Goyim:Yeah i know which is why i wrote that it has been defined by human ideology. They have helped GOD to add it to the list of sins and have found a way to merge it with sexual immorality which was well explained in the bible. Leviticus 18:1-22New International Version (NIV) Unlawful Sexual Relations(Sexually immoral acts 18 The Lord said to Moses,2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lordyour God. 5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord. 6 “‘No one is to approach any close relative to have sexual relations. I am the Lord. 7 “‘Do not dishonor your father by having sexual relations with your mother. She is your mother; do not have relations with her. 8 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s wife; that would dishonor your father. 9 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere. 10 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; that would dishonor you. 11 “‘Do not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister. 12 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative. 13 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, because she is your mother’s close relative. 14 “‘Do not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations; she is your aunt. 15 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; do not have relations with her. 16 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your brother’s wife; that would dishonor your brother. 17 “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter. Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness. 18 “‘Do not take your wife’s sister as a rival wife and have sexual relations with her while your wife is living. 19 “‘Do not approach a woman to have sexual relations during the uncleanness of her monthly period. 20 “‘Do not have sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife and defile yourself with her. 21 “‘Do not give any of your childrento be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord. 22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman;that is detestable. |
Goyim:A paradox that has been defined by human ideology. nearly every man or lady masturbates to get the temptation of fornication off their minds. |
Admin401:I have a very close female friend who is about 31 years. She told me last week that she has vowed never to allow any man take advantage of her again and she told me of how she masturbates sexual tension off her body which has helped her to stay clear of fornication for a year or more. While some people crave for sex even after masturbating, it can not be denied that teh act has saved many people from committing fornication over and over again. Some people have really seen GOD as so mean that he will create a sexual drive in us, forbids us to fornicate and then counts it as sin if we decide to put off sexual drive habba. |
Daddytyrese:Don't be dude.. It is clear...Masturbation was never mentioned as a sin in the bible but the ideology of man has made it one....so after going through the bible and trying to understand this from the ideological perspective i have arrived at these; Fornication is sin Watching Pornography is sin(Because you will lust after the people in the film and the Bible says lustful look is a sin) Visual Pornographic induced masturbation is sin(Same as above( Sexual thought is healthy masturbating to wade off fornication is not a sin. The argument is what do you think about when you masturbate? ?the girl next door? a sexual act you have had in the past?...for whatever it is,i do not see how thinking about sex translates to sin else all of us will definitely end up in hell because as i type this, i am thinking about sex. The problem is the addiction which makes people confuse it for a sin but the truth is that you can be addicted to many sinless acts. My main aim of creating this thread is to prevent countless people from giving up their salvation because they find themselves masturbating and to tell them not to despair and count themselves unworthy for GOD's kingdom and to encoutrage them to use masturbation to put their body under check rather than explode with passion by raping, molesting or fornicating...that is the aim of this write up. GOD HELP US ALL. |
nickvanilla:The problem is that we want relief, and sin is the way. But if we agree in advance that the way of the faith must inevitably involve suffering, then we are truly living the gospel and have transferred out of the power of evil and into God's will. And masturbation, never forbidden by God, can be used as one of the ways that we can "learn to control our bodies"; not by inflaming the body with pornography or fantasies so that it can be done too often, but in using it to keep ourselves from dangerous, physical temptation. Has anyone ever wondered why God even made masturbation possible for us? I believe it is a true blessing as a way to keep your body under control. from sexual immorality which was fully listed in my post on page 1. For singles, God has given the ability to masturbate, and has not forbidden it. For married couples who are apart and who are thinking of each other, the same applies. But God has most definitely forbidden sinful thoughts that so often accompany masturbation which usually comes as lust and as we know, visual lust is indeed fornication and when you fantasize about sex I believe it is a build up to fornication and while some people give in to the sin of fornication, some may decide to ease off and forget about fornicating. I will continue to say that masturbating is a habit and not a sin and like many other habits, one needs to check it...some people masturbate once a day, some once a week and some once a month while some have allowed addiction to set in and they do it several times a day and that is why people now tag it a sin. |
