Politics / Re: Amotekun: Juniad Mohammed Warns Of Imminent Civil War by tomju(m): 11:18am On Jan 23, 2020
Arrewa:
As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think this amoketun issue is being hypocritically blown out of proportion to expand hatred for other tribes especially the Fulanis. Why must we Christians be the brain behind the vast support for Amotekun when the Nigerian constitution is clear about the roles of the armed forces and police in the security of the country? Why must we form an ethnic militia to target fellow Nigerians when the constitution guarantees freedom of movement and doing business nationwide as long as we are Nigerians? What we fail to realize is that the south east cheering on Amotekun sees its as a synonym for their biafra agitations and they will rather support anything that will disband the relative peace and unity of Nigeria. The IPOB sympathizers will be the one to cry wolf when Amotekun starts targeting their tribesmen who commits various crimes in the south west. MURIC recently condemned the killing of a CAN pastor and sympathized with we Christians, how many Christians will condemn the killing of an imam or Muslims? Instead we rejoice when tragedy strikes them forgetting we are all humans before religion. Instead of emulating our Muslim brothers who have remained silent on this issue of Amotekun, we Christians are disturbing the cyberspace with hypocritical comments. Amotekun will never see the light of the day as long as we remain one Nigeria. It's a bad policy and a tribalistic security outfit aimed at persecuting other Nigerians. On behalf of we Christians, i condemn Amotekun. Let's learn to live in peace and harmony

FIrstly, your submissions above has nothing to do with your being a "born again" christian...whatever that means! Secondly, the constitution does not stop communities from protecting herself! Why do people build fences around thier houses, inside an estate that is already fenced round and very secure? Like Park View in Lagos, VGC, Omole estate, Pinnock etc. Why? Protection. Every state has the right to devise a means to protect herself especially when the "federal security architecture" seems to fail or is failing. Ofcourse, one may frown at the fact that federalism does not allow regional autonomy et al, but when fundamental human rights are involved, that is second place.-right to life and protection of your property is a fundamental human right even acknowledged by several UN charters and conventions. If my government cannot guarantee that right per time, are you saying I should fold my hands until "they" come and kill me? Like the "Fulani herdsmen" were alledged to assasinate the daughter of an APC chieftain in the west along Benin Akure road? How can that happen under community policing? Are you aware that in every community they know who is legitimate and who is not? Even in the area you live, are you saying you can't tell who has questionable character and who is straight forward? Armed robbers have wives and kids, their kids live among us, some are known but people are afraid to tell the police hence reprisals from their gangs. How do you think the Police do their jobs? From credible intelligence. Or "informants" as widely known. What Amotekun is, is intelligence gathering for the security agencies. It is what Hisbah Police is. Take a look... Kano- Hisbah Police, Katsina-Hisbah Police, Kaduna-Vigilante Service, Nasarawa-Hisbah Police, Zamfara-Yankasa, Taraba- Taraba Mashals,Sokoto- Yambanga, Ebony- Ebonyi neigbourhood watch group, Rivers- Rivers government neigbourhood safety corps, Benue- Benue livestock guards, and you are complaining of Amotekun? Where was the AGF when these mushrooms security outfit sprang up? Why are they afraid? That means they had plans...plans that they can invade these communities in the west at anytime and carry out their nefarious activities. Do you understand that some men cheat? Even some married men at that cheat, yet they may threaten to kill someone if they found out that their wives cheated on them. Look at it objectively and hollistcally if you like, is it fair? You cheat yet you frown when I cheat. If indeed cheating isn't good then lets not cheat, but if it i, then let us all cheat equally, simple. I deliberately brought in the cheating analogy to drive home my point. That said, I do not and would never subscribe to that way of life, but truth must be told. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. The blame is also on the Federal government! How? By allowing sectarian ideologies to gestate in the first place. 1. Introduction of Sharia in most Northen states. 2. Introduction of Community policing like Hisbah etc. 3. No clear framework on the modus operandi of these privately funded but public agencies. 4. Failure of the Police to "adequately" secure lives and properties. The list is not exhaustive. Speaking about which? Are you aware that Hisbah police can come to your shop and cart away alcoholic beverages? Even though you may be a christian? Where is the right to live anywhere in the country and practice your faith as enshrined in the constitution? The west is saying, okay let us also set up a similar agency like Hisbah and protect our communities, difference is that they didn't do it discretly but with pomp and pageantry....but you should know that Yorubas generally are "show men", they like showmanship and there is nothing wrong with that. I am even planning to go to Akwa Ibom and encourage my folks there to also set up a network of community Policing with Cross River, Abia, Rivers and Bayelsa in tow. That way we can all the "protected" or atleast have a false sense of protection. Lastly, i am a christian. I will never rejoice when anyone is murdered or killed irrespective of his religion. When Jesus walked the earth, he went to the house of Zaccheaus a famous tax collector and a "sinner"- tax collectors then were known to cheat and extort people. Some of the Jews especially the Pharises frown at such association.....take a listen to what Jesus replied.... "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:9-10) I rest my case.

