well market and its permutations, any info on the ETB private placement, sorry if i seem to keep asking this question over and over, just would not want it to pass us(nairalanders) by, nice one on the MTN news, looks like its my brokers 12% interest i would be seeing for a while now |
![]() |
phew, been a while @ all, any news on the ETB private placement, the information on this thread is so "up- to- date" and rich that my broker cries that i probably have more knowledge than him has anybody recieved their oceanic certs and any information on union diagnostics ![]() |
![]() |
at least we can get our money back from first bank and save up for ETB, the ECO-STERLING thingy, what is it going to be like are we 1. (STERLING) shareholders going to be given shares in the enlarged company or 2. going to be paid a premium to sell our shares to ECOBANK really hope its option 2 though, |
![]() |
our beloved WEMA was up the maximum 5%, nobody even tried going lower the other gamble stock i have which i bought entirely due my descion is STERLING BANK, Let ECOBANK PUT UP or SHUT UP so we have an idea whats in store for us guys, whats ur take on the proposed acquisition, |
![]() |
looks like the HOLD descion was the best one, my broker confirmed the news that they were buying their stock for a while and he expects to go on TS soon, looks like Nigerian german is on the move |
![]() |
me and flat mate have got our jerseys ans we have a bet that which ever team wins, the other donates his jersey to charity as a true red devil, i believe we would triumph over them, at least to make up for the humilation i suffered last january |
![]() |
i still do not feel its time to rejoice over WEMA although i am very surprised at this trend today, lets see how the week ends with i would hold my units until it doubles for giving me this heart attack, its defintely long term |
![]() |
looks like i would ride with it, thanks all for your comments, even iwerebor, thank you kudos to yodiyokun |
![]() |
thanks a lot, sounds like wanajo option 2, the opportunity cost is the main reason why i am thinking of opting out, thats probably the line i would be towing if i can get to sell it off NSE--na wa ooo any update on the ETB placement, i heard it would start in november |
![]() |
nope, it makes up about 9% of my portfolio but just thinking, making a loss on this now and probably go into sth like FCMB for long term the threshold is the minimum, i would allow the stock to be sold at any thing above is acceptable, still working out the details was told it might come down to N5 to N6 |
![]() |
so do u advise me to just hold on ![]() getting worried herei am ![]() |
![]() |
just placed a threshold point of N8, na wah ooo, i would definately attempt to buy it at N6, it would definately take a beating, |
![]() |
what if i decide to ride the storm, when do u see a diff. coming out |
![]() |
thanks wanajo that means, it still pays to sell even a N8 cos i am with you on the price stabilising in the N6 region even if i want to re-enter, i would be able to get more shares then and whats the likely time frame for your hypothesis?? |
![]() |
i am in dilema here, i owm 400,000 units of WEMA bank bought an an average of N9.10, i am about to give my broker the sell order i hope i can sell it tomorrow so at least i come out not too scarred considering todays price and the 5% rate does this sound logical? hopefully use it for the ETB private placement on ETB, what do u think the nominal value would be?? |
![]() |
that means with amixture of carefull and risky investments , we shld be able to gain at least 40%, cos i want to do a portfolio management and also take a loan on existing securities to open a trading acct, interest rates of about 17 -18%, hv to make at least 36% and above for it to be a fruitfull venture, PLS, WHO HAS AN IDEA ON A PRIVATE PLACEMENT BY ETB cheers |
![]() |
wema looks to be going good for us now, lets see where it heads to @kilasos, cant seem to find ur email addy, mine shld be there if not holla me on aberdeen no, and 620977 around 8pm and drop ur phone no |
![]() |
@harrisoft, the reason why your post is above mine is because i was screaming at my broker to get me solid info on oceanic certs. she said, they should inform us about the basis of allotment about two weeks before they start posting scertificates, so we should keep all ears to the ground, infact, lets us encourage bigboylary to use his crystal ball deftly now ![]() ![]() we need to ride out this stuff, if not another DANSUGAR or 1st bank is in the works for us, every N1 gain or loss translates to sth else |
![]() |

![]() |
we are still looking for money to buy WEMA, CRUSADER, DANGOTE, DIAMOND, now BERGER PAINTS DON ADD TO THE LIST hw much we get because we need at least 100,000 units of each stock to make substantial impact, my money don finish, i did not heed the forum and bought STERLING at N7.50, free money that i could hv used for better stocks i fit swear for sterling md, the small one in money market now is going to dangote flour, e go better |
![]() |
this is just what i need, really good laugh, @poster, nice one HOTR is IBTC, the abbrevation people then U know, microfinance banks are not well known and spring up every where so allocate 1 microfinance bank to anychurch around your neighbourhood Me thinks RCCG should be Zenith bank because, as Zenith opened their UK branch, RCCG opened a new scottish branch WINNERS should be Intercontinental cos of similar models UNIVERSITY and INSURANCE company both subsidiaries are in the same sectors, both educational and both financial services |
