basher: What is wrong with you? Do you expect everyone to like the song? Do you think your silly comments or likes will influence the perfomance of the song in the market/charts negatively or positively?

Meanwhile, if dbanj himself happens to stumble on this thread, don't you know that it is the critizing comments that he'll concentrate on to see if he could adjust himself for improvement? Do you think he has time for faceless NL azz-kissers? I'm sure he has more than enough azz-kissers in real life!!

Team Dbanj ko, team mavin ni; go and get a life!!
@Basher, you for ask them how many copies there 'Oliver Twist' don sell despite the media hype perhaps the song don hit certified gold, platinum perhaps the highly rated 'diamond status'! I don't know what's wrong with all these clowns. Tuface has been representing and he is still doing it with class, yet he is not under any big label so to say!

funky medina: Shame no dey catch una? It is the speakers fault, oh! na ur bandwidth cause am , infact na dr dre headset you need . Wack is Wack!! and nothing can save it !! I have a quad-core gaming desktop with correct headset in a country were the speed of the bandwidth will spin ur head and still.... naija rihanna fall hand !
The funniest part is that these 'Dbanj freaks' thought palm wine tappers and cattle rearers are the ones frequenting this place, if you listened to the song over and over again you will still hear the usual 'Iam d'banj' 'the low grunt (hmnnn)' and the usual funny and unnecessary antics from him he was even trying to sound westernized (its not even jelling) and the likes! Well kudos to Dbanj for churning out another nursery rhymes to his teeming fans undecided. Man you have said it all, wack is wack!!!

funky medina: just trying to make these omo craze people work hard for thier moneyy. Good songs sell themselves! you dont need an army of jobless ants to spam the forum saying how wonderful a very wack song is! Oliver twist is old and needs a junior one , if dbanj cant do it , the recycle bin of music history is calling him
That is too convoluted for babies in the house to understand, for now let me just stay at the sidelines and be grinning at 'clowns'

NYSC › Re: Pastor Tunde Bakare's son & NYSC commandant trade slaps in NYSC Ondo camp by tomakint: 12:06pm On Dec 13, 2012
brownlord: Bro no body slap anybody, and it was not even the commandant ( captain ) but lower officer, it was the TBJ that pushed him, and the issue ws resolved immediately, the soldiers in tht camp r extremely nice, because they said the previous batch had a protest because they where intimidated by the military men inside the camp and as such the former commandant was changed before the new set of corpers came in camp, so the soldiers where just been careful
Is this a confirmed story you are giving me now? How come Linda reported this the way she did (Naija blogsites could be misleading attimes) Ok undecided

Webmasters › Building A Lasting And Working BLOGSITE! by tomakint(op):
Before embarking on the business of making money through your blogsite seek advice from few experienced bloggers. Make sure your concentration is not on money but the richness of your blogsite through the content. It must be valuable (catch the fancies of the visitors), relevant (must meet their various needs) and entertaining. These three factors should form the basis of your blog which later on can attract the vision of turning your blogsite into money-making ventures. Rich, great contents will definitely give room for a steady flow of readers and search engine traffic that advertisers will also value. The contents can be in the form of articles, photos, videos or podcast, all these combined to form a solid foundation for a beginner in the business of money-spinning blogsite. You can attract more traffic by connecting your other signed-in social media such as; twitter, facebook, google+ and stumble. Once your foundation is solid enough, you can start making your cool money.

A blog that does not have a solid basis of great content is unlikely to stand the test of time as the level of your readership will gradually fall, hence you see yourself dropping out of business. A little drop of water makes the mighty ocean is what they say. When you start, you need to establish some droplets of water around, which you believe in the long run, will make the mighty ocean you have been dreaming of. Take for example, if part of your blog section is devoted to “your travel experiences” try to pep it up so that readers who share your passion will always find it worthwhile to visit from time to time. It could be the people you met, photos you took, animals you saw, funny things that happened to you. Preferably, always look for stories that will put your readers first, see how you can be of help to their many challenges. At best, be a problem-solver!

If your blog is in different sections, support these sections with “relevant sites” that will solve their problems or challenges. This type of arrangement helps a lot in building traffic. Contextual Ads and Google Adsense are two of the best way of making money on your blog. Of course, Contextual Ads are small text adverts that are automatically generated on your blog based on positions you’ve set it up in advance through Google Adsense. Contextual Ads however fair better with a blog that has a reasonable daily traffic, say like 500 visitors per day. Contextual Ads work fine and at its best on sites where there is a large proportion of search engine traffic and not so well on sites that rely more on social media or direct traffic. Be assured that, contextual ads work best inside the post rather than in the sidebar – this is because the advert can be more relevant to the content being read as it will pick up on more specific keywords. The best placement is higher up rather than lower and to the left rather than the right. To attract patronage, your contextual ads must have a unique blend of placement, fonts colour etc. You can build your profile online as a writer be it on any topics you have developed. So many sites are looking for potential writers and you can make cool money through this. If writing is your passion, then one can move on to more financially viable paid writing assignment.

How Does Google Make Money?

