considering ur age then, i wont blame you. but if you were a mature lady, say about 23yrs and above, i would give you a portion of the blame. though the stupid Dr takes 90% of the blame. but for a 15yr old, i would give the Dr 100% of the blame. he should be in jail for attempted paedophilic manifestations and he should be suspended by the nigerian medical council but u see, he was not reported so no investigation and no punishment.

when i was a student in nigeria, we used to have this maxim about girls that ". . .audience is consideration". meaning that once a girl starts to listen to a toaster it means she is considering him seriously. cheesy b/c a girl that is not interested will not even give an ear to a toaster.
Health › Re: Doctors And Hospitals In Nigeria by toshmann(m): 2:13pm On Apr 21, 2007
any Dr who toasts his patients is irresponsible angry . they are the bad eggs of the profession. no matter how good those Drs are professionally, once a Dr toasts a patient, he is a bad Dr. when people say Drs are womanisers I often ask, did the Dr rape anybody? when girls give them the encouragement to toast. which man, born of a woman, will not follow through a line of encouragement to get a girl he wants?

even if the hospital is Aso rock, the fact is that he is on duty and has no justification whatsoever to toast a patient. Drs toasting nurses aint acceptable (unless he toasts her after work).

anyway, good you ran away. beware of them Drs. who toast on duty.

then he started toasting me, i just listened to him, and looked around his office. i saw a wifey picture of their wedding, i was like what! he continued and wanted to take me out for lunch. as i was leaving he started handling and tapping my backside. i was mad and rushed out. I never went back !!!
why were you listening to him? by listening to him you have encouraged him. you shouldn't have listened to him at all. medical ethics forbids doctors from toasting their patients. the guy had done his duty as a doctor and instead of letting you go he started toasting u right in his clinic. that was irresponsible angry (wether he was married or single it was wrong) and u were very wrong for listening in the 1st place angry
Culture › Re: Would You Marry An Osu? by toshmann(m): 12:52pm On Apr 21, 2007
na wa o, this thread still dey?

i agree with one of the posts here who said that the osu thingy may have been reduced to almost invisible/insignificant levels but when you want to marry it suddenly creeps up again. with or withou ur knowledge, family members go and do investigations about the other persons background.

BTW, thos osf us who have been keeping girlfriends in schools and doing all sorts of things with the girls cheesy , how are we sure of the status of these girls (the igbo ones). b/c they say if u sleep with an osu u become an osu, so what happens to all the sleeping with girls and guys whose caste backround is unknown?

i do believe it will die down. but very gradually. if i have my history right, in the past no one had any business with them, or played with them, or sat next to them etc. now everbody does everything with them-except marriage. so with time it'll fizzle out. infact once or twice some of them have become governors in the east-as i heard. so it'll clear with time.

but, if toshmann should jam a beautiful, intelligent, decent, humble and most importantly rich girl cheesy heheheheeee cheesy i go marry am oooo cheesy i go tell my papa say na mistake grin say she don get belle already grin grin grin osu my foot cheesy instead we go travel go abroad and stay there for life and enjoy ourselves jare. afterall, those wey say dem be free born, how free we dey for naija grin grin grin grin grin

@harnnydarl,
what a pathetic story. but if i may ask, who is this so called best gynaecologist in owerri? i grew up in owerri and i think i may have an idea of almost all the hospitals there.

however, i must add that Drs, and Hospitals in nigeria are part of the general nigerian rot. every good Dr in nigeria wants to go out and practice abroad. let's remember the conditions of our hospitals. as a student in UNICAL, I once went to the teaching hospital and saw a lady being delivered in the labor ward and NEPA struck. the generator had no fuel. the doctors had to work with candle. i've seen doctors setting intraveinous lines at FMC owerri with candle light at night. harnnydarl have u asked why scanning was only tuesdays and thursdays in that clinic u went? the reason may be baffling.

one more thing, people should be wary of private hospitals that they are not sure of the competence of the doctors there. b/c private hospitals are not only for medical treatment, they are also profit oriented. see. so they can do anything to raise funds. be careful.

when it took the intervention of established criminals like Atiku and IBB to protect the nigerian constitution from the powers that be (3rd term apostles) it was obvious that the country was under the leadership of rogues. peter odili is famed as a man who would spend 5 million naira to advertise a 2 million naira road that he has not yet built, Atiku is corruption personified. PDP is university of loot, every elected official runs away after his term, what hope I ask, what hope is there for nigeria?

can sick yaradua stop religious crises? what of the national assembly? can we get another nnamani? thank God for the judiciary. at least there is still somewhere the PDP has yet to infilterate. everbody says option A4 used for june 12 election was the best, yet nobody wants to try that method again.

i'm still crying for what we called election in nigeria. i mourn for my country cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry who will save us now cry cry cry cry cry
Politics › Re: Nigeria's Image Was Badly Damaged On Oprah Today! by toshmann(m): 7:30pm On Apr 19, 2007
i took my time to read this unfortunate thread. and my initial conclusion is that nigerians are so stupid and useless. our image was battered by winfrey's programme and instead of saying something important we resorted to the old nigerian method of mudslinging. ibo vs yoruba vs hausa vs etc. i don't think there are up to 1 million 419ers in nigeria, and i'm talking of a country with at least 140 million people (excluding those living abroad and those at home not counted) that puts the 419ers at significant minority. but the western media uses that to judge the rest of the country.

instead of us to establish the fact that an overwhelming majority of nigerians are decent, we decide to agree with the western media and even go a step further by pointing to a tribe. if 1% of ibos are into 419 and we nigerians bash the whole ibo tribe then the west is right in bashing the whole nigerian nation, and then the west is right in believing that black people are more likely to be crime oriented and black girls prone to teenage pregnancy.

then we justify those who believe young black males are good only for prisons. and for the west, they are justified in believing that africans are incapable of anything positive. after all we've just proved them right with our useless election and another perfect example of black inferiority is south africa, a country that was doing fine in the past ---except for apatheid, immediately black people became free in south africa, with black president, south africa became another name for crime, rape, murder, drugs etc. (this is what a student told me in cardiff uni).

there are over 100 million hard working decent nigerians, nobody talks about them. they are there in every tribe, decent and unassuming. they can't get visa b/c they can't lie, or forge documents or decieve embassy officials. they can't rig elections, they can't shoot at polling stations, they can't have a riot to protest against dictatorship. I weep. but not for them. I weep for the generations yet unborn, and children of these innocent people b/c with the kind of leadership in place in nigeria now, and the stupidity of some nigerians like the type i saw in this foolich thread, my final conclusion is. . . as bad as nigeria is now, the future is going to be worse. call me a pessimist if you like, but i call myself a realist.

cry, the despised country cry
