an0daGuy: I see your concerns and I empathize with them all.
But let me ask you one question, just only one question and the answer you give me can change my perspective about this sit at home issue
Apart from this ongoing sit at home exercise in the south east what other means can ipob use to push their secessionist agenda towards the federal government and at the same time register their displeasure concerning the illegal kidnapping of MNK from Kenya?
Remember igbos have fewer numbers in the House of Representatives seats
Also keep in mind that all the prior protests were met with bloodshed from the Nigerian government soldiers
Also keep in mind that according to you OUR POLITICIANS CAN NOT BE TRUSTED
I await your answer to my singular question above One should not choose a bad strategy because of a lack of a good strategy. I see one good this people can do. And it is announcing a one week sit at home. But instead of what they have been doing, they should then force every household and every single soul in the south east to get their PVC. After, they should mount roadblocks and be checking everybody coming in and out of the east to see if they have a PVC. Then, they should go into liaison with other tribes and groups with similar concerns to them. Then when elections come, they should also force everybody out of their houses. If this people can get their men into power, and form big political blocks, they can achieve a lot through that A lady flipmac came in my mention and tagged my take silly opinion. I understand her. Many people are just capable of seeing what normal minds would see...but we need more radical and visionary minds. I must point out @flipmac, that we have been in the circle of bad government and a part marginalising another because one part take electioneering activities as a religious duty. It's a myth that the north is significantly more than us in population. The fact is that we here that even recognize better how governance should look like do not stand up and get counted. If I want to guess if you have ever voted all your life, i may be 50% correct that you haven't. Mathematically then, 50% or more of southerners don't vote and yet we will come back later and start wailing and complaining that a section is taking all the posts. We must be radical and find a balance if not everything will crash. I understand that their are some people that don't even vote because of religious convictions, but go out there to the polling boots then cast a blank vote. It will then be certain that we are all responsible and alert to governance and government. There is a suspicion that in the south here, many do not vote because of misplaced priority (they want to sit at home and sell there small provisions), laziness (they see voting day as a day to rest, another holiday), fear (I am sure if people turn up in large numbers, political hoodlums won't have an easy day) and just plain ignorance. So my suggestion really was based on trying to get something good out of a terrible situation. IPOB have become successful as a force (for good or bad), smart governors or leaders of a section can use them to galvanise the people. We in the south have to be awake (or awaken rudely if need be), to our obligations and franchise. We must go and show up at elections, then at the point we either decide to vote or not to vote But by showing up, we will prove that we are responsible people's and not just wailers, and that our decisions are deliberate not accidental. There is a compulsory voting in Australia and they will cast votes in few days. AWAKE SOUTH. AWAKE PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL. OR WE WILL DIE FEOM THIS DEEP AND INDUCED SLEEP WE ARE IN |

Poswahala: Guys I genuinely need some advice Because of the state of my mental health I have decided never to get married or have kids.
I suffer from intense depression and anxiety and other mental health problems. I'm unsure of my own future talk more of a child.
I do love being in relationships but I do that only for companionship and sex.
I don't know if I will regret my decision. The guys I have dated have been cool with my no marriage proposal but I don't think any Nigerian man will not want kids.
I'm thinking of moving to another country, buy a house, take care of my community and neighbors then when I'm old, I will move to a retirement home.
If I change my mind I can adopt a child, am not against adoption as I am with marriage, it depends on if my mental health improves.
The problem I have is that will I be lonely without a child, like I said I'm not into marriage despite being a woman trained in traditional home, it's not that I hate it or anything, it's not just for me. I will be unhappy being married.
But the child thing is bothering me, I always wanted a child, but i don't want my mental health to prevent me from loving and caring for the child.

A Nigeria adage states that when people carry a corpse pass your frontage it looks to you like it's a banana plant stalk. The meaning is that, people don't get concerned or agitated by bad things happening to others until it reach them. The events of lynchings in both Sokoto and Lagos this past few days, on unjust accusations is deeply worrisome and do not bode well for the future. But people will like usual, go on with their lives. People will still not see that something has to change drastically about the way we choose our leaders. When some visionary investors brought GOKADA and OPAY bikes to be carrying people, our politicians frustrated and killed the project because of selfish political and economic gains. The thing is, that project would have sanitised our transport sector and boost security significantly as every rider could be traced. But see what we are left with? Northern miscreants that ride bikes under heavy influence of drugs and commit crimes! Are we still not going to get serious with how we elect our government representatives and hold them accountable? Are we not going to stop electing just based on tribe, religion or affinity? Are we not going to make the sacrifice of getting our PVC and voters card? The gentleman that was murdered in Lagos was a friend of my very close friend. You see how close evil can get when we allow it continue unopposed? |

