Take a minute and imagine A world without islam
I am just imagining a world without Islam in this contemporary times, what a sweet world that would be! Imagine the Jihad launched by Dan-Fodio on northern Nigeria in 1802 and now see the off-shoots now; pure bestiality!
Politics › Re: ACN Loses Another LG Seat to the PDP In Lagos by tomakint: 7:18am On Nov 23, 2012
Take it or leave it, the future is very bleak politically for ACN in Lagos State. Fashola may just be the last governor from ACN to hold fort! Tinubu high-handedness in the area of power and money is the party's undoing right now, the earlier they know, the better! cool
Well marriage is supposed to be based on Love and all the other stuff but sometimes some people do it out of convinience and that's their choice. It's not like they are breaking any rules or anything
I concur with you here, especially in the area of 'convenience' some guys can damn the consequences of their actions if money is involved. cool
Romance › Guys Can You Marry A Slowpoke If Her Dad Offers You N2 Million? by tomakint(op): 3:36am On Nov 23, 2012
I used to know a wealthy family at Adeniyi Jones in Ikeja, Lagos way back in 2005! The man has an imbecilic daughter who happens to be a graduate and the only child, knowing fully well the danger of not being able to betroth her to a man while he is still alive decided to bankroll the wedding and in addition give any man willing to marry her N2 million! I find that method wrong because to me Marriage should be between two willing adults! Guys if you find yourself in this situation will you or not?

maclatunji: What they mean is: "low sugar content added outside of the main ingredients of malted drinks". If you sue for deceptive advertising, you will lose.
Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware).
Thanks for the eye-opener, I even confirmed that 'schweppes' and 'guinness stouts' contain more sugar than any other softdrinks and beer made in Nigeria because of their quinine and malt contents respectively!
Politics › Re: Nigerian Economy Not Growing - Sanusi by tomakint: 9:49am On Nov 21, 2012
It's a pity many NLs are falling for this Funky Mallam's ''game of wits'! Forget all those lame statistics, Jonathan is working! The question should have been, How is the CBN (the nation's financial heartbeat) fairing under a Sanusi? He coyly introduced the economy-draining N5000 notes to placate the legislative arm of govt in order not to have his 'autonomous power stripped', he is nursing a political ambition from the north angle, NL beware! Sanusi is more dangerous than he appears!Psychopath!

Trying hard to sound smart just to draw unwary members of the public to their 'chameleonic netwok' that act like 'paramole' almost every day undecided You hear response like, 'the number you are calling is not available now please try again later' despite the person u are calling is in the same compound where you are probably the next flat! shocked MTN, Airtel and Etisalat should double up on their voice calls services instead of this lame 'Internet packages' or else.....
Romance › Does True Love Still Exist Among Mortals? by tomakint(op): 3:01am On Nov 21, 2012
I am just wondering at the topic above! Can it be said among us humans if true love still exists between husbands and wives, lovers, among friends, family members, siblings, colleagues at the office, students, Pastors to congregation, leaders to the led, bosses to the employees etc. I have a believe it is still existing but have been reduced to an infinitesimally number, hence, extremely scarce and this ought not to be! Any useful and more insightful contributions?
Who is spiritually monitoring you? Are you Bipolar? What is this Mr? Which kind dirty cobweb is that? His house is dirty, shikena. If not, he needs to see yaba left. Are you following me on NL? You go taya o. grin. Leave the issue of one thread alone and stop nagging.
Baby, the issue at stake does not require you baring your teeth, it's a serious spiritual case! Entangling in cobwebs in strange places like in an open space in a street is not good spiritually!
TV/Movies › The Good Old Days: Mind Your Language VS Second Chance! by tomakint(op): 2:33am On Nov 21, 2012
One was a British sitcom, Mind Your Language; and the other was a Nigerian version of it, Second Chance where Madam Kofo held sway! Both sitcoms were staged in a classroom of an average teacher trying to blend in semi-average students of different cultural backgrounds or countries (for the British version) and ethnicities (for the Nigerian version) to have an understanding of the English Language! It was fun those days on NTA 2 Channel 5, rib-cracking display by the various actors were must seegrin

Pakavy: few ladies appreciate sweet words these days,as long as u can spoil her with money u can call her deviant names 4 all she cares
U can't prove the above statement! Real ladies will never take gutter languages from guys, irrespective of how well you might have spoilt her, get it? If she's a gutter babe, anything goes

Dreystar: How is being fat an offense? And why is "you are fat" offensive/abusive huh
The topic is targeted towards guys to be careful in their choice of words to ladies! If you are fat as a lady you will understand better. Ladies naturally loved being pampered, but detest being addressed abusively, exactly the aim of this thread

Sweet memories, good one @Op for digging this up! Okin biscuit (the round one) was thick and mouthful way back in the 80s, then pako biscuits and Nasco brands were just the reigning biscuits then! What a nice memory you just dug out slimyem!
