European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Tmoni(m): 1:27am On Feb 02, 2009
@Sauron, lol on the diagrams

@Cristalz, men, u went with a right jab and a left hook, reminds me of a fella once called Cassius Clay,

Anyway, back to Man Utd
Its really better for us that Liverfool won instead of Chelski cos they do not and i repeat do not have the streak, mentality & form to continue to churn out this reasults, lets see their next game against Pompey, then we would make the final judgement

Chelsea has been demoralised and it would take a real good "tough talk" to put them on course, they have lost 4 games to other members of the big 4, one more loss and its definately all over

so hw are we gonna tackle West Ham,
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Tmoni(m): 9:42am On Feb 01, 2009
@dayokanu,, did Man Utd not deserve a second panalty for the charge on Carrick
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Tmoni(m): 1:08am On Feb 01, 2009
i just saw the penalty and the foul on match of the day, and it was a very clear penalty

the guy (arteta) stuck is leg out to strike him, well after he (carrick) had beaten and carrick was goal bound

i think we shld all enjoy the game and sometimes call a spade a spade, pls dnt go on ranting FA, referees, this and that,
Man Utd grind out the results, thats how a team aiming for the top spot would do, get d job done, and look on to the next game

SAF is already planning his strategy against Zola and the hammers, (after sipping his wine while watchn a draw at Anfield)

so those saying it was not a penalty should do the following
1. go for lazer eye surgery (eyes)
2. see a top shrink (brain)

@MrCrackles,

In my office, we play a game to see who makes the tea/coffee. Dnt wanna go into details of the game. First person out puts boils the water and the last person makes the tea/coffee.

Many a times where the game goes on and on and the tea boy (official name) has to start the process again.

hi all, really thread, one of d first meaningful ones in a while
i really quite enjoyed going thru especially, chairman tkb who got a phone no, pls even if it is not office related, jst give us gist on progress, lol

@mukina2, sorry bout ur project, sure u get it better done nw
@ contactuzo, had an uncle who used to be at AWD a while ago , was criss crossing the country

'topic, i work as a project planner/controller, make sure d coy makes money, bottomline, lol

this year has been a bit slow sha, nothing much going on here, we waiting till march to hear if we will win a major 10 yr contract, i pray soo if not p45 (redundacy) go shele,

i jst got my payslip today, still d same sha, no increase, but its landlord and credit card companies that are ready to collect it, na wa, i worked the longest month in the year for others, well God dey sha, spent d whole lot on christmas gift, cards, dinner and now before i recover, valentine don dey come,

well, back to office gist, my boss gave me some easy thing to do, u knw those things that u just do just to do, i was on it and discovered that i was filling in the wrong column, omo, i give myself sense ooo becos i was working on the server and if u make mistake, its the whole coy that will see it (abt 8,000 people in 5 continents), dats yawa

on the lighter note, d deepest voice in my office belongs to one little, small dude , every time d i hear his voice, i just un-intentionally look towards his direction to confirm that it is nt a T-pain voice (digitally remastered), it sounds like rolling thunder, lol

ok, off i go b4 i miss my train, make cold no finish me for station,

regards all
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Tmoni(m): 5:23pm On Jan 28, 2009
but O'shea is not as bad u portray him

dat guy has saved Man U's bacon more than a few times,

rememba when he had to stand in as goal keeper when van der sar got a red card, think it was portsmouth fa cup last year, and CR7 missed a pen,

D guy dey try for us ooo, ready to step into any role, thats whats called an asset, hes also scored the occasional goal,
think of Wazza defending and think bout an avarage of 2 red cards per game, lol
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Tmoni(m): 3:39pm On Jan 28, 2009
Viva Ronaldo!!!!

@Sauron, u are very spot on wiv ur words

@tkb, a lot of people would say meaningless things about CR7, loads of dem GAYnners especially with the realisation that he would hv been at emirates,

Fact is, Dat Boy Ronaldo is good,

back to the footie, my biggest scare is the game against inter, sends shivers down me spine cos Jose has got quite a record against SAF, well, if Gigsy plays in the middle, we shld hv a chance
Career / Getting Employed From Outside The Country by Tmoni(m): 12:31pm On Jan 27, 2009
Really good topic again, it is the dream of alot of us to work back home in Nigeria and in a way do our own part in nation Building but sometimes, the so called Nigerian Employers really take the mick of u

i recently applied for a job in Nigeria (reputable firm in engineering built a very big FPSO recently) and the first response i got was do u want to be employed as an expatriate or do u want to relocate

i replied in asking for the difference and the company's representative (note, i did not say the company becos i belive management would not approve the reply) says WE DO NOT RECRUIT BLACK AS EXPATRIATE,

i recieve a phone call and i asked ok, if i am relocating back to nigeria, what are the benefits, at least my flight ticket should be paid and she goes No,we would not do that and i promptly told her to forget about it,

its not worth going back to generator fumes & noise, ole & agbero, nepa et al for a company that is as crass as that

i think companies shld employ and train people for HR jobs and not just draft in anybody who has a degree

i am still very much interested in going home some day when the company is sensible

Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by Tmoni(m): 10:21pm On Mar 17, 2008
Going with the DSR result and bonus,
i would advice peeps not to sell now cos even if the price gets to (about) N45 and is marked down to about N37, the price should rebound to the early 40's range in a not distant future so why not get more shares, a few thousands as dividend and sell at a decent price.

my lil analysis though,
