Its funny how I could see you clearly with my eyes closed yet I flinched from you; and then when I open my eyes I go blind like the darkness I had seen and thus it makes me wonder which is day and which is night. What mare could this be? Still trying to get the appropriate figures of speech for this Oops! Happy New Year!!!! |
Sleep please come quickly ![]() |
Merry Christmas |
Poetry form: Ottava Rima The ottava rima stanza in English consists of eight iambic lines, usually iambic pentameters. Each stanza consists of three alternate rhymes and one double rhyme, following the a-b-a-b-a-b-c-c pattern. Go, a little more, a little bit more.. Its a snake-like bend just take the chance Damn who's coming; swerve, veer & ignore The curse after - time may need to enhance its tiny legs like one healed off by fatigued sore... Few boring blink beams its last before trance Then came a maddening & thunderous honk Bang!!! Both tires screeched to a metal junk From one silent fuss emerged huge cloud of smoke And the scent of regret pollute the air Choking everyone even the bystanders who came to poke When there was truly a smoke with fire there Extinguishers frantically hissed at trapped folks As they jostle for survival there and here A four year old soaked in sweats of blood Crawled out crying severely burnt by hot rod Her mum stolled out unharmed but not dad The smell and gore of roasted meat and a helpless cry Troubled the hapless kerosine-crowd- too bad Dead souls liters the sunny but smoky sky Confused; and empty air cannisters of sad Bystanders lays on the road with teary eyes The other bus was engulfed with rampaging hell The yells, torments and pain all desist to tell Dedicated to the victim of road accident at Enugu/Okigwe, 23rd Dec. 2013 04:23pm |
Its here! I could smell it like the Harmattan breeze I also could see the droplets of dews and ice Struggling to cling on my window's eyes Its time! My costume of merriment Envelop me is somewhat colours Of Christmas flag With hopping boots and gloves to match Down and far farther from the freezing field Blossoms petite cuttons sprouts off its buds "Oh there is my hair and beard to be..." (Then back inside) I'm with few pennies With no gifts nor wheels or carts Just my young self clad in Santa's fur Well, it isn't Christmas yet It's just 11:37pm But I know Christmas is here. .. |
"Tim, I'd like to tell you something. I'm scared" She said while sobbing over the phone. I laid on my bed thinking a thought I wished I had had - being careful. The last time I saw her was last month at her birthday party in Lagos and we both got drunk and passed out in each others arms. "What could be the problem? Is she pregnant? Did we do it (se..x)?" These questions turned my head into a thought-market as I gazed the ceiling for answers unanswered. After wondering for minutes, I decided to man-it-up and accept all consequences. Different baby names crept into my mind; If its a boy then he'd bear my name, yes 'Junior' sounds perfect. And if its female, she'd bear my first love's name for God knows that I've been trying to honour that lady since her death. My thoughts were cut short with a knock on the door. "Koko, is that you?" I asked before heading to the door. The fact is I knew it was her but wanted to confirm with her voice. No one knocks so feebly like Koko. I opened to door and Koko walked it with a letter in her right hand. Damn! I was right. She is pregnant! She sat down on the couch next to my overpriced sound system weeping uncontrollably. Her snake-like eyes were sullen. I sat next to her comforting her. "Don't worry babe, I will take good care of you I swear" I said while collected the letter from her. "Tim I'll miss you dearly. My mum said the university is the best in Canada and that the visa is out" she said while holding my hands. Confusion ran into my veins like mad man who. "Wait a minute, you are going to study abroad?" I asked while dis-embracing her. "Yes I am?" She said somewhat inquisitive "And you are not pregnant?" I asked before opening the letter. "Pregnant? Tim no! Its just my fear of losing you while I'm away studying" She stood up to hold my hand. "Mtchew!!!" I said then quietly walked away. to be continue |

Symphony007: did you hear me say being gay or lesbian is good morally? I never did. That assumption cannot be made by you or anyone else. It is between the person who choose that lifestyle and their creator. In the min time everybody should be allowed to live their lives as they choose. Is fornication moral? Is the government stealing from the poor moral? Is marrying muliple women moral? Is allowing your children watching gory voilent blood drenched movies and cartoons moral? Are muslims in the north marrying child brides moral? Why are'nt all these being criminalized or frowned upon? It's just pure and utter hypocricy, misplaced priority and disrespect for fellow humans. You spoke my mind. Dictating to people on how to live their lives is somewhat disturbing as the one dictating isn't morally uptight. If people chooses to be gay or lez then its their problem as long as they don't pose a threat to the community they live in or break down runs and regulation governing the land. But seriously, I don't see what people will be bothered about what others do in closed door or how they express themselves outside. Enigmatic icon: Em..Is it funny? justasking.com# |

As the sky washes off the dark Cloud of yesterday just after the c0ck crowed I woke up from my sleep with her by my side Smiling just like the angel i dreamt about Who converted my dreams from The debris of floating bubbles to solid rocks - And she look just like her! While i stare and trance in those hypnotic eyes Basking on the dream i had had, A velvety touch brought me back to being I felt it cuddling my goatee and my bushy eyebrow And then it stopped... I saw her unfolding a piece of paper "Good morning love" then she read to me a poem With a voice similar to that of Apollo's saying "To whom my heart belongs to A seamless lover who tickles my soul Rise to the day...another best day ever to be I've blessed your day with my kiss And my smiles are there to guide you To overcome your fears And defeat your stress Rise up love its Tuesday" My face was stained with glowing smiles As i saw my reflection on her face But then I felt a b0ner down below; She rose up and poured colourful roses on the floor Which stretched from the bedroom to the bathroom And the sun quietly peep with glee I rose up to hug her tightly To kiss and put my fingers through her hair With just a step on the wet roses My alarm went off Its 11:54AM |
