The running mate to the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Tuesday, said the poor state of the nation’s economy has plunged many Nigerians into poverty. He added that there must be a change of government at the federal level to liberate Nigerians from poverty. The former Attorney General of Lagos State spoke at a town hall meeting with artisans, tradesmen and farmers, organised by the Lagos State Government in Ikeja. He said only those who love poverty and would want to remain perpetually in hunger that would vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. Osinbajo said, “No one is ignorant of all that is happening in this country. No one likes hunger and poverty, but people are hungry. In 2015, only those who love to continue to be hungry that would prefer that the government in power at the centre remains there. “By God’s grace, we will remove them from the seat of power. The people there presently cannot do anything because they don’t know what to do. They lack the capacity and capability to govern the country.” In the same vein, the APC governorship candidate in Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, said APC, from the period of Bola Tinubu to Governor Babatunde Fashola, had continuously provided good governance to the people of the state, adding that if voted into power, his government would not deviate from the principle. Ambode said, “Our promise to you as a party is to provide good governance and able leadership. We want to take good care of your businesses so that you will have more to take care of yourself, your children and your home. There must be change of government at the Federal level. APC must take over in Abuja.” Fashola noted that if Nigerians observed the situation of the country critically, they would find that the country was not better off than it was in 2011. Fashola, who enjoined Nigerians to vote for APC at both the governorship and presidential elections, said, “The time to make a very important decision is here. Your request for continuity in Lagos is what I support. But for that project to continue, it would require you to vote for our party in 2015 election. “Also, Muhammed Buhari and Osinbajo are our candidates for the presidential election, if you vote them into power in 2015, you will have successfully rescued this country from destruction.” Copyright PUNCH. CHM11:Thanks a lot CHM11 You know I never meant to be bias, neither did I intend to pick a side, just like you am also yet to decide...but hear me out... All the crucifix of GMB has been answered logically even if not convincing enough, example is his religious bigotry statement and how he meant no harm, his passion to wanting to tackle boko haram (whether true or false, at least he has made attempt to deceive us) unlike we opening a 'case' thread, asking why there should be donation of 22billion naira for a person's campaign while millions are dying of poverty, if he really held interest of the people at heart then why not donate this money to unemployed or poverty stricken people? And this same people who have gained nothing under this administration and are suffering are the ones shouting support without adequate debate? I am so sorry if it sounds like am supporting GMB again |
The way most GEJ supporters talk all these 'GEJ till 2019' without recourse to intelligent debate really baffles me about the type of graduates our tertiary institution is producing. If you where opportune to be on UK forums during their election, you will marvel at their level of debates which includes situation report of the economy in contrast to how it was before a certain leader took possession of leadership, and also following in the ideology of the candidates, hence, gaining their support (example in 2009, david cameron debated that the immigration laws needed to be tightened, gordon brown believed otherwise, lot of britons had to go for cameron's ideology after much debate). Here in Nigeria, you only hear of ethnic bigotry rantings, most of these people that come on nairaland to say unintelligent stuff like 'GEJ till infinty' are at home, jobless, and feeling insecure.let's put sentiments aside and make intelligent debates. Why should we really vote for GEJ and why not? Why should we vote for Buhari and why not? |
See as the guy dey look like 'omo mehn, I done hammer!' |
tman14:abi na? The way they talk all these 'GEJ till 2019' without recourse to intelligent debate really baffles me about the type of graduates our tertiary institution is producing. temitemi1:we all know about your 'illogical' and rather mumucious rantings, if it is GEJ till 2019 temitemi1 then show workings, let us know if you are intelligent (even if na small) about it, am tired of blinded fools coming on forums (tanx to mtn bonanzas) and utter such lame and stupidities like 'gej till buhari somersaults', unless you are trying to be sarcastic because we the neutral analysts are begining to love buhari because his followers make intelligent reports/analysis (like the op) instead of rantings of educationally bereft fools. If GEJ no enter in2015, follow him to otuoke, nobody cares! |
LouisVanGaal:I give up! I hate following people but I just had to follow you sharpestly.., you make alota sense... |
Bro take a chill pill, see, life is easy and it aint easy, it just depends on the pill you take... Here is my humble advice. Inform your school and leave them for now Dust your self up, and your certificate too. Go for professional exams (ICAN, etc) Get the best news for masters and start working on that fast. Get the best news about studying abroad either pgd or masters and work towards it Try to be happy, believe me its just a phase in ur life, don't let it ruin your health. Most importantly, stay blessed... |

OriEyeLe:bros it has been chipped and you don't even need CDs, you only make use of memory card or external hard drive. You can have as many games as you wish depending on the size of your memory card (I once used an external hard drive with about 200 games on it). Am giving you an 8g memory card dat has 10 games in it. A starter card, and a ps2 memory card, all this costed me a whooping 7k. Dats y I can't sell it 10k. |
Have got 1 that I want to dish out (flat ps 2), comes with 2 pads and I have got 10 games on it (memory card). PES, God of war, godhand, batman begins, god father, etc. Its going for 18k (last price). Am in lagos but come to ibadan every weekend. Reply if interested. |
oshe11:look around u bro! New, old, sweet, dirty partners, etc. Most guys and girls are liars. But they might end up a loving partner if we don't interfere in their past and start new lives... |
Doortun:its really all about 'truth hurts'. Some peops can never handle the truth.(Like me) |
DavidHume:the op might not fully comprehend what he has just done! Mtn wan use hypertension kill subscribers since Imagine were men dey expect better alert and all you keep seeing is 'congratulations, dettol soap is now N100', people have been fainting since This is the best news ever! |
mirexxx:thanks, real life story though, I might have ended up marrying her (who knows? And live happily |
I was with a group of friends recently and we were catching up with weekend grove, we extended our discussion to courting and marriage. We concluded that there is a question that a man/woman should not ask his/her partner. Here it goes Have you ever cheated on me before? I had this babe I was madly in love with (7 yrs ago) and I eventually left her to further my studies abroad. I called her every often and eventually sold the idea of she studying in germany to her, I saved and she was able to go on with her studies in germany, I got a schengen visa and went to meet her (after 2 yrs of not seeing physically) I enjoyed my 2 day stay and on my way to the train station, I asked her the question 'have you cheated on me since we last met?', she tried to dodge this question and I reassured her, telling her I wouldn't blame her, that I just wanted us to start afresh well again, and that I would also confess my sins to her. That was a big lie. She told me she cheated on me with 2 guys, and yes, they had sex. I wept. Relationship stopped, she begged me for months, was just never gonna be the same. I told my wise councils, and they all said the same thing that 'You should have never asked that question'. Same happened to a lot of my friends. So gals/guys,if you really want to keep your relationship/marriage, don't ever ask this question. Do you know any other question one should not ask his/partner? Feel free to add yours, who knows you might be helping some one out there! |
Cool |
ireneony:ireneony (or whatever your bigot name is) you have lost all the respect I had for you (for the intelligent posts you had made on other threads), never knew you had such stupid utterances (which guarantees you are immature and also unfit to be a model to anybody except to bigots like urself), bye fool. |
The person he is interviewing done chop garlic... |
Nctrice:of course! Look around you... |
