Rondeau Definition A rondeau (plural rondeaux) is a form of French poetry with 15 lines written on two rhymes. Variant forms may have 10 or 13 lines. It makes use of refrains, repeated according to a certain stylized pattern. It was customarily regarded as a challenge to arrange for these refrains to contribute to the meaning of the poem in as succinct and poignant a manner as possible. The rondeau consists of thirteen lines of eight syllables, plus two refrains (which are half lines, each of four syllables), employing, altogether, only three rhymes. It has three stanzas and its rhyme scheme is as follows: (1) A A B B A (2) A A B with refrain: C (3) A A B B A with concluding refrain C. The refrain must be identical with the beginning of the first line. Example In Timi's Heart, by TimPaker: In Timi's heart my love is housed Her blood I swam tipsy, arou..sed In the tree of her veins - my name Her voice, my breath her heart beat same; Boma, Phils, Jakak were all moused When the priest had I and her spoused Then they knew she have had them bounced For love has never been a game In Timi's heart Love comes freely and can't be pounced Its both a curse and cause espoused, Her love brought me an envious fame As a lover on glorious tame Just as our union was announced In Timi's heart |

May she Rest in Perfect Peace. Hey Vivi These candles are in flame Cuz of you. I could see the smokes Heading up gently in white moody waves - I could see them piercing the chest of the sky Making way for home far above The difference between up and down Is the waft of air and the smell of our breath The peace and freedom; and the hustle tussle; They said you were gone but... Gone to where? Up to the Man above the sky, right? Damn! You went to soon. In our gallery of thought ye shall dwell Amongst many who toed with death Perx and others. If i could guess right... Peace came like a dove And you had to cling to it Well... Rest in peace Farewell |

I woke up this morning with a very weird note from a lawyer to appear in court in regards to a report that I'm disturbing the neigbourhood with my sound system. Well, the truth be told, I recently bought one of the latest sound system from Samsung and felt the need to have it tested (in my house, an estate) that same day in the evening. But while having a blast from the electronics (i.e. Playing a music from Don Jazzy's controversial hit - babyface) a neighbour whom I share a fence with came and knocked at my door telling me to put off my music that she wanna catch some sleep. I felt awkward. How dare she tell me to put off my electronics! Maka why? If she had told me to reduce the volume (which wasn't even that much high) I would have easily obliged but her demand was authoritative and rude so I choose to ignore her and went about my music-testing-mode. Then this morning I woke up to discover that I've been sued by her. Like WTF!!!!! ![]() So I'm asking Nairalanders if anyone here have been sued before. |
