have given him much attention but for his outspokenness.

https://i0.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/20180501_134712.jpg?resize=768%2C432
Since the road which leads up the hill is somewhat dangerous, His job is to drive people up the hills while he tells them stories about the ranch.

I think I had my first real adrenaline rush here. Thousands of uncoordinated thoughts paced in my head. The same way it did when I went alone to explore Owu Fall in Kwara state only that this time, I managed it poorly. My heart stopped pumping blood. I initially thought it was in solidarity with the striking staff of the Ranch. My tongue dried but water wasn’t what I wanted. Chidinma looked back at me at intervals. The look she wore needed an assurance from me that all this wasn’t a dream.

https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/20180501_135057.jpg?resize=768%2C432

As we ascended, the temperature moved steadily towards zero, I the breeze coiled up with the cold tearing through my pores. My bones became so cold. Chidinma grabbed my now trembling knee caps with both of her hands, as though they had threatened to fall off. I barely felt I had joints. Fog rushed recklessly into my mouth. When I tried looking down to see how high we’ve climbed, my eyes caught a view of the mountains, scattered in their numbers, reminding me of the aged market women who sold garri on the busy streets of Bodija market in Ibadan.

At every major turn, my mind skipped. Chidinma would clinch tighter, pressing her nails against my skin. I could have protested but it gave me joy. John tried telling us stuffs about the famous resort but the wind was bent on thwarting his efforts.

We Finally Made It To The Top!
At this point I wished the journey wouldn’t end as my legs still seemed on motion even though both were firm on the ground. Our first stop was a GTB cash point, the only one on the ranch. I mentally calculated how much the bank would be making from daily transactions and what’d happen should the machine be temporarily unable to dispense cash. The screeching of the machine jolted me from my revere. It wasn’t my business anyways, I shrugged as I dragged my money forcefully from the machine’s teeth. I flashed back quickly to how I started saving for this trip on Cowrywise. John kicked his bike to life and he sped through the sloppy road leading to the residential parts of the ranch. The time was many minutes past 5pm.

The Ranch
The ranch itself is a small community of people whose primary occupation was subsistence farming. their proceeds were mostly sold to visitors on the ranch. Those who weren’t farming either sold foods or engage in the business of hospitality which was pretty huge there. The is a primary school which served the whole community, a redeemed church, a police station and also a honey factory.

https://i0.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/gtb.jpg?w=653
Though small, its relevance is immeasurable.

After giving us the price ranges of all accommodation options, we decided we’d be going for the cheapest which costs N12,000/night. John promised to come back the next day to give us a tour of the most important places on the ranch, but he still has a final mission before calling it a day with us. He needed to take us to buy food and shop for a few items for the night.

https://i0.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/house.jpg?w=653
The window you see on the left is that of our room.

We were there in no time. we bought one plate each of FuFu and Eba with Oha and Egusi respectively. John rode us back home like a donkey on drugs. I tipped him N1,000 for his troubles with a promise to give him more should he show up the next day as promised. I could easily tell that he was happy. “I will come by 7:00 sharp tomorrow!” he blurted as he disappeared into the intense fog.

It was so cold that on getting to the bathroom, it took a lot of self convincing before agreeing to pour water on my skin. I couldn’t really tell which it was between the fufu and stress of the trip. All I knew was that sleep overpowered me yet again.

Monday Morning Came, And It Did Fast!
John’s knock jolted us out of bed at exactly 7am. He must have been there many minutes before the knock. “Please give us 15 minutes ooo!” Chidinma blurted as she dashed into the bathroom. I opened the window to be sure it was morning, I saw nothing. Only fog.

We were ready 20 minutes later and with a loosed smile, John dictated our itinerary. I’m sure his smile is a built-in feature. He rode like he smiled, effortlessly, making us disappear into the clouds till we saw nothing behind us.

First point of call
African hut
https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/hut.jpg?w=653
These huts have been specially built (about 20 of them) to give you a feel of a rural setting though with modern interior. Perfect for couples due to its size and look. It costs N28,500 to sleep in any of them per night.

Mountain villa
https://i0.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/hj.jpg?w=653
More expensive than the African hut at N75,000 per night. these villas are awesome for group of friends or a small family who’d like to have a nice timeout. Each one has 3 rooms, kitchen, toilet and a pent house.

Presidential villa

Heavily guarded. A night goes for as much as N250,000

Beachive nature reserve canopy
Then we left the residential space for the jungle. John led the team, moving like he’s got no joints. His small frame found it easy among the dead sticks obstructing the path.

John shot this

On leaving the Beachive nature reserve canopy, John rode us further and even higher into the mountains. He wanted to show us the highest point on the ranch where he said we could see a waterfall and an aerial view of the snakelike road which led to the top of the ranch from the bottom. On getting to the cliff, the weather changed rapidly, as if trying to hide something from us, like a teenager who’s about being caught watching porn. The fog got thicker, we gave up shortly afterwards.

https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/peace.jpg?w=653
The waterfall was supposed to be pouring from the right, but look at how angry the fog is.