5minsmadness:Oh my God, I'm drooling over this post and this is why I keep mentioning lalasticlala name because this thread will liberate many people. GOD bless you for your analysis and the wisdom of God will not depart from you. How I wish I can have more intelligent comments like this. God bless you once again for this post. |
Daddytyrese:I have asked some questions but people shy away from it. Marriage is the first step to stopping masturbation... The problem is that we have become so hypocritical about some things in life. Is sexual thought a sin? Is it a sin to have wet dreams is it a sin to touch your sexual organs? Is it a sin to defecate and urinate? Why does it become a sin to ease off sexual tension when your system yearns for fornication proper? If after marriage you still find yourself doing it then its either your spouse is depriving you of regular sex or you have crossed the line. I hate it when people use human ideology to suggest what is sinful and what is not...i t is heresy and a grave sin to add or subtract from Gods words. Do you know that soldiers during war masturbates? intact I saw a documentary where they used a intimacy gadget and I was like this is fair enough. Do you know that doctors recommend self service to some people? In fact I don't know what to say. |
ThisCouldBeUs:Check the pages and you will see how uncultured you are and I sense you have a terrible upbringing else you won't barge into a discussion to start using vulgar words...so what were you expecting after cursing me because I expressed my view on a matter? can't you see you are indeed the sick one? You must be a jerk to think I will pat you on the head or be calm on you after displaying a low life illiterate altitude. |
5minsmadness:Lol! you don't bother about that. That is the hypocrisy I talked about and it happens every where. Front page is not about what a mod likes. I see threads about self servicing being portrayed as a sin from time to time but here is a thread that explains the vivid side to it so calling him is vital and its his job to either put it out or not. Finally YES I'm not being paid but writing is a deep passion I have and when I write, I write stuffs that are worth it regardless of people's opinion. I just might set up a vlog so that I can continue my passion there and leave nairaland for good. |
ThisCouldBeUs:The first part of your post makes sense but the last part ricks ignorance, foolishness and grave stupidity to use those terms. If you are too mentally empty to discuss matters without using abusive words then do yourself the honour of keeping mum.. There are many addictive habits out there and if you read my piece which I know you did not..you would have seen it there. My point is..masturbation is a habit and not a sin and just like any other innocuous habit like eating food, eating chocolates, betting and many others can destroy your life if unchecked but that does not make these habits sinful...please is this too hard for you all to decipher? |
The most annoying thing is that i can bet my balls on it that all the guys who commented against this piece are so guilty of masturbation and most likely fornication. One of the worst sins in life is hypocrisy and GOD hates hypocrites. It is also very sickening that many people these days are very very shallow minded, zombie like in mentality and they lack the dexterity to discuss matters intelligently. You tell someone not to go there and the person asked why and you say just don't go there then you must either be dumb orhave something you are hiding. I want every pastor calling self servicing as an act a sin to come on board and make me understand why it is. Too sad lalasticlala sometimes usually get biased to put factual threads on frontpage so that people can discuss. |
Damfostopper:The point is that masturbation in itself is not a sin and was never mentioned as a sin in the bible but i see it as a habit like every other good or bad habits as decided by an individual but don't tag it a sin. The funny side to it is that people usually associate sexual thoughts that come with the act a sin and i still don't understand how it becomes a sin for me to have sexual thoughts...for petes sake i am a sexually active man and i think sex everyday. If you dont think about sex as a young unmarried man or woman then something might just be wrong somewhere. Viewing pornography is a sin because those involved in the film are fornicating and when you watch porn you tend to lust after the characters but please what has sin got to do with a sexually active person easing off sexual passion without visual lust or hurting anyone and in the bid to wade off possible fornication which is a clear sin according to the Bible. There are no two ways to it, as long as you are sexually active and single, you will always be left with 3 options..FORNICATE,SELF SERVICE OR BURN WITH PASSION and trust me the third option will even be truncated when you have wet dreams because sex deprivation for a sexually active person usually leads to wet dreams where you will equally ease of and that to some people is even a sin. Our problem as individuals is that most people have no minds of their own, they follow what the pastors say and will never take time out to understand what GOD says about a matter from the scriptures. |