You have to wait for her to return and summon you. If she doesn't then she probably have decided to let it go. If she does, you just apologise. Personally, I see no offense there. Pictures are posted for memories and compliments. It does not really matter who compliments us. All this divisions and sub divisions in life is a human creation. I'm this I'm that. He is not in my class etc. God created them male and female. Before you claim to be anything, firstly, you must remember you are human. Either Male or Female. Nothing more......or maybe something inbetween like Bob Risky.

Someone just told me these poultry chickens don’t fvck but they lay eggs continuously for a period of time. shocked shocked

How true is this?

When I was little I do see male hen chasing a chicken around, after which the male hen will pin the chicken down and slide in from the back. The thing will just slide in for like 2 to 4 seconds and it’s out. grin After which the chicken will lay eggs after a period of time.

So what kinda biological advancement will make a chicken lay eggs without getting laid??

Educate me!!!
The feed they get, layers mash is responsible for laying of eggs without a cock. In poultry farming you have over 5000 birds laying eggs. How many cocks do you see in the poultry? None!! Yet they lay thousands of eggs daily.

seunmsg:
In as much as I condemn the illegality of dissolving elected councils and replacing them with caretaker committees that are unknown to law, I must also state that the AGF doesn’t have the power to issue directive to the governor on the matter. At best, he can offer his legal opinion on the matter and nothing else. The right thing is for the lawfully elected council members to institute legal action against the governor.
You are wrong sir. The attorney general has the locus standi to direct state governors to do the right thing. The constitutional provisions are very clear. Every minister is representing Mr President. It is called Delegated Legislation. "The intricacies and complexities of modern government have proved beyond doubt that the delegation of legislative powers to administrative agencies is a compulsive necessity. In no democratic society committed to the establishment of a welfare state, the legislature monopolizes the legislative power. It will be futile for the legislature to solve the ever increasing social and economic problems, unless it shares some of its powers with the executive and other administrative organs of the state." What the attorney gemeral just did is federal government that is doing it. That is not just mere rhetoric but a policy statement. If a man can discontinue a court case (Nolle prosequi) and no one can ask questions what is more? Afterall, the supreme court had ruled inter alia that the state governors cannot dissolve elected council officials.

Prophesy is not football prediction ok and judging from how the prophesy was clearly spelt out to the last detail which came to pass accurately, it can either be a clue given to Mbaka by APC or it is actually from GOD simple!, nothing like prediction here!!
When a prophecy was given about Jesus it came several years before Christ was born! Even the name was known before he was born. Let Mbaka tell us now in 2019 who will be president after Buhari. Let him say it now that no one has declared to run. Waiting.

Education / Re: Amotekun Is Cheetah Not Leopard by tomju(m): 7:41am On Jan 19, 2020
Venerable612:

This is wrong.

First off the name Amotekun has nothing to do physical semblance as such.

It literally translates - “one who knows as Ekun”.

Again, you are wrong that Yoruba doesn’t have a transalation for Tiger - because our fathers didn’t have an encounter with them.

In fact Tiger has two Yoruba names. It could be called OGIDAN or EKUN. That’s why they say this provide - “Ogidan o ni se Barber, ki aja de be lo ge irun”.

And “KAKA KI KINIUN SAKAPO EKUN, OLODE A MAA RODE.“ Mind you Lion in Yoruba is Kiniun. And no one will ever compare a Lion with a Leopard. No animal can stand the Lion grit for grit amongst the Cat Family other than the Tiger; hence, the comparison.

Also, when Yorubas jokingly refer to someone as Ekun - it’s to represent that the person is a Strong man.

Thus,

Lion - Kiniun
Tiger - Ogidan and Ekun
Leopard - Amotekun
Cheetah - Owawa.

Hope this helps.

NO. You are wrong
in Youruba Amotekun means..............................................................see me running away o.
But seriously whether Cat, Leopard,Tiger, Cheetah, Jaguar, Puma, all join! How will OPERATION AMOTEKUN survive to protect the west from security challenges? This is the real issue not just the meaning of the name. Thanks though for enlightening us.
