agabaI23:
Go ahead and mount pressure no one is stopping you. We also mount pressure on Buhari to give explain why he has 150 cows 4 years ago and the same today. It is easy to do math from the comfort of your bedroom and assume something. Governance requires intelligent decision. I am sure you will prefer a decision like forcing people to sell a tin of milk bought for N6 at the cost of N4 naira as it was in 1984. That was when people's businesses were closed not now.
Apart from the certificate saga, I had already made up my mind on him. Go check my posts on his supposed economic miracle in the 80's

He has nothing to show for 20 months of military rule which could be equal to 4 years of civilian rule considering that he has no set backs from house or senate approvals.
Whatever he wanted done was done via an instant decree yet

In March 1984, signed the the agreement that initiated the refining of Nigeria crude abroad for importation
He built no refinery as you guys want us to believe
He assumed office when the naira was 79k to $1
When he left office, it was 89k to a dollar
The said he reduced inflation from 23% to 5% how? By forcing people to sell for instance a tin of milk they bought at N6 for N4.

Under him as the commissioner of petroleum, $2.8B was not accounted for
Under him as the PTF chairman, N25B was mismanaged and he had no clue. His relative he placed in charge died when the PTF probe committe was constituted and the only exoneration OBJ could give was that he did not benefit. I know you are an honest man, tell if that was good enough? What is actually your grouse with GEJ? Tell me why you will vote for GMB if not for sentiment and I will tell why I have pitched my tent with him since 2011.

He does not know, not a card carrying member of any party. I do not work any contract for anyone. I am talking based on personal conviction. forget the oluwole certificate

But if I may ask, why was it easier for Buhari to go for an Affidavit while he could have gotten a certified true copy? Which one is easier? Why has it been difficult for him?forgot to add that over 70 000 graduates were without jobs in his time. He didn't create job for them after 20 months and he wants to create jobs for millions of youths. It was like the whole country was without jobs because his physical fiscal policies closed businesses. How many Unis do we have in the 80s? How many grads? 20 months in a military regime can equate to over 3 years in democracy because there was no house of assembly or senate to hold look through your policies or approve your budget before implementation. Tell me something better
are you serious?

How do we Tell the parents of the missing chibok girls to vote for GEJ?
Or the youths involved in immigration job scam?
Or how do we expect thousands of families that have lost a member during doctor's strike to vote GEJ?
Or how can we expect steady electricity supply, when power sector donated 500million to a president's selfish ambition, and we all know that same sector suffers from inefficiencies due to lack of funds?
Or how do you tell thousands of youths; who paid through their noses, to be recruited into federal task force, only to be told in jan 2015, to go for empowerment programs such as as 'fufu' making, to vote mr cluelessness again?
Or would you expect the military, whom until now are widely feared, but being ridiculed by a civilian terrorist group, to vote for GEJ?
Or when the whole world is celebrating an approximation of 50 percent slash in oil price, our 'magnanimous' government gave us a mere 10 percent slash and you say we should vote for him?
A president that started a SURE-P that we are all yet to benefit from (except,of course, his campaign)

Agabal if I go on and on, I will exhaust the whole nairaland, we are not saying that buhari does not have his bad sides, but compared to GEJ, buhari is a saint.

Let me stop there now.

Elle mi,
How u dey sweetie? wink

You have a legitimate question. Lets ponder on names and their variables.

Moahamed
Mohammad
Mohammed
Momodu
Modu
Momoh
Mo

Abubakar
Abu
Bakare
Bakri
Babu

Ibrahim
Ibraheem
Abraham
Ibro
Buramo

Sara
Sarah
Saratu

In Africa, all the variables of Mohammed retain meaning and value, and are interchangeable regardless of spelling or rendering.
In America it is different! Sarah, Sara are considered diffrrent in meaning and values. If someone's name is written Mary, you must not call or write it as Mari, Marie, Maria, Mariam or Maryam. ...they feel insulted. The American culture is thoroughly individualistic and discriminating.