APC2: I created this new account to hide my identity.
We live in a highbrow area in Ogun state with one Kid of 2 years. My wife is not working, she is attending a university in Ogun state where we lived. My wife always watch African Magic, Zee World or running from one prayer house to another. She does not respect me at all. Living with her for 3 years now is hell on earth.
Yesterday, she told me that she attended a program conducted by a prayer ministry and the the General Overseer, a woman told her to bring a bag of rice as a seed. I told her I don't have money to buy a bag of rice for a ministry I don't know anything about. She got angry and told me that I must give her the money before I go to work. To my greatest surprise, she block the door and told me that I am not going anywhere until I give her the money for the bag of rice that the woman of God need the rice that yesterday. I got angry and tried to push her, she gave me a heavy slap and began to shout and insulting me using English so that every neighbour will hear. I was so ashamed and forced my myself out of the flat, she ran after me, held my clothe and tear it down.
I return back to my flat, carry a cable wire and beat her until she couldn't stand up. I'm an operation manager in my company, I went to work, took excuse and went to police station. I carried two police to arrest the general overseer, when we got there, she started swearing that she did not tell my wife to bring any rice, that it is my wife that volunteer to bring. The police did not arrest her again. I returned to office and notify her parents.
Her parents came in the night and after I explained to them, they insulted their daughter and apologize to me. I told my wife to follow her parents she refused.
So about 12:00 midnight, my wife started again, threatening me that she will deal with me, talking loudly again that I called her parents to come and insult her and she will pay me back in a way that I will regret knowing her.
When I couldn't sleep, I went out of the house at about 2:00AM to look for a near-by hotel to sleep. Immediately I entered the hotel, a young lady standing in front of the hotel followed me to the reception. I was thinking she want to book a room as well. The receptionist told me that the available room is 17, 000. I accepted and paid. I was directed to the room and as I entered, somebody knocked the door. I open the door and it was the young lady that followed me to the reception when I was entering the hotel. Before I knew she entered the room and said, "oga, I will do you well, na just 4,000 you go give me". She started touching me and I told her to stop it. I was so disturb by wife problems and I needed someone to talk with. So I accepted the lady. We spent the night together and had sex twice. This is my first time of having sex with another woman since I married in 2019.
I am always at home with my family when I return from work and I think my wife is taking that for granted. I will be going out from now to meet other women. I am completely tired of the marriage and I am considering marrying another wife that can give me peace and respect. Don't marry another my brother please. Separate with her atm anyways. Really cut off and take charge of your kid. Don't allow her use any emotional blackmail. But please, you are going to do this only so she eventually come around oh. You might even cut if for six months. Let her know there are prices to be paid. If she go ahead and get involved with another man without really trying to repent, show remorse and work out things, then you can choose to divorce her and remarry |

Acidosis: Every time a woman ovulates, she releases at least 1 egg. So, biologically, selling of eggs has no negative impact on a woman. It's only eggs she sold, not her ovaries. Her ovaries' got more than enough to meet her reproductive needs. It's even better to sell it than waste it (as menstruation).
The bigger issues are that she failed to inform you about the procedure and whatever it was you guys were going through didn't matter to her. It was all about her. These are the main threats to your marriage.

Toyota Camry Toyota Highlander Acura MDX Nissan Pathfinder Honda Accord Etc
It's just crazy!!! How can I pay over 3 million naira for a 2003 Corolla? How? I've told him I won't continue in the quest unless he makes another choice.
But why are people so in love with Corolla? I know that the car is strong and reliable, but it's definitely not the only strong and reliable car out there. When we were still in school, whether you scored 70% or 100%, it is "A". So if Toyota Corolla is good at 100%, there are still others that are good at 90%; both are good.
In place of Corolla, we still have Honda Civic, Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Nissan Sentra, Camry, accord etc. They may not be as good as Corolla, but they are definitely not too bad. My opinion Toyota 2010 cost pass Venza and big Daddy. I Just got one |

yemobrown: And is used to connect words of the same part of speech, clauses, or sentences, that are to be taken jointly. "bread and butter"
Home Grammar Punctuation How to use a comma (,)
How to use a comma (,) A comma marks a slight break between different parts of a sentence. Used properly, commas make the meaning of sentences clear by grouping and separating words, phrases, and clauses. Many people are uncertain about the use of commas, though, and often sprinkle them throughout their writing without knowing the basic rules.
Here are the main cases when you need to use a comma:
in lists in direct speech to separate clauses to mark off certain parts of a sentence with 'however' Using commas in lists You need to put a comma between the different items in a list, as in the following sentences:
Saturday morning started with a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and French toast.
The school has a vegetable garden in which the children grow cabbages, onions, potatoes, and carrots.
The final comma in these lists (before the word ‘and’) is known as the ‘serial comma’. Not all writers or publishers use it, but it is used by Oxford Dictionaries – some people refer to it as ‘the Oxford comma’. Using it can make your meaning clearer. Take a look at this sentence:
My favourite sandwiches are chicken, bacon and ham and cheese.
It isn’t entirely clear from this sentence whether the writer is listing three or four of their favourite sandwich fillings: is ‘ham’ one of their favourites and ‘cheese’ another, or is it ‘ham and cheese’ that they like? Adding an Oxford comma makes the meaning clear:
My favourite sandwiches are chicken, bacon, and ham and cheese.
Using commas in direct speech When a writer quotes a speaker’s words exactly as they were spoken, this is known as direct speech. If the piece of direct speech comes after the information about who is speaking, you need to use a comma to introduce the direct speech. The comma comes before the first quotation mark. Note that the final quotation mark follows the full stop at the end of the direct speech:
Steve replied, ‘No problem.’
You also need to use a comma at the end of a piece of direct speech, if the speech comes before the information about who is speaking. In this case, the comma goes inside the quotation mark:
‘I don’t agree,’ I replied.
‘Here we are,' they said.
There are two exceptions to this rule. If a piece of direct speech takes the form of a question or an exclamation, you should end it with a question mark or an exclamation mark, rather than a comma:
‘Stop him!’ she shouted.
‘Did you see that?’ he asked.
Direct speech is often broken up by the information about who is speaking. In these cases, you need a comma to end the first piece of speech (inside the quotation mark) and another comma before the second piece (before the quotation mark):
‘Yes,’ he said, ‘and I always keep my promises.’
‘Thinking back,’ she added, ‘I didn’t expect to win.’ Thank you |

