Crime / Re: Police Apprehend Man Who Killed Son, Burnt His Body In Akwa Ibom by Timetravel88: 11:27pm On Aug 22, 2023
Onyiiobi7735:
shocked It's really unfortunate , that a man had to murder his own son.But who knows what he must have been experiencing in the hands of the son, the intensity that pushed him to take that unspeakable step. The boy must have really constituted such an unbearable nuisance to the father, and he continued stomaching all till he reached the breaking point.
Oftentimes the things that are portrayed in Nollywood films play out in real life.
I once watched a Nollywood film titled Troubled where a widow had three children, two sons and a daughter.
The sons were causing the mother so much heartache and grief by their hooligan actions and the daughter too by her prostitution and fights with her brothers.
This continued relentlessly till the mother couldn't take it anymore.
One day while they were fighting and destroying things as usual, the woman quietly went inside, picked her late husband's gun and killed all three of the children.
She handed herself to the police later.
This unfortunate event reminded me of that movie.

Your take on this matter is spot on. Not to condone the actions of the father but there are children whose youthful exuberance can take a dark turn, making parents question their birth origin.

1 United States Dollar = 60.55 Gambian Dalasi

1 United States Dollar = 186.25 Liberian Dollar

1 United States Dollar = 101.24 Cape Verdean Escudo

While 1 Dollar is above 780 naira.

The naira still has a better purchasing power than these currencies. A bottle of coke in Liberia is over 2 USD (400 Liberian dollar) while in Nigeria it is less than a dollar at 205 naira.

This doesn't mean I support the corn man in Abuja. Redenomination of the naira at this time is a bad call.

Absolutely, there is no way we can survive with out redenomination of naira. Once naira close the maximum threshold of #1000 per a dollar we can remove a zero . Making 100 naira equal to $1. As of 2013 rate.

And you think that cosmetic approach will solve the problem? Redenomination at this time will be the end of the naira, with such inflationary spikes in the economy and poor purchasing power of the currency, the move will throw the business community into a monetary crisis that will further implode the forex market.

Fear don grip Coupist , and his Fellow Coupist accross West Africa

Facts.. about the invasion

✓Europe is a cold continent that heavily need gas for electricity, energy and heat

✓Russia is European largest Supplier of Gas through Nord Stream 1 and 2 , US is also a supplier

✓Nigeria has one of the largest gas reserve in the world infact we burn and flare gas wasting it for fun

✓European Union wants to build a Gas pipeline from Niger Delta to Morroco and Europe through Spain.. giving them very cheap Nigeria gas

✓Nigeria is set to make Billions of Dollars, which Russia makes

P.S; people talking about Boko Haram and Bandit,

✓International Military convention you can't use maximum lethal force on your own citizens, Boko Haram are Kanuri, Bandits are Hausa, Herdsmen are Fulani

✓Jonathan tried it an US stop selling weapons to him because he killed his own people

.

Your observations are apt but you failed to mention one germane detail. Imo state has the largest gas reserve in Nigeria and it's comfortably sitting on the Biafran territory. Little wonder the UK and EU has been caught in an imbroglio on what to do about MNK and his quest for a Biafra referendum.

Those women are happy that way. Most of them get married to younger African or foreign men because they need someone to assist them in doing chores and running errands due to their age. Everyone came into this world alone and will go back alone. Marriage is not an achievement as no one will award you for getting married. One gets married to either have children, get sexually satisfied, or to get a companion. It's here in Africa that we see marriage as a big achievement and people who hasn't gotten married are failures or the likes. Lmao! Really African mentality.

As we get older we crave companionship, that is one of the satisfaction derived from marriage.

Romance / Re: Why Is Cheating Considered Normal For Men? by Timetravel88: 5:18pm On Aug 01, 2023
adebayo987:
Tradition caused it. Women are treated like properties such that a man must buy her in the guise of dowry. Why wouldn't men see cheating as normal when they paid for their wives?

Why do most Nigerian women divorce their Nigerian husbands once they get to the Europe or America? It's simply because they're treated equally as men. Here, a woman is seen as a house maid whose duties lies in the
kitchen and the other room. This is the bitter truth. I love Korean and Japanese people so much because they're so honourable, their women honour their bodies and are in charge of their homes more than their men as they're respected, which made cheating almost impossible in those countries.

This is also the reason why marriage numbers has significantly dropped in the west. Men are no longer interested because it offers them no benefit, they'll rather have kids outside the umbrella of marriage. This has invariably caused a conundrum for the women as their numbers as single, lonely and above age 40 is now at an all time high.

Forgive me Sir....but you are wrong. People have no intention of returning. Foreign countries benefit from the taxes these people pay and use the money to better their society.....only recently Ghana realised they no longer had enough nurses for their own population because of Japa syndrome.

Also anything Bill Gates says is good.....know that it's bad for Africans.