This analyst was trained in Americs, licensed there, practices and live in America. He sees Mohammed and Mohammadu as distinguishably different in spelling but recklessly fails to attach cultural value to them and thus concludes that these names cannot belong to the one and same person. Thats nothing short of ignorance!
please give me a reason

Why I have not been following you!
These guys are nothing short of fools. Instead of we should come togeda and mount pressure on our sitting president (GEJ) to declare his assets in order to ascertain his (recently) questionable (corrupt)character, we are here playing PDP fiddle and being distracted from what is of utmost importance by running after a mere presidential candidate. PMS is 87 instead of like 47 (or so) and we are here jabbering about certificate? Some here don't have jobs or are having a crash in their businesses and they will still come here to say GEJ till 2019, or GMB where is your cert? Na poverty be those one's destiny.but as for me and my house hold, GMB till 2019 (for now).

typical Nigerian ranting, the advertisement cost for front page is 15-20m (whether he was patronized by govt or not, its the truth) and that money could be used to better some facilities in ekiti, and it is also true that fayose has just made it obvious that PDP are haters, please stop being sentimental, no matter how much I vex for you, I can never wish you death (even as I probably have not met you before in my life),its too much abeg

PoliticsLetter To Goodluck Jonathan by timawoku(op): 9:42pm On Jan 19, 2015
Open letter : Dear President Goodluck Jonathan you are a fraud and imposter

My Dear President: You are a fraud and an impostor. You are a public servant of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who is masquerading as an Emperor who considers Nigeria to be his private fiefdom, which he can do with as he pleases.

However, you, like every other person living in Nigeria, are required to respect and observe the laws of the country, but you have built your tyrannical empire on a fallacy of impunity. The idea that any public servant will not be held to account for their actions and can therefore act with impunity is frankly risible and has no basis in the reality of today.

As I write, your Attorney-General and Oil Minister are the focus of multi-jurisdictional criminal investigations into corruption at the heart of your presidency. One such investigation is that into the acquisition of the oil prospecting licence, OPL 245 by the international oil companies Shell and Eni. In the United Kingdom that investigation goes by the name “Operation Zaphod”. In Italy criminal proceedings were registered in November 2013 and are pending against some Eni executives and others who were involved in what the prosecution has described as a conspiracy to bribe Nigerian public officials. In the US, the FBI are working extensively to track any OPL 245 assets and monies. For example $10 million dollars of OPL 245 funds have been successfully tracked to the former Attorney-General Bayo Ojo’s account in the US. Ojo not only returned the licence to Malabu in 2006 but is also known to have been involved in the subsequent efforts to transfer the licence to Eni and Shell.

As your Attorney-General, Finance Minister and EFCC Chairman can attest, I was a party to the filing of the complaint in Nigeria, Italy, UK and US. I am familiar with the case and, I can assure you that the I can assure you that we will seek for the prosecution of any such person on the grounds that they are accessories to the theft. I can also assure you that in the same way that ECP is now being investigated for its role in Ibori’s money laundering, the private equity firms Actis and Investec will also have to account for their investment in Seven Energy. Nigerians may have focussed themselves on the missing $20 billion, but we have now moved beyond that onto other matters including the oil mining licences that were granted to Seven Energy and Atlantic Energy. In this regard in addition to the private equity firms referred to earlier, Philip Ihenacho, Scott Aitken and others will have to account for their actions. In the case of Scott Aitken he will also have to account for other actions he took when he was at Weatherford.

In the same way that we have instigated investigations into OPL 245 and ECP we will continue to work to ensure that those responsible for looting public assets will be brought to book with or without the assistance of any Nigerian government. The biggest impediment to development is corruption and your record in fighting corruption is so abysmal as to suggest that your policy is to institutionalize the tyranny of impunity on which corruption thrives. This is clear evidence that you are not the one to move our nation forward and God willing you will be overthrown at the polls. I can assure you that any efforts to deny the will of the people in the coming elections will be stoutly resisted. Your presidency has cast a dark cloud over our beloved country and you and all those that have played a role in bringing us to this sorry state will surely be held to account.

