@debo,
if u read in between the lines of my last post u'll recognise that what i'm saying is not far from what u are saying.
@thief,
if you were an intelligent thief u'll know that i'm not joking. let us forget about the 2nd part of the last sentence of my last post, what else in that post looks like a joke?

for the person whose problems include the right to climb palm wine, can't you see that your fundamental human rights give u the right to climb palm wine tree (if the tree is urs or if the owner of the tree allows u to do so). what are we talking about here. let us concentrate on fundamental human rights which will cover not only women but also other vulnerable groups in a population such as minorities, children(including orphans) immigrant(legal and illegal) refugees, and all those who are underprevileged in the society.

i'll see y'all later, i got a train to catch. i need to see my fiancee(and she's no feminist grin) this night grin

feminism is crap. it is just another unnecessary movt. women are women and men are men. why should we be talking about gender equality and BTW what do you mean by gender equality? men should start sharing pregnancy with women, or men should start sharing the role of breast feeding? or women want to have some balls in a scrotum?

methinks women are human beings and if we concentrate on human rights  and make it efficient it will benefit the women folk. b/c under human rights we have the right of the woman to vote and be voted for, to seek whatever employment she qualifies for, to fall in love and get married, the right to life, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. under human rights the woman will have the right of a say in her marriage, fundamental human rights will protect the woman from Domestiv Violence and other anti women societal cultures such as female circumsicion and early marriage/sex/pregnancy/childbirth------->V V F societal rejection etc. these can and should be fought under tha banner of Human rights. we don't need to create a new movt called feminism which is packed with a high percentage of women with a history of failed marriage(s).

how i wish you could have been here to see those people on tv .
to tell you the truth i was very skeptical about it
but when i saw what he did for 10 days .i changed my mind .
he treats them live .no body else touches them but him
and there was improvements .

so many international media has been swarming the place lately
we are watching. but i've seen bigger stuff. i've watched televangelists perform "miracles" on tv, and in real life but at the end it was discovered that. . . . . . . . . . . lipsrsealed.  while it is not impossible for the cure to come from africa, i'll still remain skeptical until i'm sure. for now, i remain skeptical. the president has not done enough for me not to be skeptical.

@toshman
if only u'll stop thinkinging negatively about this country and contribute postively this country wont be great.
unfortunately lola, the first step in the solution of a problem is the realisation that there is a problem. when our leaders are living in denial, saying nigeria is the giant of africa etc, yet anyone that looses an election first runs to US/UK/EU. they see how a society is yet they cant try to replicate such back home.

u may say i'm being negative but i think i'm being realistic. truth hurts. but it is better to know the truth than live in a fool's paradise. trust me, nigeria is moving in the wrong direction at a tremendous speed. let me ask you, name one thing in nigeria that is working fine. just one. health, education, agriculture, economy, census, elections, police, human rights, transport, airports, democracy(i dunno how many political parties we have now),NEPA or NEP Plc PHN i dont even know which name they bear now, even sports;our own football, not working well. the nation is sick and people talk of economic progress, how has the so called progress from the economic reforms affected the poor man in the street. how? abegi

u guys make me laugh when you talk about voting. if you guys are aware of the sophistication of the rigging machinery all over the country, you'll start working very very hard morning till night, even loosing sleep, to avoid the rigging of the 2011 elections (if they'll hold/if naija will still be there) as for 2007 elections;they were rigged as far back as 2005 and the rigging was perfected last year. they have the results now.

u guys are joking with PDP. a party that broke world record by having more votes than the registered voters in some constituencies, a party that first won an election and then went to look for who was their candidate in the election that was won grin

listen, with the kind of leaders in nigeria today, there is no hope. praying and fasting wont stop this one o. that country is doomed.

but it is my country cry

So if nigeria government meets your above criteria then it ceases to be corrupt?

India and ghana both scored 3.3 in the transparency international perception index rating for 2006. Nigeria scored a meagre 2.2. In principle, nigeria is more corrupt than india but the rating is faulty as far as i'm concerned. It is based on perception and not reality.(http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781359.html)
yea i agree with you that the perception index rating was faulty. i expect nigeria's rating to be about 0.02 and not 2.2
Feminism is not about having the strength to raise kids and whatnot.
It's about having the right to be treated as humans and not properties or objects to be acquired.
It's the right for women to sleep with as many men as they want without being degraded for it.
It's about men learning that women are just as independent as they can me.
It's about society to stop blaming the female victims for their rapes.
It's about a woman having the right to wear what she wants without being victimized or being labeled as a ho or a prostitute.
It's about women running for presidency and being rejected on their ability but not their gender.
It's about us having the same paycheck as men for doing the same work they do.
It's about women not being forced to be a "mummy" and a trophy wife when she wants to explore the world
It's about men realizing that we want them not that we need them
from j-girl continued . . . .
it's about women having five husbands or more without being embarrased about it
it's about women having five kids from five husbands without the society disturbing their peace
it's about women having 4 or more boyfriends apart from thier five husbands and nobody should bother them
it's about women sleeping with their daughter's boyfriends as well as their boyfriend's fathers -no stress
it's about women not working at all but collecting pay cheques from thier divorced husbands (14 of them)
it's about a woman's right to be a LovePeddler.
it's about a woman right to relax at home while her husbands/boyfriends/ sex mates do all the work for her
it's about a woman's right to slap her husband as and when due
it's about a woman's right to be a fool. after all, na ur business?

muky,
normally i tell people not to completely believe what they see on tv. i really dont know how to emphasize further about govt tv and something that has to do with the president. while i'm yet to believe him, i still state that we should be open minded--->u never know. but the president has to do more to convince the world than national tv shows.
