She's providing information that might be useful, especially for peeps who'd enquired about Accomodation in the Houston area, she's also not mentioned any names just the area, and she's advised interested parties to contact her for further information

Congrats babes

Congratulations favouredmum. You are indeed favoured. God bless you and your Lo. Please share doctors name and contact.... Thanks

favouredmum:

I did a scan but the fee was included in the doctors fee for $1900. I went with all the test I did in Nigeria and all was accepted. Did additional 4 tests which cost $120 for all. I didn't pay anything for first appointment. All I paid the doctor was $1900 for VD. I registered with my doctor at 34 wiks and 5 days.

Kai! Babes cheekiness won't do you any favours
You've got to help yourself I'm afraid, everyone got preggers at some point and hit the thread for info.
Wait and see, until the next person asks the same questions you've just been given an answer to, for not taking the time to read through, and then tell me you don't catch feelings

My dear, if you'd gone through the thread (even the last 5 to 10 pages) you'd find your answers

1. Springsofjoy urbanliving was all over one of those pages for a while

2. MIHS has stopped taken on patients that live outside of their jurisdiction for a while now, you'd know that if you indeed went through the thread as a lot of people have mentioned it

3. Sorry I'm stomped on Colorado

Long and short, go through the pages, it not only makes an interesting read, it has all the information you need and then some.

Good luck

MumTee:
Thank u mumdearest i appreciate.
1) I have contacted Dr Fagbohun via his email i got on this platform, that's why i asked about the nearest accomodation thing cos i remembered someone mentioning the East side accomodation is a bit far or so. Pardon me if i missed any other details.
2) I also found out about MIHS through this platform and contacted them, but when i didnt get a response that's why i decided to ask fellow mum's here.
3) I asked about Colorado cos i have someone there which i might consider if i find something reasonable which i didnt, that prompted my asking on this platform.
I understand how annoying it could be if one ask questions already answered that's why i took my time and thought carefully before asking the few i did. That notwithstanding, lets be polite to each other in our responses; no offence meant to anyone, u never can tell i could become your next door neighbour in no-man's-land. I apologise if any of my questions angered anyone on this platform.

Haaaaa.... It doesn't sound very user friendly. I can't imagine going through labour with an upset stomach... Me thinks I'll be giving the castor oil a pass

ejisky:
Castor oil works I've used it twice. For my first at 40wks + 3 days and second at 39 weeks. Ensure you are at least 39 weeks before you use it. My babies are normal didn't have any effect on them but do your research. What is good for the goose might not be good for the gander...

Please note that its the castor oil that is used as a laxative not the one used for hair o. You can get it in Walgreens if you are in the US. It will make your tummy run and in the process induce labour. All the best.

Lmao... Yes ma'am. I'll try the pineapple (I'm 27 weeks and I've started that one already), walking up a hill and eating a lot of hot food first, before I brave the tea... operation quick, fast and painless labour has been set in motion grin

Beryl15:

Ok, since you've got first hand info on it you can give it a try. I know castor oil induces labour.
But wait till like 39w to try so U know baby is full term just in case.
Waiting for ya testimony grin

At all o... My colleague mentioned it to me and actually swears by it. She said it doesn't induce labour, more like it helps it along.

Beryl15:

Babe are you trying to induce labour? Biko o..
Except you're like 39 weeks already no try am. Haven't used it.

Halos peoples, has anyone heard of or used (or currently using) the raspberry leaf tea/tablets? i heard its quite good for labour but then again there's a lot of mixed reviews online

That's not very nice. Let's be cordial to each other. It's a public forum, all she did was offer her two cents as far as she was aware... Different strokes for different folks

Hi everyone,
This is to give back as i got every info from this wonderful site..i am set to leave for naija next week. I got in thru atlanta in dec, i flew delta. came in with my mum.
I stayed in cypress, and paid 1800 for my entire stay. From dec 11th till date. I had my babyboy on january 27th at mwhh
my doc fee 1600,
circumcision 250,
lab 70,
the hospital 3100..(this covered for my boy's bill at the hospital.
Epidural 750
newborn check up 310 while at the hospital
i had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery.( Glory be to God)
i had one false labour and was billed 93dollars for that.

I got my baby's bc 3days after i had my baby, then got his passport this week monday(same day)thru the passport agency downtown.
Note: you have to show proof of travel within14days.

I just received his passport this morning,i sent it to edwin(edventure) for visa on wednesday it cost me 350 and 90 dollars to mail.

I used dr neal grossman for my baby's 2days and one month check up &hep vaccine and i think it cost me approx 400dollars. I have collected all receipts and zero bals where necessary. I had my 6weeks post natal check up & i paid 30dollars for pap smear test.

Thank you all so much. To those yet to apply for visa, those about to travel, those waiting to pop and those of us about to go back to naija. I wish us all God's unshaking grace.

Hiya, please send details for the accommodation you used. Thank you

Thanks ozycy! Its a private arrangement. Right now its not available because my friend will be taking over when i leave. yes it is less than 15mins to walmart, ross and many other stores. My doc charged 1600. Baby sykes( dr zimmerman) For transportation, i used yellow cab for most of my trips cos the hospital and docs office were also about 15mins from the house. The environment was and is very safe. [/quote]

Hi Nomanii, would you be kind enough to give me details for the accommodation you used. I'm planning to go in September by Gods Grace.

Thanks

Hey hey,

I'm a newbie on here, only 9weeks pregnant and due in October. Thanks to everyone that has contributed on this forum. You're all simply amazing. I've been taking in a lot of information going through this thread. I'm still processing all I've learned and so far have narrowed my options to New Jersey, Houston or Arizona.

All the best to everyone due this month, and to all the expecting mothers. May God see us through and grant us a complications free full term until delivery.... Amen

P/S: anyone due around mid October, intending to fly end of August/beginning of September, and considering New Jersey, or Houston please keep in touch wink