Yours sincerely

Nairaland GeneralWhat Febuary 14 Elections Really Stand For by timawoku(op): 9:30pm On Jan 19, 2015
February 14, 2015 Election is not an an Election Simply
Between GEJ and GMB,

But Rather it is an Election that is
Between GEJ Vs all those Who Either Jonathan Himself Or His Ministers Or their Agents Has Removed them From their Offices Simply Because they Refused to Connived With them to Steal Government Money From the Public Treasury,

It is also an Election Between GEJ Vs all the Millions of
Unemployed Graduates and Youths,

Is also an Election Between GEJ Vs all those Innocent
Graduates that Were Murdered During the Last Immigration Exam,

Is also an Election Between GEJ and all the Relatives of the Kidnapped Chibok Girls,

Is also an Election Between GEJ and all the Victims of Nyanya, Kano and other Bomb Blasts,

Is also an Election Between GEJ Vs all the Failed Small Businesses that Has Been Short Down Due to Shortage of Power Supply,

Is also an Election
Between GEJ and all those Who Lost their Loved Ones During Health Workers Strike,

Is also an Election Between GEJ and all those University
Undergraduates Who Has Spent More than their Stipulated Years in School Due to Strikes and Hike in Fees.

Finally is an Election Between GEJ and the General Masses Who are Suffering From the Clueless Decisions of this Government.

In Fact, the List Is Endless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for me, and the Entire Members of My Family, Including all the People I Have Influence Over them, are 100% Supporting and Voting for BUHARI, Because I Can't Support a President Who Fraudulently Extort Money From Young Graduates all in the Name of Giving them Jobs Only to End Up Killing Lots of them.

Majority of the people who comment about Borno,Adamawa and Maiduguri have never been there before. Most of them do not know what the terrain looks like but are always so quick to condemn actions and inactions of the president and the military. I'm quite sure GEJ would have loved to visit these places earlier than this but when He keeps hearing that soldiers who are trained to kill, are busy losing positions and entire barracks and armoury to insurgents,it practically makes no sense jetting out there. All these keyboard warriors and soldiers who can't even defeat their mates in combat, would jump on nairaland and start spewing all manner of rubbish. Have you guys for once thought about the kind of tormoil the country would have been involved in,if GEJ had visited one of these places and was assassinated? Do you guys think if that had happened, you'd be having the luxury of seating comfortably at home to type whatever you like? The generation that will destroy this country,is this present generation and the reason is because majority of them lack wisdom and intellect. Visiting the IDP's camp was so much off a risk for him cos one of the sons of the devil, could have struck there and that would be it. Yet,He took that risk.

Jonathan is not a perfect man;no leader can ever claim to be perfect but in all sincerity,I think He hasn't done so bad to be this maligned. Most people are quicck to forget that GEJ is a civilian president, and cannot afford to take decisions and actions, the way a military president will.
what are you saying?

What makes his going now better than if he had gone then, is the place peaceful now? Or he can't be killed now? Or what exactly are you saying?

Nairaland GeneralNairalanders; Who Is Wrong? by timawoku(op): 3:16pm On Jan 15, 2015
1) A man, on getting to a bar, was told a bottle of star was N210, he bought one, brought out his ruler and drank 40 cl, (remained 20cl) paid 150and requested for his 10 naira change

2) A lady took her cat to a show and she was thrown out because there was a sign that stated 'no pets', she sued the organizers for the title of the model show was 'catwalk only'

3) A man went to a buffet that stated ' eat all you want', and men did he take a bite out of everything he saw edible? He is being sued in court.

4) A man is suing an hospital for giving him wrong dosage, he was told to take his drugs a day and 'skip' the next day, and he had to be rushed to hospital later on for 'exhaustion'.

5) A man is dragging '99p' shop to the court, for he really wanted to buy the whole shop for 99p, but he was not allowed to

Which of these people are wrong? Oya lawyers and nairalanders, unto you!

You can't be 'expelled' after graduating, although your university can 'call back' your certificate if they can prove to a logical conclusion, that you did not 'merit' the certificate (I.e. You cheated at the university, etc), either way, your story is too short and inconclusive. My verdict?
