Zikkie:

Update as per my dad he is getting better we bless God. I went with him to the hospital (private arrangement with the doctor) for a change of catheter. I also contacted someone mum knows and he was able to help extract the PSA result... It read 0.6ng/ml as against the very high 1365ng/ml before the surgery. Thank God its back to normal. We still trust him to complete that which he has begun.
Enjoy the rest of your day sweet family... I love you all from the depth of my heart.

This is FANTASTIC. We are joining our faith with you and your family that God will complete you dad's healing in Jesus name.

Hi
Concerning our get-together treat, I think it's best we shelve it for now. This is because we want the treat to be a full house. So we'll wait till when we all ready to meet.

Very good idea since our sisters, Candy and Hephzi are currently going through treatment. I will keep polishing my grooving shoes until the time we can all meet.
Per the xmas gifts... una thank you ooo. I would also like to do some adding to the basket of gifts, please let me know how it goes.

CandyGosh, may God keep you longer. I have a friend who is also battling cancer. A great man with good heart, a rare gem and I call him an angel, one with large heart. He has touched my life in no small measure.
He donates a fraction of his money to ophanage homes.

This life is just a pot of beans. I am sorry to hear about your friend and I do hope he bounces back from this real quick. Pele dear

We cried out for TEHN to take up the case but nobody responded and unfortunately, don't know any TEHN member. Please if you are touched to give, there are so many ways you can do that. You can send it via WUMT or via any trusted person's PayPal account. May God bless you as you give.

I believe Chaircover, Jaybee and R231 are TeHN members

He still needs assistance dear. Even if it is to help his family members take care of him. In cases of illness, the caregivers go through a lot. Please guys, DO NOT stop giving.
God willing, once he is hale and heart, if there are any leftovers he can use that to start the rest of his life.

God bless you all for your contributions, prayers, concern and legwork.

Another important contribution that should not be overlooked is access to healthcare. It is all good if funds hit the account but if no competent medical practitioner takes charge of this case - - -
So please if you are a LUTH or LASUTH worker or know anyone who can help avoid all the stress of those institutions, please step in. God bless you mightily.

DJDOLA
You will get funds, don't worry if things seem slow today.
It is the weekend and interbank transfers for some of us do not work except for weekdays. Also some people need to get to banks physically to transfer funds. Do not despair okay.
If you can get in touch with the doctor who handled your case at LUTH, please go back to him so things that need to be done would be known.
Tests, treatment etc.
Olorun a fun e ni alaafia. Amin

R-Jolad... private hospitals cannot handle this issue. Jolad does not even have a lab that can handle a simple needle biopsy. Doctor to patient ratio is 00000. I have spent hours just waiting to see a doctor. Not to discourage you though, just thought it best to state what I know. If someone recommended you to them, then perhaps the person has more information and a link within the hospital.

I still think your best bet is a government institution but whatever you decide is fine. At least there should be a doctor to say the next course of action. That, I feel is the most important step at this point. Drfinn might be able to link you with doctors in LUTH.

DJDOLA, I am so sorry about this current situation you have found yourself in. It will end in praise by God's grace.

The pictures you have put up are enough to show that this is not a scam. Now we need targeted efforts in order to turn things around.
As much as you feel LUTH has been a waste of time, I do not know of any other hospital that will be able to handle the diagnosis on the picture you pasted. You require specialists. What we need to do is find someone within LUTH who can make the process a lot easier.
We need to know the next steps, what further tests are required and the course of treatment. You can please tell your brother to come online and register an account so he can tell us the next course of action.

Caracta, Declaro well done! You didn't just speak, you acted may God Almighty bless you and yours and keep diseases and sickness far away from you.
All the goodness of this world will be yours in abundance and we will NOT gather to repay you in a similar way in Jesus name.

Here is what BBC says about Nigeria.....

What do you think when you hear the word Nigeria"? The country's reputation has been tarnished by corruption, email scams and Boko Haram - but when it comes to film and fashion, business in Nigeria is booming

I don't know, perhaps my own comprehension get comma.

