Not every Christian has the GIFT of tongues.

How does a person get filled with wine? Simple!
By drinking more wine!

How does a person get filled with the Holy Spirit? Simple!
By obeying more of the Holy Spirit!

The effect is Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"
AND
Getting full Controlled by the Holy Spirit.

Here are examples of being filled with the Holy Spirit having nothing to do with tongues

Acts 4:8:
"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them , You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,"

Acts 4:31:
"And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."

Acts 9:17:
"And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared to you in the way as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost."

Acts 13:9:
"Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him."

In all the above, being filled is different from tongues



It's obvious you have a mixup with what Spiritual gifts are:

Spiritual Gifts are supernatural abilities given by the Holy Spirit at His discretion to Every Child of God for the Edification of the Body of Christ.

There are two kinds of tongues
1. The Acts of Speaking/Praying in tongues
2. The gift of Tongues


Let me make the distinction for you:
1. The Act of Speaking/Praying in tongues

You will agree with me that All Christians are expected to Act in ALL aspects of spiritual gifts not necessarily because the have the gifts. Examples: All Christians are expected to Prophesy, Teach, Evangelize not necessarily because they have been called as prophets or teachers or evangelists. Similarly for the "Tool" gifts like Healing, Faith, Discernment of spirits, Tongues and interpretation ALL the the level of our faith and grace.

The fact that I haved been used to heal doesn't mean I have the gift of healing
The fact that I have faith doesn't mean that I have the gift of faith
The fact that I speak in tongues doesn't mean that I have the gift of tongues


2. The Gift of Tongues:

There are diverse kinds of the Gift of tongues

a. Acts of tongues (glossa) interpreted into the language of the listeners in their ears
b. A known spoken language (Edo) translated into Berom language in the ears of the listeners
c. The speaker (Hausa) speaking spontaneously (an unlearned) (Japanese) language
d. Ability to learn and be proficient in a new real language within a very short time.

There is no spiritual gift that is for personal Edification!

The Acts of Praying in tongues is for personal Edification


Eph 4:11-12:
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"

Can u kindly show me in d Bible where d gift of tongue is mentioned?
Eph4 vs11-12, u talked about is mainly for the work of the ministry which is basically d call of God upon pple. These are pple that are called by God specifically for a purpose in the ministry.

I think I've told how to be filled with the holy spirit already, when u pray in the holy ghost he takes over u nd the holy ghost takes charge that is being filled with the holy ghost. Filled with the holy spirit means for him to have control over u than ur normal sense. He's in charge nd control. When speak in tongues, u give d holy spirit more access over ur life to be incharge. Eph 5 Vs 18-19 added to ways of being filled.

Jesus talked about another comforter before he left. In the book of acts, it talks about recieving power after having d holy spirit. 2. Being filled with the holy spirit : It is what u have that u can be filled with. This is also a conscious effort on our part to be filled. Jude 1 Vs 21 nd 1 cor 14 Vs 2 & 4
which says he that speak in tongues edifice himself ( builds himself up) already told u how to be filled, but there are other ways which are also essential like speaking to urself in psalms, singing nd making melody in Ur heart to d Lord Eph 5 Vs 18-19. These are all efforts u put in urself nd letting d holy spirit having His way. In acts 20 Vs 32 also tell us d word of God also build up.

3. The gift of tongue : it is given to every believer once u are born again. The Bible says we are sealed with the holy spirit of promise. If u are ignorant of it, u might not speak in tongues bcuz knowledge is d key in d kingdom of God. Bible say my pple perished bcuz they lack knowledge. 3. have never used that account with any online platform only ATM withdrawals and pos.

4. how on earth were they able to know the exact money I have in that account.

5 so how on earth was my money transferred to this individual called chrispin ilaye

immediately I lodged a complaint to sterlingbank customer service on twitter, Facebook etc

I was later replied back at exactly 12;06pm

4 hours later, giving the beneficiary account enough time to withdraw my money, they later called asking for my account number which I gave them.

day 2 I went to the bank the following day, met the customer service they told me they already blocked my atm, bla bla gave me all sought bull shit, "we've sent a message bro the recipient bank so we await the reply" nothing else we could do!

note this word o recipient bank!

notice: they didn't reveal to me immediately that the beneficiary account was a sterlingbank account also, I later found out through the vigorous questions I asked the customer care

I was mad, angry, frustrated .

My money was transferred using one-pay as it shows on the debit alert which also corresponds with what I saw at the entrance of their door front, I was just vexed anyhow so it triggered me to Google it then I realized it was a sterlingbank platform for online payment and transfer I literally didn't know this before hand.

The same thing happened to me years back,but it was GTbank, 14500 was debited from my account in fact I was at d ATM about to collect cash when I got d alert. I went back to d bank nd explained, all they were saying was I did online transaction,but I took my ground. I traveled d next day,went to another branch. When I started saying I will report nd close my account with them, I told them I wanted to see their boss when my being tough was too much, their worker gave me one number that I should call nd lodged d complain . Immediately I called nd lodged d complain nd told them my next step of action,my money was reversed immediately.
U need to be tough on them , customer care representative cannot solve,ask for their boss. Stand ur ground, see all those customer care representative have boss nd they know who to call to solve it immediately,but they won't. Maybe they wanna know if you are serious about it.

We all know how common building collapse is in Nigeria, and this occurs because of our bad habit of building multi-storey buildings with concrete. In other parts of the world they are using steel, which is a far superior building material because it is lighter (doesn't put as much strain on the foundation) cheaper than Dangote cement, and requires less maintenance.

While steel needs to be imported, healthy demand would create a market incentive for domestic production. We need to start using creativity to solve our problem in Africa.

Point of correction, in Nigeria we use reinforced concrete instead of the concrete u said.
Reinforced concrete is what we all in column which pple call pillars.
Steel is too expensive for it to be used for building in Nigeria.
U have to consider d environment u are before thinking of what to use, nd steel is good for detachable houses which are not common over here.
Considering our environment, reinforced concrete is still d best option nd it's not d reason why building collapse in Nigeria. There are so many factors to consider for that

There is a free will offering which is not a sacrifice,Ur Sunday offering isn't a sacrifice nd so many others.
But a sacrifice is a specified offering which must cost u something special. If it doesn't cost u then it's not a sacrifice.
A gift is something that's free will, something that's giving out of Ur own will, nobody enforce it on u.
So u see now that u can also give gift to God.
