@aribisala! Talktimi is right about ur style of debate! I also told u earlier that you have so schooled your mind to 'hate Jonathan at all cost'! Since you appear to know everything let me leave you in your 'wisdom'! You sure do av a weakness (I-Know-It-All-Attitude) work on it! cool

aribisala0: Also we can conclude the same about all those states where kidnapping is now a way of life. No ?
Now u are coming home! No, you don't have to conclude on that but the fact is; the gross ineptitude displayed by governors in the areas of securities of lives and properties in every state leaves a lot to worry about! Are u aware that the gov of New York played a major role b4 the Sept 11 attack in Manhattan?
Politics › Re: North Ready To Chase Jonathan Out Of Power In 2015 - Arewa by tomakint: 11:01pm On Jan 07, 2013
@aribisala u are one hell of a man! I can't remember where I indicated in my post that govs are to combat boko haram! This is just simple english, boko operates in the physical world not in d spiritual undecided govs are given certain funds to take care of lives and properties in their respective states, boko operates in few of the states if a serving gov put into good use these security votes boko activities would have been history by now because there will b no 'nest for them to roost'! r u ok?

kodewrita: 1) Yes ajami is definitely a hausa INNOVATION.
2) I am Yoruba as earlier mentioned.
3) You are painting a wrong image of us here. Only the misguided ones among us (the lunatic fringe) are swayed by the kinds of arguments being made here. Most yorubas are too busy with making the money to care whats on it. If you are so concerned about it, why dont you find out what it means?
What exactly is ur point!
Politics › Re: Why Do We Still Have The Arabic Inscription On Our Higher Currency Notes? by tomakint(op): 2:54pm On Jan 07, 2013
The crux of the matter is, 'Nigeria is not an Islamic State' why still having the inscription on our higher denominations is that not a sign of arrogance and self-centredness from our northern brothers?

@aribisala, u are stil missin some valid points! Comparing Jonathan's 2 yrs to Obj's 8 and Yar'Adua's 3 and half, who fared better? Pls I need ur response! Let me clear ur confusion on d security votes issue I raised, Govs are chief securities officers of their respective states, if the securities votes alloted to their offices were judiciously used, do u think boko haram and other securities challenges in d country wouldn't have been curbed? You just want to lump everything on Jonathan! cool
Politics › Re: Reps Move To Curb Cbn’s Supervisory Role by tomakint: 12:52pm On Jan 07, 2013
Thank God 2014 is just around the corner so that the bigot (SLS) would have completed his heinous reign at the echelon of the Apex Bank! Sanusi was purely a square peg in a round hole in that exalted position all what he did while their is just to wield to himself financial muscles in order to prepare himself for either the Senate or Presidency (mark my words)! Sanusi is a certified psychopath! cool

aribisala0: In films life is that simple in reality it is a different ball game. Let him COW BOKO HARAM first.
Why are u stil into sly digs against the person of Jonathan? It is clearly written all over u that you dislike him with a class! When u are sayin Jona should cow boko haram, then what happens to the security votes alloted to d govs of those states? Boko Haram is a creation of d northern elite class and to an extent Jona tried his best which paid off in d real sense!
yeah, but putting the inscription in the three major languages using what script?

give me example using one of the languages.
I am talking of the way it was done on our #5, #10, #20 and #50! For instance, our #50 have the following; Naira Hamsin, Naira Iri ise and Aadota Naira why can't they do such on the higher denominations? My point!
Politics › Re: Why Do We Still Have The Arabic Inscription On Our Higher Currency Notes? by tomakint(op): 7:45am On Jan 07, 2013
@ Negro Ntns, thanks a great deal for that elaborate and insightful post from you! I have confirmed before now that even an Arabian will find it difficult to interprete the inscription, that's why I was curious! If Nigeria is not an Islamic State, why not expunge the inscription off our naira and follow the pattern on the lesser notes where the inscriptions were done in the three major languages!

Family › Do You Believe Marriage Is Meant To Be For Life? by tomakint(op): 1:34am On Jan 07, 2013
A sage once said, "To marry once is a duty, twice is folly and thrice is madness"! In the religious cycles and few cultures, marriage is considered a sacred institution that is meant to be for life but considering our contemporary times one can almost conclude that all those sacredness attached to marriage have mostly been dumped in the trash can of history! As for me I believe marriage should be for life between two enduring partners, what is your take on this?

Food › Which Ethnic Group Eats The Dog Meats Most? by tomakint(op): 1:19am On Jan 07, 2013
Dog meat is a delicacy not to be joked with by some people, infact a daily consumption is a must!. Ondo, Kaduna, Akwa-Ibom, Calabar, Warri are few places I know they eat them! Dogs to me, are one of if not the best animal faithful to humans and yet some people eat them at will! Looking at how they are killed for food preparation is enough to make dog lovers conclude that those who eat them are 'wicked'! It is generally accepted that the meat have medicinal properties, what are your views?

ezeagu: Why?
You sef wonder why I am curious because where the Arabic Inscription was placed tells you there is more to it than the ordinary! Besides, it's the same with what you have on the #100, #200 #500 and the question still comes, WHY?

Politics › Why Do We Still Have The Arabic Inscription On Our Higher Currency Notes? by tomakint(op): 12:15am On Jan 07, 2013
I remembered vividly during Charles Soludo's time as the Nation's Central Bank Governor he was asked to remove those Arabic signs from our currency notes since Nigeria is not an Islamic State! He succeeded in removing it from our lesser denominations (#5, #10, #20 and #50) while the higher ones (#100, #200 and #500) still bear the strange Arabic inscriptions! One thing puzzling about these Arabic signs is that we are yet to be told (by Islamic scholars) the meaning of the inscriptions.

Etumgbe: Ask forbes magazine
We don't need Forbes to tell us who the richest Nigerian is, Dangote is the richest on paper but realistically, he is not! IBB, SS govs, and few politicians have more than Dangote, afterall Obj made Dangote who he is today by granting him the sole producer of sugar, salt and later cement!

Why are u like this man? Abokis raped d country for 38 yrs, Jonathan 2 yrs in office has seen improvements in power supply, roads, foreign investments, electoral processes, and u and I know that d spate of insecurities was as a result of the hard-heartedness of the animals (abokis) we shared dis country with just because a Christian,Niger Deltan is there!