WindUpMerchant:When I gave my life to Christ in 1987 I realized one funny trend. Each time I do some things that some see as sin I usually tell myself that I'm not good enough to be saved. In fact people will tell me to my face that I'm a fake born again just because I got angry or use words like get out. The truth is that human philosophy has replaced scriptural injunctions and this has led many people to hell. Many ladies go to hell because they refuse to be born again because they can't stop using earings, weaveons, trousers or make up and many guys prefer to stay away from salvation because they can't imagine not taking a bottle of beer... But unfortunately all the sermon of not wearing earrings and so on were formulated by men. So how can a sexually active man or woman bottle up sexual passion till he gets married? For those who can I say good but for others who can't It will be a clear sin to fornicate which is pure sin so where did people get the idea that easing off natural sexual passion is a sin? Ask some people today why they are not born again and some will say becUze they can't atop masturbating so they are not good enough for salvation...what heresy. So as many people as are reading this please note that masturbation is not a sin and it is a better option to fornictating.Pornography is a sin and visual porn induced masturbation is a sin but if you can ease off by thinking about sex please do. Sexual feeling is natural, God placed it in us and there is no sin in easing off strong passion for sex. But nevertheless, the habit should be watched so that it will not lead to addiction just like any other innocuous habit. |
davisoncrusoe:The way you presented your post made me feel you had something really intriguing to contribute but after going tru the scripture you quoted I don't see any relevance to the subject of discussion Leviticus 18:1-22New International Version (NIV) Unlawful Sexual Relations 18 The Lord said to Moses,2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. I am the Lord. 22 “‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman;that is detestable. So what is the point here as regards self servicing? |
WindUpMerchant:I have no opinion on this matter neither do I seek anybody's opinion. What I want is the scriptural opinion on it. |
WindUpMerchant:See talk kai!,,nairalanders won't kill me with comedy. What does cocaine, weed do to the body which is Gods temple, they defile it by destroying it and the bible says we must not defile Gods temple. Rape and assault are vivid sins because you harm another but please how does self servicing fit into all these? Apparently you can see that it is quite convenient to use human philosophy to say things. I'm not here to promote masturbation but to clear the heresy surrounding it It is a habit that can be addictive if unchecked BUT IT IS NOT A SIN. |
WindUpMerchant:Jokes apart..I want to know the truth but no one seems to be helping matters but talk from their own perspective but I need a scriptural angle so please help me out. Saying masturbation as an act is a sin when the bible did not prove that is a big sin and can lead many to hell. We have to stop this. How I wish lalasticlala can let more people see the thread.maybe someone can shed more light. |
Vick4rill:Please i ask again..is thinking about sex a sin? Is having wet dreams a sin? If im married and i think about my wife while wanking as they call it,is it a sin? |
WindUpMerchant:I honestly dont even expect any form of ovation for this but my aim is to save many people who have ngiven up their salvation because they find themselves masturbating after accepting Jesus as lord and Saviour. Many people who dont deserve to be in hell are crying and burning in hell right now because of hypocrites and heretic preachers who preach trash to the people in the name of human philosophy. I asked a simple question...is there anywhere in the Bible that calls masturbation a sin...until now none of the critics have come up with one verse even the pastors but look at the way i dissected the topic in my post above yet many people will still come here to write balderdash. I want t0 learn because i dont know everything but dont come here to write an annoying post that does not address the subject of discuss. If you have no scriptural reference to back your claims just please keep mum and be a spectator. |
Vick4rill:what truth? and why the rhetorics? I asked someone here a simple question.."is thinking about sex a sin"? When you watch porn is not apparent that you will lust after the characters? Please i beg you in GOS;s name,i dont need blabbers on this thread and i really get pissed when i gear people talk off point. Prove to me that masturbation is a sin from the bible and if the bible is silent about then then you have no right to add or remove from the bible or you get all the curses in the bible on you. |