John smiled sheepishly as he directed us to take few steps leftward. Chidinma couldn’t hear him probably due to the strong wind (which took away speeches as soon as they were vomited) or carried away by the countless selfies she was taking. Her lips were red, not pink as they normally were. I felt like grabbing her and plant a kiss on them, I wanted to add moisture on them but I felt for John. He’s here with no one.

https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/klj.jpg?w=653
I was glad we rode on this road instead of using the cable cars. I couldn’t wait to ride down. I needed to savour it once more.

“Babe, we need to go now.” I said loudly as I made my way to the parked bike. John followed me briskly like a toddler going with his mother to the market for the first time. Chidinma didn’t bulge, she took even more pictures and we had no choice than to wait till she’s fine.

On getting to our cabin, we quickly stuffed our things into my brown backpack including the bottle of honey we had bought near the honey factory in the ranch.

My mind skipped anytime we rode past any oncoming vehicle or bike due to the narrowness of the road. I tried thinking about how difficult it’d be to find my body should the bike tilt off the road but Chidinma’s grip brought me out of my reverie. She searched my face as though I had hidden her lost usb cord under my eyelid. She wanted to know why I wore a wry smile. I planted a long kiss on her lips as the heavy breeze forced out a tear from her eyes. John was talking but none of us answered. He kept quiet shortly after, leaving the wind and sound from the bike to do the talking.

We Finally climbed down!
https://i2.wp.com/www.nomadicnegro.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/20180403_072349.jpg?resize=768%2C432
John rode out of the ranch adding more speed to the lonely road guided on both sides by mountains and forests. All covered in green. We made a 1800 turn to see the Scary looking cattle head hung at the centre of the gate. I wished we could stay for just another night. I regretted not saving more than I had done on Cowrywise . The bike propelled faster than it had been running, I was absent-minded, refusing to acknowledge the present. I placed my focus on what was ahead and all that had happened before climbing up the ranch. I avoided every temptation to give myself a spoiler of this amazing movie!

Tips On Touring Obudu Cattle Ranch

- Try not to go during a public holiday. Prices are unnecessarily high. The room we paid N12,000 for would have gone for N7,000 on a good day.
- Try as much as you can to come along with your girlfriend/wife/anyone you can hug tightly because it is severely cold up there.
- The best route to take if you are coming into Cross River by road is through Enugu. I advise you fly!
What to bring along
-Sweater
-Socks
-Camera
-Basic toiletries
-Cash (loads of it)

SportsRe: Liverpool Star Mo’ Salah Meets His Lookalike (Photos) by thinkmoney(m): 7:23pm On May 05, 2018
Alamin9582:
World famous footballer, Mohamed Salah, has been taken aback after he met another man who looks just like him.

Mohamed Salah is a man in demand in his native Egypt, so it may come in handy to know he has a very convincing doppleganger who could step in as a body double when it all gets too much.

The Liverpool star has become a national icon after his 43-goal campaign at Anfield, and will lead Egypt into their first World Cup appearance in 28 years this summer with hopes firmly on his shoulders.

And Salah’s success on the pitch appears to have been good news for Ahmed Bahaa, who has gained plenty of media attention for his ridiculous likeness to the diminutive winger as a result.

Daily Mail UK reports that Bahaa has regularly been seen on Egyptian television posing in both the Egyptian national and Liverpool shirts baring Salah’s name.

In videos of him roaming the streets, plenty of people believe they are meeting the man himself, and with good reason.

See more pictures of him in link below

Damage control.

Buhari's unguarded utterances will surely lead him back to duara.

I have said this several times, ..Buhari's aides should stop him from saying things off head, otherwise he would keep embarrassing Nigerians like he always does.
He should stick and read the verbatim his aides prepared for him on the paper. Once he tries to cross his boundary by saying things off head, then another national embarrassment becomes inevitable.
my brother, its saying things off hand not off head. however, its a good point you made there.

Chinese baby born four years after parents' death
A baby has been born in China to a surrogate mother four years after his parents died in a car crash, Chinese media reported.
The couple, who died in 2013, had frozen several embryos hoping to have a child through IVF.
After the accident, their parents fought a protracted legal battle to be allowed to use the embryos.
The boy was born in December to a surrogate from Laos and The Beijing News first reported the case this week.
The newspaper explained how the lack of precedent for a case of this kind had forced the deceased couple's parents through a legal minefield before the surrogacy could proceed.

