I like this, thanks for coming on board guys.

@DisGuy
Well, the whole thing is just an idea for now. Would love us to start off with Banjul though, heard it's really beautiful.
No budget, never been to other African countries (bad I know).
Nothing is fixed, all I know for now is that it's time to see other parts of Africa.

@Keystone123
Thanks. Yeah, we'll do emails soon. Let's get to know each other a little bit more

@Dyt
Thanks for the ticketing offer, that'll surely come in very useful. Have you been to Banjul?

Got you @msbaileyz, we'll do emails when the time comes.

The only packages I've come across are on the Wakanow website and also had a live chat with one of their agents. We need to pick places we wanna go and duration before we can get quotations.
We could also try Ewanna7's company, maybe he'll give us NL discount *wink*.
If anybody has suggestions on packages please put em up and I propose we start with Banjul or Kenya. Ojdollars where you at?

Now come on people, there's got to be eople interested in visting places like Banjul, Accra, Cape town and plenty other places. Show interest and let's start making plans towards having positively memorable trips. Make una nor leave me alone for here o
Travel / Re: Travel Section Complaints Thread: Report To Moderators (SOS) by tollu: 1:56pm On Mar 19, 2012
Hi Moderators,

One of you moved this thread www.nairaland.com/894895/touring-africa#10422958 to the travel-ads sub section and I'd like to request for it to be moved back to the main travel section. The thread is not to advertise anything at least not by me.

I set up the thread to meet one of my new year resolutions, which is to see more of Africa and I need to find people of like minds because I'm not interested in travelling alone. So please and please move it back so this can be achieved. Ese o
Travel / Re: Touring Africa- Come Along To South Africa! by tollu: 1:49pm On Mar 19, 2012
Thank you Ewanna7, will look it up soon.

@Justwise or DisGuy
You guys have moved this thread to a section that is not right for it i.e Travel Ads.
The intent of this thread is not to advertise tours but to find people of similar interests in travelling. Placing the thread in this section defeats the purpose. All I can see on the main travel page are immigration related biko move this thread to a relevant place abegi.
Travel / Re: Touring Africa- Come Along To South Africa! by tollu: 12:04pm On Mar 19, 2012
Hi Ewanna7,

Tnx 4 ur response but this one that you have only one post soooo??
Does your company have a brochure, website or some kind of info pack?

Not so keen on facebook.
Or do you have a facebook business page? Would like to view your profile without necessarily adding up each other.
Travel / Re: Touring Africa- Come Along To South Africa! by tollu: 7:57am On Mar 19, 2012
But wait ooo, shebi den dey kill deirselves for Kenya now abi nor be widespread thing? My papa nor hol o make dem nor take us do hostage.

I spoke with someone now and he said usually Nigerians get visas on arrival (30 days) and getting a visa from here isn't a big deal either.
Travel / Re: Touring Africa- Come Along To South Africa! by tollu: 7:49am On Mar 19, 2012
That sounds great!
I will send you an email but we need to keep this thread alive o, it's starting out slow but I know after one ot two trips with pictures and good stories to tell, it'll pick up nicely.

I'm not sure if Kenya is visa free for Nigerians but even if it isn't, getting one shouldn't be tough.

April or May? Then we need to start making plans in earnest. If we can do three trips this year sef.
Will do you a mail in. A bit. Cheers
Travel / Re: Touring Africa- Come Along To South Africa! by tollu: 2:31pm On Mar 18, 2012
Correct!
I'm interested or OJdollars. More information please, like cost and duration. It's a ready made package right? Do you have people interesed already besides me and you?
The Kenya sounds better than SA, never been to SA though.

No Warri blood, na borrowed language. lol

Hi Nairaland people,

Most of my friends are not interested in my plans so here's hoping one will find like minds here. I'm based in Nigeria and want to see as much of Africa as possible this year and subsequent years and was wondering if there are other people in my category.
I'm not a travel agent and have no travel plans or anything set in concrete. I saw some packages on wakanow. This is an attempt to put feelers out there so if you are interested, please drop a note and let's see what we can come up with.

Biko no weirdos ooo cheesy

i don't like the way Mtn and other SA companies operate in nigeria. The siphon nigerians of their cash and transfer all to there country. Mtn don't have any solid structure in Nigeria. Most of there assets are on lease. In 2010 they made over 500 million naira profit with out nigerians enjoying from it. There whole profit was transfered to south africa to develop it. Is also the same with Multi Choice.

500 Million Naira? I laugh
dats just a drop in the bucket for MTN

Paddy me really?he wanted her that much and he didn't take her since and he let her suffer all those pain like really? I still can't think straight,I couldn't sleep last night

This is the saddest part for me, I read one of her descriptions once and it struck me that she must have been going through a WHOLE lot of pain, the kind that cannot even be imagined. Having your bones so tense that they fracture without you falling or anything? Damn that's insane.

So for me, I see her as not having to go through that kinda pain ever again and who knows what quality of life she woulda had after that UBTH treatment? Those people know next to nothing about common cases how much more somthing of this nature?
I dont care what took her whether na God decide say hin wan carry am go after all that suffering, all I know is she's at rest now and if truly there's heaven in the biblical sense of the word, then I can rest assured that she's there right now cos she was close to God towards the end.

It is well.

I can only hope OP and his girlfriend have been to a hospital for complete evacuation.

And yes I'm all for legalised abortion as well, not all pregnancies are a result of unprotected sex, what if the condom broke without your knowledge?
Plenty girls will still come online, see the name of this drug and get it even to abort pregnancies above 10 weeks just because they cannot get it done safely at the hospitals and also cannot keep the baby.

Dear Perx,

I cannot begin to imagine the pain you are going through. I fell flat on my face at work yesterday and bruised part of my body and it's been horrible and it's not up to 1/50th of what you must be going through.

Happy Birthday dear, the Lord is your strength and you will overcome.

“Last Friday, while driving to Redemption Camp, my son asked me where we were going, I said Redemption Camp, then he asked if we were going to see Jesus, I said yes, then he screamed and said that means we would see Simi. I went cold. Because we had told him earlier that Simi went to be with Jesus.”

This is heart-breaking. cry

edoyad:

Two years and seven months. At that age i doubt i was allowed to leave my mother's lap not to mention even going to school on a bus. I'm sorry but I think the parents have to take some blame here, cos that age to me is just not right.

I'm not sure about the parents taking blame for the death of their child but I agree that really 2yrs is too too young for school unfortunately, she probably started going to school even earlier than that.

Maybe it was negligence, maybe not but unfortunately again this could have happened to anyone. The mother too might have been late for work in the morning and waved her daughter a hurried goobye without waiting to see if she has moved safely away from the car. Meanwhile the poor girl's skirt could have been caught in the door.
It's so sad and one can only hope we've taken lessons away from this.
I have learnt to always watch kids move safely away from vehicles.

People die needless and freakish deaths everyday, Lord, please keep us.
