Politics / Re: EU Looks To Nigeria For Gas To Replace Russian Supplies by Timetravel88: 7:25am On Jul 23, 2022
DOTian:
Most of Nigerias Gas deposits are around Imo, Abia Anambra and now Enugu. Is God not wonderful? Buhari is strategizing to use South Easternngas to buy over the west at thee expense of the same East! It won't fly.. Gas from Igbo land will NEVER be used to save Nigeria.
The EU delegation should go and discuss with real Igbo leaders and not with the federal Nigeria appointed proxies.

The utterly corrupt Nigerian government has misused trillions of dollars worth of Oil incomes for over half a century now. Oil is running out as the main demand in the international market and these guys want to pivot to gas to continue the maximum looting from where they stopped.
We will not agree..

Gas in Nigeria will flow freely when it's being used to improve the living standards of the real owners and not when it's being used to inflate the pockets of the fulani oligarchs and their agbadorian cousins..
They have already passed all sorts of Evil and dubious legislations to loot these resources. So folks must agitate to no end until the right thing is done..

God bless you for speaking my mind

you are right , when you are doing it just close your eyes and be ready for anything . Just do it for the sake of the kids ...

But this is wrong, the allusion that we must compromise for the benefit of our kids should be threaded with caution. Old age is very unforgiving and we must also strive to prepare for it. Imagine a man who sacrifices everything for his children and is left in penury at old age with a mental breakdown.
We must learn to balance the two, as we raise our kids let's also remember to guard jealously our retirement plans. It is no guarantee that your children will be wholly there for you when you get old.

Only wise men think like this... Accept the wife and the child And move on. Wait for any Bastard to come and Claim the child

Lies, this is chronic self deceit. How does such a man sleep at night knowing another man sowed a seed in his wife's vagina behind his back. They called him a fool and he will be a bigger fool accepting that child.
Each time you look at the child you are reminded of your wife's legs hanging in the air as another man pummels away without protection.
One day the child will still return to their biological father. Nature will always come knocking

Oga stop typing thrash, it's not about Anambra anything, it's about trying to make a state ungovernable for the governor cause the governor challenged them.

Earlier this year and last year, Imo state was their hot bed of attacks cause uzodimma didn't bend to their rules, ipob wanted to turn imo state to borno state until Hope invited the military to imo to deal with them, now imo state is now becoming a bit calm.

They wanted to try the same shit with umahi but umahi formed ebubeagu to deal with them.

Obiano gave them the ground in Anambra, he was not proactive like hope and umahi.

Soludo knows the right thing to deal but he is still doesn't want to deal it yet. When he is serious with ipob, he will deal with them.

Are you saying the tough stance by the supreme court governor in Imo state saved the day? Imo state is still battling insecurity as you type.

I outstandingly understand your views about IPOB agitations, peoples perceptions about these cause is been adultrated by the government of the day. It goes deep than the mere man can see.

This is what many aren't seeing. The government is behind the killings going on in Igbo land, they are desperate to label IPOB a terrorist group and if that doesn't hold they'll try to paint the group as murderous so that Igbos will condemn them. This is why their focus is in Anambra, the state with the most influential Igbos both home and Abroad. Their plan is to make Anambra reject the group and in so doing other states follow.
However, this plan will fail because the average Igbo man is tired of the contraption called Nigeria.

Politics / Re: NMDPRA: Nigeria’s Gas Reserves Have Reached 209.5 TC by Timetravel88: 6:23pm On Mar 05, 2022
God does have a mocking sense of humor. After the Biafran war, the Eastern Nigeria was balkanized and gerrymandered to the chagrin of the Igbo people. Swats of lands were carved to the North (Kogi and Benue), West (Edo) and South in a bid to reduce the size of the Igbo territory, strangulate her political influence and covet her mineral resources. All this was strategic to keep Ndi Igbo in perennial servitude and subjugation.
Even her coastal Kiths and kins were not left out in the alliance to keep Ndi Igbo on her knees as the disparaging remarks like "Our Oyel, Abandoned Property, We are South South, We are Niger Delta, We are not Igbos" filled the air.
Identity crisis amongst her children became the order of the day as grown men and women with traditional Igbo names denied their ancestry, while historical Igbo towns renounced their affinity by deviously corrupting the names to lesser Igbo lexicon. For them, they had to wash themselves clean of their Igbonness to be more Nigerian and acceptable.
God watched all these unfold with a sardonic smile and for those who remained truly Igbo a silver lining ran across the dark skies for them.
Today there's a global outcry and campaign for clean fossil fuel or energy, IOCs are restructuring their platforms to fit the prevailing realities, thus shifting their search lenses to energy sources that meets the standards. That search didn't take long to discover the vast warehouse of natural gas deposit in the Igbo heartland, ironically the region robbed of everything or so they thought, scorned and have its youths fleeing in mass for the greens on the other side.
Imo and Anambra state today holds over 80% of the gas deposit in Nigeria. Now we all know why both states are at the epicenter of the IPOB travails and why the government has opened a war front in their domain to keep the resistance from gaining momentum.

Why are you foolish, I too know Igbos always look at the short term run disadvantage of a term and ignored the long term advantages. Anyway, IPOB have spoken, there is nothing you can do about it. Just like when they came up with the sit at home thing, your likes rushed to nairaland to spew trash that it won't work, but today, they have change mouth to IPOB is destroying south east, so will this ban of Fulani cow be. But at the long run, the south east shall benefit from this. We shall no more be dependent on meat from any region in Nigeria but ours.

That illiterate spare parts seller is smarter than your entire generation.

In oil exploration, it's not about the number of oil wells but the quantity that can be drilled out of one. For instance, one oil well in Delta state can produce millions of barrels, an equivalent to 15 oil wells in Bayelsa.