HealthMore Than Half Your Body Is Not Human by thinkmoney(op): 10:33am On Apr 10, 2018
By James Gallagher
Presenter, The Second Genome, BBC Radio 4
More than half of your body is not human, say scientists.
Human cells make up only 43% of the body's total cell count. The rest are microscopic colonists.
Understanding this hidden half of ourselves - our microbiome - is rapidly transforming understanding of diseases from allergy to Parkinson's.
The field is even asking questions of what it means to be "human" and is leading to new innovative treatments as a result.
"They are essential to your health," says Prof Ruth Ley, the director of the department of microbiome science at the Max Planck Institute, "your body isn't just you".
No matter how well you wash, nearly every nook and cranny of your body is covered in microscopic creatures.
This includes bacteria, viruses, fungi and archaea (organisms originally misclassified as bacteria). The greatest concentration of this microscopic life is in the dark murky depths of our oxygen-deprived bowels.
Prof Rob Knight, from University of California San Diego, told the BBC: "You're more microbe than you are human."
Originally it was thought our cells were outnumbered 10 to one.
"That's been refined much closer to one-to-one, so the current estimate is you're about 43% human if you're counting up all the cells," he says.
But genetically we're even more outgunned.
The human genome - the full set of genetic instructions for a human being - is made up of 20,000 instructions called genes.
But add all the genes in our microbiome together and the figure comes out between two and 20 million microbial genes.
Prof Sarkis Mazmanian, a microbiologist from Caltech, argues: "We don't have just one genome, the genes of our microbiome present essentially a second genome which augment the activity of our own.
"What makes us human is, in my opinion, the combination of our own DNA, plus the DNA of our gut microbes."
It would be naive to think we carry around so much microbial material without it interacting or having any effect on our bodies at all.
Science is rapidly uncovering the role the microbiome plays in digestion, regulating the immune system, protecting against disease and manufacturing vital vitamins.
Prof Knight said: "We're finding ways that these tiny creatures totally transform our health in ways we never imagined until recently."
It is a new way of thinking about the microbial world. To date, our relationship with microbes has largely been one of warfare.
Microbial battleground
Antibiotics and vaccines have been the weapons unleashed against the likes of smallpox, Mycobacterium tuberculosis or MRSA.
That's been a good thing and has saved large numbers of lives.
But some researchers are concerned that our assault on the bad guys has done untold damage to our "good bacteria".
Prof Ley told me: "We have over the past 50 years done a terrific job of eliminating infectious disease.
"But we have seen an enormous and terrifying increase in autoimmune disease and in allergy.
"Where work on the microbiome comes in is seeing how changes in the microbiome, that happened as a result of the success we've had fighting pathogens, have now contributed to a whole new set of diseases that we have to deal with."
The microbiome is also being linked to diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, Parkinson's, whether cancer drugs work and even depression and autism.
Obesity is another example. Family history and lifestyle choices clearly play a role, but what about your gut microbes?
This is where it might get confusing.
A diet of burgers and chocolate will affect both your risk of obesity and the type of microbes that grow in your digestive tract.
So how do you know if it is a bad mix of bacteria metabolising your food in such a way, that contributes to obesity?
Prof Knight has performed experiments on mice that were born in the most sanitised world imaginable.
Their entire existence is completely free of microbes.
He says: "We were able to show that if you take lean and obese humans and take their faeces and transplant the bacteria into mice you can make the mouse thinner or fatter depending on whose microbiome it got."
Topping up obese with lean bacteria also helped the mice lose weight.
"This is pretty amazing right, but the question now is will this be translatable to humans"
This is the big hope for the field, that microbes could be a new form of medicine. It is known as using "bugs as drugs".
Goldmine of information
I met Dr Trevor Lawley at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, where he is trying to grow the whole microbiome from healthy patients and those who are ill.
"In a diseased state there could be bugs missing, for example, the concept is to reintroduce those."
Dr Lawley says there's growing evidence that repairing someone's microbiome "can actually lead to remission" in diseases such as ulcerative colitis, a type of inflammatory bowel disease.
And he added: "I think for a lot of diseases we study it's going to be defined mixtures of bugs, maybe 10 or 15 that are going into a patient."
Microbial medicine is in its early stages, but some researchers think that monitoring our microbiome will soon become a daily event that provides a brown goldmine of information about our health.
Prof Knight said: "It's incredible to think each teaspoon of your stool contains more data in the DNA of those microbes than it would take literally a tonne of DVDs to store.
"At the moment every time you're taking one of those data dumps as it were, you're just flushing that information away.
"Part of our vision is, in the not too distant future, where as soon as you flush it'll do some kind of instant read-out and tells you are you going in a good direction or a bad direction.
"That I think is going to be really transformative."

EducationCovenant University Could Infect Students Because Of Their Choice Of Punishment by thinkmoney(op): 9:41pm On Apr 05, 2018
A private university in Nigeria has been criticised for punishing students by shaving a strip into their hair.
Punch newspaper has tweeted some of the pictures of the students:
Earlier this week tweeters shared videos showing men queuing up in an assembly hall for the punishment and walking out with the strips cut out of their hair:
The Nigerian newspapers have differing accounts as to why the students' hair was shaved at the Christian Covenant University in Ota, Ogun State.
One site, The Pulse , says the punishment was doled out to students who were not carrying bibles.
Another, Naija, says the punishment was for not going to all the religious services during Easter.
But, as Punch reports , they all agree that the University has come under an onslaught of criticism.
Among the disapproval is the accusation that the university is treating the students like children, that the students' right to dignity was not taken seriously and that it was unhygienic to use the same clippers on multiple students.
The university has not yet commented in the Nigerian press.
