Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by Tmoni(m): 10:47am On Sep 27, 2007
@ wanj0

lets say i buy about 100,000 units of dangote sugar at N31 and sell off at about N40,
i did a small calculation and the profit that would accrue should in the region of 600-700 k after commisions,

say i get a loan for this at 15%, hw long do u think it would take to get to this sell off point going with the maximum 5% on bidding at the exchange.

since its for short term, no need to commit my own funds, thats what i think
opinion
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by Tmoni(m): 11:13pm On Sep 26, 2007
thanks guys, then we go on to dangote sugar, at least to make up for the stupid ones i bought at N39,

@iceman, dnt really know what the fundamentals of that stock is but if u do nt need the money ASAP, u might want to stick in for some more time,
somebody once said on this forum "u do not make a loss/gain until u have actually sold"
i also have an issue like that in the name of CONOIL, its not been too well, but i believe one day, they would put the round pegs in the round holes and the sector would be fully liberalised,

i am not a guru or finance guy so i say its for the gurus to decide on what u shld do, maybe there are other stocks which might make up for ur perceived loss

@temmie, i got quite some WEMA,
and my broker jokingly asked "when did u become a trader",
i replied, temmie taught me so,

would hold on pertaining to diamond,
but not yet got crusader

@temmie10, hopefully would add bavarian caviar to it

really getting disappointed with sterling, but they had already done a share reconstruction, is the market regulated?
assuming the share reconstruction takes place, is there still going be a bull run on the stock before a technical suspension
if its done at say 7 and the reverse split is done at 1 for 2, then we are talking bout a N14 stock,
would the technical suspension come at N14 or they would artificially take it to about N19,
what do u guys think,

too bad, i got diamond at an average of N18.10,
got to get some more to reduce overall expenditure, does it sound resonable

bros, make una pls approve or disapprove my theory

i have not yet been told but we reached an agrement for me to reduce my exposure to the security, and increase stake in diamond,

DIAMOND is value investment,
WEMA is get rich quick

but i am too exposed to the banking sector, if a major shake-up happens in that sector, then it s all over

Education / Re: Bad Things You Did In Secondary School? by Tmoni(m): 11:56am On Sep 18, 2007
i went to chrisland college idimu,

i broke locker and "pammed" provosions embarassed,  i also cut my finger nails in a way that it was sharp and i used it on many a junior students head, it was called THE CLAW

i had a deal with a junior student once which was a bowl of richly nourished cornflakes for all his meat and fish for a term (if EU catch me, i would be fined more than MICROSOFT) shocked shocked

i learned exam malpratice and used it well especially in SS2, also in SS2, we always wanted to find out the colour of the girls panties and we compare colours by 10am (GOD FORGIVE US), once i was punished to go and sit on the floor in front of the class, the lecturer did not know he just gave me tickects to the (FREE SHOW) as we used to call it back then

I once put APPOLLO WATER in somebodies eye and he also caught the APOLLO,
USED to flash light in peoples eyes and we would gang beat the poor fellow

used to shout on my housemaster in public and beg in private so i had a rep of a raking person( Mr OO, 4 GIVE ME pls),

but mind u, i also suffered too when i was i school, some maniacs came to the school and changed the punishments, most popuar was trying to push the bus to the bus stop, the supposed  bus was drawn on the wall