• Advertising: On the surface, a search engine, no matter its popularity, doesn’t seem like the most profitable of ventures. You type in your query, hit enter and then find your results without payment. The often overlooked money making machine for google is advertising which allows google to make its profits off its sites and other sites that participate in Google’s advertising schemes.
• Sponsored Links: You may not notice it, but when you perform a search in Google, sponsored links appear on the right side of the screen. These are advertisers that make a business agreement with google in order to get their ads displayed alongside the results of the most appropriate searches. That way, people searching for used cars may find people selling cars with the sponsored links.
• Search Results: In contrast to other search engines, the sponsored links are never displayed with the other results that your search turns up. Certain search engines take money from websites so that when those websites come up in search results, they appear higher up on the results than other non-paying websites. Google refuses to do this and instead puts the ads alongside the rest of the results, clearly setting them aside as “sponsored links.”
• AdWords: Google uses an Adwords system that allows a potential advertiser to specify the search terms she would like to specify as the words that, when searched, will display her ads. A flower shop in Chicago, for example, could have a keyword that involves the city in which it does business and type of business, such as “Chicago Florist.”
• AdSense: Because of the immense popularity of Google, plenty of customers that want to advertise on the grand frontier that is the Internet. When people pay for these advertisements that is where Google makes the lion’s share of its money. Website owners can also sign up for Google’s AdSense program, which includes ads on the website that are contextually relevant. When visitors click on them, all parties make money.
• A Win-Win-Win Situation: Although the idea of making money off of a search engine can be difficult to understand, it all lies in advertising, which allows everyone to benefit. Those who advertise get increased business patronage, and Google gets the money from their payments. Consumers who search for certain products may find it easier to find what they are looking for by using the sponsored links than to pore through all of the results, so it is a win-win-win situation.
7 Must-Haves When Starting Your Site
The joy of putting your site out there for the whole world to see is one, the other is how to draw a reasonable number of visitors to your new site and that is what we are going to consider below;

About Page: Make an introductory page where you explain about your project and yourself.

Contact Page: Make a page where people can get in touch with you.

Create a Sitemap: Your sitemap lists all the posts and pages that are accessible for search engines to crawl and index. Basically having a sitemap helps Google and other search engines send your traffic. I usually use Google XML Sitemaps plugin to create a sitemap.

Install Google Analytics: Google Analytics is a useful tool to track and analyse your visitors. It provides you data to see where they find your content and how they like it.

Add the URL to Google Webmaster Tools: Webmaster Tools is useful to track the progress of your site in search engines and also for Google to provide you with feedback on what you can improve. One of the first things I do there is to verify my URL and submit the sitemap.

Create Social Media Profiles: Create profiles on Twitter, Facebook and/or any other social media platform where your target audience is. Make sure to link back to your URL from the profiles and vice versa.
Write Your First Post: Then write the second one. Then the third one. The content is everything so you must start building lots of content that attracts visitors. Always have it at the back of your minds that your first post might be negatively received and attacked, don’t despair keep posting you will hit it big if you do not relent.

Health › Abortion: When Is It Right Or Wrong? by tomakint(op): 3:33pm On Dec 11, 2012
The rate at which abortion is going on in the world, one would wonder how come the world’s population was able to achieve its current over 7 billion status in 2011. There have been many debates on the moral justifications or immoral tendencies of this social plague in our societies. Looking at Nigeria for instance, there is no way one can arrive at a reasonable statistics on the rate of abortions, because of the series of ways ladies can get rid of unwanted pregnancies! Anti-Abortionists believe the unborn babies have a right to life irrespective of the mental and financial preparedness of the mothers, they argue that terminating such embryos is a great crime against a defenseless human and hence such acts should be sanctioned. On the other hand, Pro-Abortionists are of contrary views, they argue that it will be a great disservice to the mother to bring a child she cannot cater for into the world, that it is more evil to bring a child into the world with no means of supporting the needs of the yet-to-be-born babies. They went further that a lady raped for instance and in the process became pregnant have every right to abort such pregnancies because the sexual acts committed against her was against her wish and the accuser was not her husband or boyfriend, hence, no mutual consent between the two parties. Well, having giving these two schools of thoughts, I have come to realize that in as much as each party have raised some substantial points on this issue, it is important we put into deeper considerations the moral justifications (that is, in as much that we have a right to life we should not deny others their own rights especially when they are defenseless) and the attendant effects of such actions taken when issues of this magnitude comes up for debates. My Point!

TV/Movies › What Is Your Favourite T.V Commercials? by tomakint(op):
What Is Your Favourite T.V Commercials?
I will forever relish the qualities, message deliveries and melodies of music of commercials in the 80s and mid 90s on Nigerian Televisions from Eko Bank (the particular one featuring Nobert Young where he sang along with a lady, “the bank for quality banking, the style of Excellency in all all things…..”) to the now defunct UBA tunes, “bank wisely with UBA, the wise choice in banking……..U.B.A”, it was qualities, concordant tunes galore. I remembered then when my favourite commercial is on, my younger brother would scream my name and shout, ‘Milo gba gba gba gba gba gba Milo” it was real fun in those days while growing up. However, my all time favourites were two; the first was the milo commercials of the late 80s to early 90s and the second was the gold lager beer (I am a teetotaler) commercials of the early 80s then where two giants ‘Gold Lager Beer’ bottles were dancing in a club and one after the other each bottle gradually changes into a man and a woman digging it in the club, it was waostic way back then, what a reminiscence!