How is the reported and quoted above an insult?
A reporter mentioned that Nigeria has a tarnished reputation but things are actually booming and you guys bring out the war drums?

Is this some kind of complex problem?

And there you have it folks, the reason why Nigeria is the way it is today is apparent is the first two pages of this thread.
That someone decided to speak about the ills governing his society makes him a hypocrite
Asking him what he has contributed and why he is running away.
Here is the truth guys, people who have things to offer this country cannot stay in this environment. It takes a lot of guts, bucks and tenacity to stay in Nigeria and try to make things work because even if you try to make a change, the naysayers here will be the same set of people saying "your grammar is too much, go and sit down".

When majority of the populace have a rethink from the current way their minds have been programmed to think, technocrats, innovators and many more people who have people to offer will do so.

As things stand, Nigerians (note: not Nigeria) are not worth fighting or breaking your head for.

Politics / Re: Deputy Gov Sends Stinker To Amosun by tollu: 12:36pm On Oct 29, 2014
APContherun:

I like how you guys set different standards for differet people, occassions and parties. The deputy governor isn't complaining about materials things as you claim, he's complaining about what he deserves by virtue of the office he occupies. The office of the deputy governor is provided for in the constitution, the second highest ranking office in the state and so should be well funded and provided for in order for the occupier to function effectively and optimally.
It's rather embarrassing that you support the the flagrant abuse of the rights and office of the deputy governor because of whatever issue you have with him. Accross states governors see themselves as lords and emperors. When Chime in Enugu State engineered the impeachment of his former deputy on flimsy excuse his supporters hailed him as did Tinubu's when he 'sacked' three deputies during his time. It's time governors are made to respect the offices of deputy governors as we respect theirs.

No such thing as "you guys" here. I'm not familiar with Amosun or Adekunle. I just don't understand how a deputy governor can be making such complaints. How did he get to such a level of irrelevance?
Politics / Re: Deputy Gov Sends Stinker To Amosun by tollu: 9:22am On Oct 29, 2014
For Amosun to be delegating duties to a special adviser, one can only assume the deputy governor is not running at Amosun's pace. If he were, he would also be active and in the forefront of stuff not complaining about material things.

Nobody wants to work with dull knives or people that will "gbabode" for you.

Business / Re: Procedures To Get TIN No. From FIRS by tollu: 11:02am On Oct 26, 2014
oneblacboi:
So many misconceptions on this thread! Let me clear the air as an experienced tax consultant that has helped hundreds of companies with this process and other tax related matters.
First of all, a TIN is FREE! To obtain a TIN you have to present your incorporation documents, a completed FIRS taxpayer input form stamped with your official stamp. Note however, as a result o FIRS' unstructured methods of operation, different tax offices may require slightly different documents which may include an application letter.
Secondly, some tax offices would only issue you TIN numbers when you register for VAT and Companies Income Tax hence some extra documents would be required.
Thirdly, according to the tax laws, you should register for VAT six months after commencement of your business otherwise, you would be liable to a penalty of N10,000 for the first month of default and N5,000 for subsequent months. However, a company might have been registered with CAC 20 years ago and might have not commenced business. In this case, the company is not liable to pay any penalty. The tax authorities on the other hand knowing how fraudulent taxpayers can be claiming not to have commenced business whereas they have operations running for years usually require that at least a N10,000 penalty is paid for any company register later that six months ago whether the business claims to have commenced business or not. Once again, this doesn't happen at all the FIRS offices. One FIRS office with this method is the YABA ITO on Murtala Mohammed Road.
Fourth, if for any reason, you are to pay a penalty, never pay cash to a officer rather, always pay through the bank where you would obtain an e-ticket for payment.
Finally, when you register with the tax office, there are certain things now required of you. One of the numerous requirements is monthly filing of VAT returns and other tax payments. For this reason i always advise people to engage the services of a tax consultant as tax is generally like babalawo things. it looks so simple until you get into it and realize there is much more than you bargained for.
I would be happy to answer further questions on this subject matter. However, before you ask a question, ensure you read the entire thread first.