WindUpMerchant:See your life. If you must know, i have never wanked in my life and that is the problem with the mindset of some people. Once you see someone talking in favor or against a subject, you will quickly juxtapose it with the life of the person. Let me warn you,if you are of double standard then you are nothing but an abomination to GOD. Many of you come here to call it a sin but will indulge in it or worse still fornication, please who are you fooling? And i really blame myself for wasting time discussing with you cos you have no scriptural input but blabbing.,,go spend your time doing what you love to do which is wooing nairaland ladies..i need people with scriptural input. |
WindUpMerchant:Amen..Hypocrite. |
fullstreets:Anywhere wey their currency pass our own jare. |
suzan404:Nice one but you did not organize it well..you must be quick to create them by words then add pics latter but there were too many interruptions. Good one tho |
It may not be easy for the ladies but as a guy abeg what on earth will stop you from getting a good job after studies? Life is about planning, perseverance and patience. Simply marry a Briton and take time to build your life..the way Nigeria is going I won't advice anyone to go out and study with the hope of getting a job in Nigeria except the children of the rich. |
MhizVeronica:Lmao! Good one OP. |
Isaacmacdon:Of course I wrote this to liberate people who have been enslaved by heresy, to bring back many people who have given up on their salvation because they felt they are not good enough for Gods kingdom because they self service and to expose hypocrites who come online to form holier than thou but are more enmeshed in shitty stuffs. Nuff said and do have a splendid day. |
Isaacmacdon:You are beginning to sound lame again..you know what, I would love it if you can be humble enough to keep mum over this matter cos I'm tired of your shallow mindedness over this matter. |
Isaacmacdon:Obviously you have nothing to say..OK sit on a couch and get this straight. The real shame is that people are lumping whatever they assume is in the English phrase "sexual immorality" and then claiming, as you did, that masturbation is part of it but you are so very wrong Sexual immorality involves Adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals, sexual intercourse with close relatives. Sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mark 10:11 One can also go through the Septuagint translation of the Old Testament to see what Hebrew words were translated to get an idea of what the word meant. You will find: zanah - to lie down like a prostitute ( Jeremiah 2:20 ; Micah 1:7 ) zenunim - Harlotry, prostitution ( Hosea 1:2 ; Nahum 3:4 ) zenuth - Unfaithfulness, prostitution ( Numbers 14:33 ; Jeremiah 3:2 ; Hosea 4:11 ) taznuth - Harlotry, lust ( Ezekiel 16:15 ; 23:7 , 11 ) The actual Greek word for masturbation was anaphlan , which does not appear in the Bible. As I pointed out in " Is masturbation sinful or not? " the act of masturbation would fall underneath one category of uncleanness, that of ejaculation. Unclean things in themselves, such as pigs, death bodies, menstrual periods, etc., were not sinful in and of themselves. Breaking the laws in dealing with unclean things was sinful. Since God did not define the act of masturbation as sinful, nor as righteous, it would be sinful to add or subtract from what God said. Instead, we look at what typically accompanies masturbation and there we find plenty of things to talk about why those accompanying things are wrong. But even here, the accompanying sinful things, such as pornography, are sinful because the Bible condemns pornography ( I Thessalonians 4:5 ). Can you see the way I have used the scriptures to buttress my point? That is what I expect from you. |
Isaacmacdon:You are now communicating so my questions are; Is thinking about sex a sin? How does masturbation becomes sexual immorality? If I'm married and my wife travels, is it a sin if I masturbate thinking about sex with my wife? As an unmarried person is it a sin if I ease off thinking about sex? Please note that you are now discussing the matter from the scriptures so I would like you to back up your answers with scriptures. |
Isaacmacdon:If I were you I will keep off this thread rather than come here to ridicule yourself I'm happy the bible is still with us so if you cant make reasonable contribution with biblical reference just keep mum and sulk in your hypocrisy I'm eager to learn and I can't wait to change my mindset but I'm not ready for town criers like you..Yes I'm hard on you and no apologies..I just detest hypocrites. When you are ready to discuss with biblical reference I will gladly indulge you but until then I may have to ignore you. |
octopusfreaky:Food is good and eating is sinless provided you eat reasonably but when you eat too much you become a glutton and gluttony is a sin. Taking alcohol is never mentioned as a sin but when you allow drunkenness to set in then you have sinned but because many people usually cross the line, pastors preach against taking alcohol and I totally support that. Even if masturbation was never mentioned as a sin, we should know that addiction to it just like any other addiction is not right but calling the act a sin is the issue I have. Many people will still come here to call it a sin BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS...is that not foolishness? |
