Dear OP,
Your story sounds like a scripted thing....one for movies! Anyway, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
1. The no TV and No Fridge in house guy.
If the tables are turned and he acquires those things, would you marry him?
2. Yes? You would? So you would marry him because of material possessions?
3. Don't you ever think both of you can really work together towards acquiring TV and Fridge? Or other valuables?
4. Try and seek other motivations to love someone not just materialistic or mundane ones.
5. Fridge, TV, gas cookers, Acs, are necessary but would that really stop someone from considering marriage?
6. What you should be worried about is if he can sustain a family in any way?
7. Even if he may not have a job at the moment, but does he has potentials? Can he sell? Reason along those lines.
8. It's easier to buy "akara" and eat once it's ready but ladies these days would not want to make the akara from beans. It's a tedious process but the end product is cool too.
9. Finally, you've brought them to the table, we've accessed their credentials. Tell us about you. Maybe you're a star! Hence, you want an equivalent. Your type. Think.

[quote author=kahal29 post=91584764]GOVERNOR WIKE'S REPLY TO GOVERNOR UZODINMA WAS CONCOCTED

The attention of the Rivers State Government has been drawn to the news circulating in the Social Media that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State denigrated his Imo State counterpart, Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The purveyors of the deliberate falsehood alleged that Governor Wike replied Governor Uzodinma over a recent statement where he allegedly boasted that "the All Progressives Congress (APC) will teach the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Wike how to conduct a transparent election in the forthcoming Edo State gubernatorial election."

The concocted story only existed in the imagination of the authors and so there was also no disparaging comment by Governor Wike.

Members of the public are hereby advised to discountenance all the information contained in the said publication as they did not emanate from Governor Wike.

What of the part he said Uzodinma is supreme court governor who rode to power from the back door? Has he denied that too?

They still will link Asiwaju to any news. Sometimes I wonder those who shout bullion vans if they are not mischievous or just plain stupid. If u take Asiwaju to court. Did u see the contents of the vans? Do you know how much were in the vans assuming it was money? Is there a law against banks transporting 5million in bullion vans? Assuming he says that's what it was. Really how the bullion van and Asiwaju is tied to Magu travail just bests my imagination everytime I read it. Some people just don't get tired.
Look at the bigger picture my friend. It's to discredit him. Run down his reputation and make him unmarketable prior to 2023. In politics the court of public opinion counts. Besides, one can claim it's to buy votes. Why bullion vans on election day? Think.

This st.upid Abike again. She will be occupied with happening outside the country and hardly react when it happens in her own country.

Someone was raped dead in Benin and Ibadan church, no reactions from her.

I pray justice is done in all cases but this woman hypocrisy is second to none. Very i.d.iotic.

Some m.o.rons are already defending her that she is only concerned with Abroad affairs forgetting that the whole world protested black lives matter even when George was killed in USA. This is not to talk of somebody's country where two ladies were raped dead.

I Totally agree. I didn't think it through that line.
doncheks:

Let me ask you. Who are the Beneficiaries of this compensation, his family right?

Now you see, a call to public service is a call to serve. Public servants were know to live modest lives after service.
But in our time, it has become an opportunity to enrich oneself and amass stupendous wealth.
If Abiola won the election and was not declared Winner, the real losers are the masses who were robbed of their vote and not his family. The same thing is going on today in the form of rigged elections.
Who will compensate all the victims of rigged elections
Who will compensate all those who innocently lost their lives in senseless boko haram killings because the state was unable to provide security.
Who will compensate the millions of youths who are jobless today because the money that was allocated for economic growth was stolen by those that hijacked their votes.
Who will compensate the unborn children that will suffer hardship because of the greediness of their ancestors.

The best thing our leaders can do to compensate us is to right the wrongs:

Govern us well.
Give us the opportunity to pick our leaders.

Nigeria will be great again.
Politics / Re: Edo: Why We Disqualified Obaseki, Ogiemwonyi, Iduoriyekemwen ― APC Panel by tomju(m): 6:49pm On Jun 13, 2020
oz4real83:
that should have been the duty of the party or screening committee. The purpose of screening aspirants is to rectify any issues before it gets to the public or before the election. Under normal circumstances, the party should have told Obaseki to go and correct his name or if possible submit only waec certificate as a fulfilment of the constitution and leave out any higher qualification. PMB submitted only an affidavit as evidence. He had other military qualifications which he didn't add to avoid stories that touch. These are pre-election matters that every party should be able to correct but the party thought otherwise.
Very correct
Politics / Re: Edo: Why We Disqualified Obaseki, Ogiemwonyi, Iduoriyekemwen ― APC Panel by tomju(m): 8:14am On Jun 13, 2020
oz4real83:
Everything the committee accused Obaseki of, Oshiomole was also guilty of during his first and Second elections but nobody disqualified him. He had issues with his name, he had Adams Aliyu Oshiomole in some credentials and Adams Aliu Oshiomole in others. He also had issues with his academic qualifications, some claimed he was just a certificateless tailor without even a primary school leaving certificate! But he was never disqualified even though his party wasn't the ruling party at the federal level. He was given an opportunity to use the instrumentality of the courts to defend and clear himself. PMB also had same issues. He had "Mohammed" in some cases and "Muhammadu" in others. There were also doubts about his academic qualifications but he was never disqualified based on these. This is what Oshiomole is denying Obaseki now, justice. It is very obvious, he is acting a preplanned agenda. The battle line has been drawn, we can only watch and see and enjoy ourselves with the movies that are about to play out and it won't be funny on the APC if they don't give equal opportunity to all aspirants , I can assure u that.
The constitution says WAEC or its equivalent. He has the equivalent! Work experience! He has been governor. Automatically, he is qualified. The only thing is that he shouldn't have submitted that HSC alone. He should have regularised his NYSC. Even a mere letter to NYSC urging them to correct the typo error in his name, would do. Especially, when he has an acknowledgement copy from NYSC that his letter was received.
Personally, I treasure loyalty. I may not particularly like the way he fought Oshimhole. Simple reason is that he brought you. That loyalty is important. When many people are qualified for an office, yet you are foisted on the people as the best candidate forcefully, eventually when push turns to shove, will the same people you "rode on" to power support your ambition again?
He who pays the piper detects the tune. If you want to be your own man, and take your own decisions. Then sponsor your elections and say no to Godfathers. If you can get the people behind you, then its uhuru for you. But in Nigeria right now, that may be an uphill task.
