A Gang Of Armed Robbers Met Their End When They Went To Rob In An Estate In Lekki, Not Knowing That A Senior Police Officer Was In The Vicinity.

The Men Were Carrying Out Their Operation In The Area While A Senior Police Officer Was Visiting The Estate.

The Officiating Catholic Priest In Geneva, Switzerland, Two Years Later, During The Baptism Of Our First Son, Was Equally Perplexed When A Muslim Abba Kyari And A Muslim Muni Attah-Sonibare Were The Godfather And Godmother Respectively! Abba Was A Pan-Nigerian, Global Citizen, Who Recognized No Boundaries Between Peoples, Be They Racial, Ethnic, Religious, Class Or Political. He Made Friends With Everyone.

Abba Was A Man Of Unimpeachable Integrity. Absolutely Incorruptible! I Remember After He Got Married To His Wonderful Wife, Kulu, He Told Me How He Showed Her His First Paycheck So She Would Know That He Was Not Wealthy And Would Not Steal!
It Broke My Heart To See All The False Allegations Against Him On Issues Of Corruption. He Showed Me The Safe In His Office Where He Put Any Unsolicited Gift .

I Remember Asking Him About The Rumours Making The Rounds That He Was Making Money From The Fine Imposed On MTN. He Immediately Showed Me The Memorandum Setting Up The Committee To Deal With The Issue And He Was Not Even A Member. He Also Showed Me How He Had Been Able To Block Attempts By Many Influential And Powerful Persons To Make A Lot Of Money At The Expense Of The Country. He Knew That Fighting Corruption With Such Single Mindedness And Fearlessness Would See Him At The Receiving End Of The Venom Of Very Powerful Forces But Was Undeterred And Preferred To Ignore All The Defamation Against Him.

Abba Was Loyal To A Fault. He Decided He Was Going To Protect His Boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, At All Costs And Would Take Any Number Of Bullets For Him. And He Did!
Since He Became Chief Of Staff To The President, Abba Never Rested. He Worked Day And Night, Seven Days A Week. He Was A Hard Taskmaster Who Did Not Suffer Fools Gladly. A Very Demanding Boss. He Gave A Lot Of Himself And Expected His Subordinates And Colleagues To Do The Same.
He Was Very Intelligent, Very Well-Read And Had A Wide And Varied Professional Experience. He Held Strong Opinions And Did Not Yield Position Easily. But Once He Believed In Someone Or A Cause, He Would Fight With Everything He Had.

Abba Believed Completely In The Nigerian Project And Believed Completely In President Muhammadu Buhari. During The Last Five Years He Gave Every Second Of His Life For The Success Of Both. His Health Suffered As A Result But It Was A Sacrifice And Investment He Was Happy To Make. Nigerians Will Look Back In Years To Come And See That He Was Truly The Best Man.

First I Requested The Forumite To Send Me The Picture He Was Referring To Which He Did.

Next, I Went To The @HUPcct Twitter Handle And Confirmed That Indeed That Picture Was There But Contrary To The Claim By The Forumite That It Was Used For Anambra State, The Picture Was Put As One Of The Beneficiaries From Aboh Mbaise In Imo State.



It Is Worthy Of Mention Here That The Same Picture Of The Same Woman Has Been Used By Certain Blog Sites Alleging That The Beneficiary (The Same Woman) Said That After Their Pictures Were Taken With The N20,000, It Was Taken From Them And They Were Given N2,000 Instead.

Armed With Those Information And Screenshots, I Escalated The Matter And Forwarded All The Materials Gathered To The HUPcct Through Mr Henry Ayade An Official Of The Program. In Fact He Handles Their Official Twitter Handle And Uploaded The Said Picture(S) Himself.

I Had Earlier Explained To The Forumite That The Twitter Handle Only Uploads Information Sent By The State Coordinators Of The Program.

Mr Ayade Promptly Got Back To Me After Confronting The Imo State Coordinator Of The Program, Mr Joseph Odoemena With The Sensational And Serious Allegation(S).
He Said The Coordinator Affirmed Without Prevarication That The Picture Was Taken On Saturday At Aboh Mbaise, Imo State And That He Personally Forwarded It To The Headquarters.

He Further Said He Would Send Me The Coordinator’s Number Which He Did. I Called The Coordinator And Presented The Allegations.
He Told Me Unequivocally That There Was No Mistake. That The Picture In Question Was Taken On Saturday At Aboh Mbaise, That The Woman In The Picture Was From Aboh Mbaise And Couldn’t Have Been Dead As She Was One Of Those Who Received Money On Saturday.

I Also Asked Him About The Allegations By Some Blogs (Although Not Credible Sites) That The Same Woman Said The N20,000 Was Taken Away From Them After Snapping Pictures With It And They Were Given N2,000 Instead. He Said That Was A Wicked Lie.



The Imo State Coordinator Then Offered To Go To Aboh Mbaise To Trace The Woman In The Picture And If And When He Finds Her, He Will Take Pictures And Even Interview Her On Video. I Agreed.

He Went To Aboh Mbaise And Indeed Saw The Same Woman In The Picture And Actually Did A Video Which He Has Sent To Me. There Is Also An Interview With The Woman’s Son.

It Has Been Reported That A 38 Year Old Lady Who Delivered A Baby At Alimosho General Hospital 3 Weeks Ago, Died Of Coronavirus, It Was Said That After Her Delivery, 5 Days After Her Delivery, She Developed Womb Infection And Was Transferred To LASUTH Ikeja, Where She Tested Positive To The Covid – 19 Coronavirus And Died.

According To A Twitter User, Who Posted The Story, Via His Twitter Handle, He Insinuated That Over 2,000 People Have Been Exposed In Alimosho Alone. He Went Further To Say That, It Was Suspected That She Could Have Been Exposed Of The Virus, Hence A Test That Was Conducted On Her, The Moment She Was Brought To LASUTH And The Test Came Out Positive.

The Part Of The Emergency Room In LASUTH Where She Was, Would Be Fumigated And Shut Down For 48 Hours.

The Twitter User, Whose Twitter Handle Is @DrOlufunmilayo Said,

3weeks ago, a 38year old lady delivered a baby at Alimosho General Hospital. She developed womb infection 5days ago and was transferred to LASUTH ikeja 3days ago. She tested positive for Coronavirus.

That patient died today.

Over 2,000people have been exposed in Alimosho alone.

There was suspicion of Coronavirus when the patient was moved to LASUTH- so the hospital took safe precautions and tested her quickly.

She died today sadly from the infection.

The part of the emergency room in LASUTH where she was, would be fumigated and shut down for 48 hours.

Doctors and nurses who came in contact with her are to self-isolate for a week and be tested if they become unwell or develop worrying symptoms.

But the big worry here is that in the last 14days, this woman has been to two major Lagos hospitals- one in Ikeja and one in Alimosho.

From what I understand, more than 2,000 people in Alimosho are now being traced as possible exposure to the virus through this event.

So we really have a long way to go,
And Lagos has a lot of work to do.

Please kindly stay at home,
And avoid all unnecessary movements outside.

Nothing was said about travel history.
And nothing was said about contact with anyone who returned from abroad.

So I cannot comment on that.

In the absence of that though,
That will suggest we now have community transmission and that further means, we all have to stay alert.

I also heard possibilities of how she may have been infected by people who attended the naming ceremony after the baby was born in Alimosho.

Nobody knows these things for sure.

However we know for sure that a whole lot of people were exposed and everyone needs to be careful.

And by the way, Alimosho is the largest local government in Lagos State- so a potential outbreak in Alimosho will be disastrous.