So many Africans are cleaning old Oyibo people's Ynash and paying them tax for the privilege.

Obi sounds naive and completely oblivious of the true outcome of the situation. Those who left Nigeria might never return, even if they do it will be in their twilight years when they are least productive or have become dependent.
Western societies are designed to keep you locked into the system with no escape route. All you do is work as years turns into decades, by then your kids are grown with a cultural shift in ideology and who they really are. They too will not see Nigeria as their home because Nigeria will be 10 times worse off should it continue to exist.

It's not insecure to say what you don't like while dating, those who tolerate bad habits without drawing the lines are the insecure ones. They'll rather not say anything because they fear they'll loose their girl if they do. That's the highest level of insecurity.
A real man should always draw the lines on the things he can tolerate.

Look who's talking about going back to school. I condemn the destructive acts by the youths and in the same breath call out your ignorance in geography. Nigeria's geopolitical zone mapping is in sharp contrast to geographical mapping using the 4 cardinal points.

Going by those coordinates, Cross River is East, Akwa Ibom is South East, Rivers and Bayelsa is South, some states in the 5 South Eastern geopolitical zone is East Central.

Do not get it mixed up, geopolitical zones is not the same as geographical zones. The former is for political numbers and permutations while the latter is for geo location.

Something more you should add. Warri as a city has a culture and lifestyle that encourages immorality and social malfeasance. This led to the decline of necessary values needed to forge a peaceful coexistence between the private sector and host communities.
"Warri no dey carry last" is one of those nefarious expressions that propelled the social decay. The layman interpretation meaning "do what you must to succeed at any cost". Imagine millions of youths indoctrinated with that mind set, it puts living responsibly with honor and dignity in the back seat.
When a wound on the body is left untreated it festers.

This is not news.

It is normal in USA.

If America refuses to kill 2nd amendment, 2nd amendment will continue to kill them.

More than 350 million guns in circulation in USA. Disaster is inevitable.

The problem is not second amendment, America removed God from schools and the Devil came in. A society with no morally structured ideology leads to carnage.
Schools in Nigeria still enthrone morals and discipline as a watchword, this helps graduates stay hopeful when they are faced with harsh realities in the real world. However, Nigeria with no second Amendment has one of the highest mass killings around the world.

They are both Binis(Rema and Johnny drille) if you want to know alongside with Goya ameno, djinee, Cynthia Morgan, late Ojb jezreel, Sarz on the beat etc are all Binis

And also to clear your doubt, up to 90 percent of Edo state are related. Most of them trace to Benin Accor to their oral accounts. And some of them are so close and can’t be properly called independent tribe, take an example of Bini and Esan, our dialects is so close that even till date, linguists still classify Esan as a Bini dialect or that Bini and Esan are not separate languages but they are dialects of the Same language groups. If you need proofs, let me know, we bear the same names, there is no name a Bini man would bear, that an Esan man can not bear and interpret

A Bini man can go on YouTube and watch an Esan film without needing an interpreter

It is like that with the continuum, an Esan man can go to YouTube and watch an Etsako film without needing an interpreter

The Owan/Ora people also have very strong mutual intelligibility with Esan such that up till 1945, they were classed as Esan groups. They have over seventy five percent intelligibility rate with Esan. Some of their clans have over 80 some as much as 85

Even the least intelligible Edo group in Edo state which would be the Akoko groups, they still have over 50 percent of mutual intelligibility rate with Benins. I have heard them speak their native language, it is not that strange, it seems familiar and look like Bini

It is true that large percentage of the Edo demograph comes from the 5 main ethnic groups with roots from Bini (Bini, Etsako, Esan, Owan, and Akoko Edo). However, there are other minority ethnicities in Edo state that makes up the total land mass and general population, these are the few I speak of when I say that Edo state is not an ethnic homogeneous state.

These ethnic groups are the Igbira speaking communities in Akoko Edo, Itsekiri communities in Ikpoba-Okha, and Ijaw Izons and Urhobos in Ovia North East and South West Local Government Areas, especially in the borderlands. We have also the Igbo speaking indigenous communities in Igbanke (Ika) in Orhionmwon LGA.

It hurts when the trust is broken that is why some women leave a cheating husband.

However life later force such women to either become someone else side chick or a second wife. So the women do not really escape sharing the men.

What can the women really do? It is a man's world in Africa so it is more difficult for women to survive and take care of the kids alone. The first mistake they make when leaving is that they take the kids along.

To me, if a woman is leaving a man because he is cheating, she should leave the kids for him and bother only about herself.

You say it's a man's world in Africa like you are blind to recent happenings in marriages in the west. Divorce rates are through the roof as single mothers flood dating apps looking for a man to lean on, but sadly most of those men just wants to get laid. They eventually resort to buying a cat or dog as their kids gets older, in a desperate need to beat loneliness.
