The suggestion in my last paragraph was borne out of a suspicion that you wanted to argue to support a cause.
The point I was making in that my piece, is that lagos as always been lagos. The central attraction of the country because of points I stated. It has always been big and relatively prosperous.
Put in context, I never "absolutely" indicated that the whole of lagos was the federal capital. If you had asked anybody then were the capital was, the reply you most probably have gotten is lagos. Not lagos island or Marina.
To settle the issue of the generation I belong too. If you are well above forty, then your generation is like a step ahead of mine.

To be clear, it is Lagos Island that was the administrative capital of Nigeria from 1914 to 1991 for 77 years.

Lagos State was NOT the capital

General Yakubu Gowon created 12 states for the indigenes on May 27, 1967! Lagos State was created exclusively for the indigenes in 1967.

Unknown to you and some others, over 90% of the land in Lagos State of today was carved out of the Old Western Region led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN of the Action Group Party which used cocoa and tax revenues, etc, to develop the infrastructure and industrial estates in areas such as Ikeja, Iganmu, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Badagry, Ilupeju, Isolo, Ojo, Amuwo Odofin, etc. Only Lagos
Island was NOT under Awolowo's government.

Other states have Federal roads and buildings so Lagos State is not

Lagos state saw and attracted tremendous developments because of its role as the capital for a long time. The third mainland and Carter bridges that was built to connect lagos island and the mainland was one of the most daring and biggest project Nigeria government has ever undertaken. Arguably, no single project in lagos has ever come close.
It was also because of its position that it was made the main port city. This factor too contributed immensely to its development.
Another factor that placed lagos in a privileged position compared to other states was that all the embassies, liaison offices and most of the headquarters of big firms were situated in lagos.
All this factors sped up development in lagos. Lagos has from the 1900 been the special region of Nigeria. No single person influenced development in lagos in a relatively significant way, except maybe Lord Lugard.
Don't revisit history please. And eschew unproductive sentiments

However, 'sign of the end', isn't 'the end'. It still points though that the end is near. I have answered your questions especially in my last response. But I will answer again one after the other:
1) He preached violence against those he perceived working against his agitation. However, where those people he perceived as working against his agitation correspondingly violent? Where they killing the agitators then?
2)He didn't specifically preach violence against hausas engaging in business. However there are generic name he called people that he perceived has local colonisers working against biafra, such as 'hausa/fulanis', 'Danfodio bands', 'caliphate' etc. This generic terms can be perceived by anybody to mean the north. And we have seen indiscriminate attack against northern business. Attacks against lorries carrying livestock and farm produce.

4) we have recorded attack against the business of northern people. See this guy that was killed is from the north. In his case, we can't say particularly that ESN was responsible, however, the style of murder his similar to that that ESN do employ.
5) I have heard him condemn such acts but I do not know about compensation.
6) self defense is never a crime and Kanu is right that IGBOS are being discriminated. However, his reaction has been indiscriminate and doesn't correspond with whatever crime. Igbos are only being discriminated about. However, herdsmen or military forces weren't targeting IGBOS to kill them. Herdsmen were killing other tribes even more than they were killing IGBOS.
Kanu has no justification for the mayhem he unleashed. And though every easterners believe we are being discriminated against, not all believe in secession to be the solution. There was (and still is) cases of herdsmen killings. It was however more prevalent in the centre if the country, north and southwest than it was in the east.
Kanu violence agitation is reckless and it's like bringing guns to a knive fight. Besides, what do police women in lagos has to do against Biafra agitation in the east?
There still isn't many cases of herdsmen killings in southeast compared to other places, but see has targeted killings have increased.

In the videos I saw, ESN chased herdsmen and killed cows but did not kill the herdsmen. If ESN kills herdsmen, I do not support that one because two wrongs do not make a right. But I support ESN killing cows as warning to the herdsmen that have been killing humans and have been destroying farms.

This incident did not happen on a Monday for fools to claim ESN did it because of sit at home.

Vandalism increased 100% during EndSARS protest. People defended the protesters and said the vandalism was by hoodlums, not by the protesters. People claimed that hoodlums used the protest as an opportunity to operate. But when it comes to the killings in the East, the same people sentimentally remove that logic and claim that all the killings are by IPOB and ESN.

On the occasions that unknown gunmen were gunned down and proven not to be ESN, the sentimentalists kept quiet. If not that a report later came out to explain that cultists were responsible for the killing of people at a funeral in Anambra, sentimentalists would have sworn that ESN did it. When some boys killed people and used human head to play football in the same Anambra, sentimentalists accused ESN. But it was later revealed that the killing was because of business disagree.

Using sentiment to suppress critical thinking cannot solve the problem.