Egalitarian1: Now they have finally told us those behind the killings and insecurity in the southeast. So, the widespread killings and acts of lawlessness in the south-east region were actually designed and perpetuated by enemies of Ndi Igbo because the UK did not recognise the Nigerian government's classification of the IPOB as terrorist organization?
So, the gruesome murder of a military couple in Imo state was just to force the UK to recognize their classification of IPOB as terrorists? Every right thinking Nigerian has finally found out the truth now.
How has the call for an end to marginalization and gruesome slaughtering of innocent farmers by Fulani bandits called herdsmen in southeast become a crime? That has been the major demand of IPOB! Those residing in southeast would have seen how harmlessly IPOB was going about their demand not until politicians devised violent plots to paint IPOB black as have become obvious now.
I will never in this life support violence and lawlessness but I will always support a call for an end to marginalization of Ndi Igbo and killing of farmers in southeast by Fulani bandits whom have refused to adopt modern methods of animal husbandry. When was the last time a farmer was gruesomely murdered in the south east? Liar! We never really had serious Fulani issues in the south east. But IPOB has killed more than any Fulani man would. They have turned into mafia cult and discouraged investors in the south east. |

Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Pope Francis has floated the idea that he wants to take a trip to Kyiv to try to broker a ceasefire. But now he says he would prefer to go to Moscow to try to talk some sense into Vladimir Putin, who he has not outwardly condemned in the now nearly three-month-old war and only did so lightly in a lengthy interview with an Italian newspaper.
“I feel that before going to Kyiv, I must go to Moscow,” he told Corriere Della Sera in an interview that ran Tuesday. But the meeting would not exactly be to condemn Putin, based on what he told the paper. He said that the real “scandal” of Putin’s war is “NATO barking at Russia’s door,” which he said caused the Kremlin to “react badly and unleash the conflict.”
Never mind that the 85-year-old pontiff is unable to walk after tearing a ligament in his knee (for which he says he will soon have surgery), or that Putin won’t even answer his calls. Francis repeated comments he has made in general audiences and in other interviews that the war is nothing more than a giant opportunity for a “trade in arms” and that it is still ongoing because of the constant shuttling of weapons to Ukraine. He has spoken twice by phone to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but mostly to urge him not to fight back. He also went to the Russian embassy to the Holy See days after the invasion began to “register his concerns” about what was happening.
https://www.wavy.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2022/02/719bf5c92d7c4269a9b42d771ec92132.jpg
“I don’t know how to answer - I’m too far a way - the question of whether it is right to supply the Ukrainians,” he told the paper. “The clear thing is that weapons are being tested there. The Russians now know that tanks are of little use and are thinking of other things. This is why wars are waged: to test the weapons we have produced. Few people are fighting this trade, but more should be done.”
Whether the Italian journalists didn’t ask or whether he didn’t answer there was no mention about what would happen if Ukrainians were not fiercely fighting back, whether it would mean a full annexation of the entire country, millions of deaths, or empowering an already insatiably power-hungry Putin.
Francis veered toward conspiracy theory as he blamed the international community for instigating the war.
“You cannot think that a free state can make war on another free state,” he said. “In Ukraine, it seems that it was others who created the conflict. I am pessimistic but we must do everything possible to stop the war.”
The pope then said that in a state visit to Rome by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, he was told “the Russians have a plan, that everything will end on May 9” without giving any further explanation. May 9 is the day Russia celebrates its liberation and the end of World War II.

Lamanii22: Omooor…. Even boys have their own ordeal…. I have never experienced anything rape not even in my neighborhood cause we grew up with strict parents and we turned out good…. If a neighbor sees you with any boy lasan they would quickly go and give your mom info…. What would come next won’t be funny at all….. It’s not easy to forgive someone who accused you wrongfully but find it in your hearts to forgive… That's was a society that looked after each other. Not the society we have formed now that is going about saying "it's not your business. Mind your business ". |
