FoodRe: FG Closes Haufei Restaurant & Mall, Chinese Restaurant In Lagos by tot(f): 6:03pm On Mar 14, 2020
Chrisrare:
Nigerians and inferiority complex. why not go to another restaurant if they don't want you in theirs?
Martinez39s:
It's their restaurant; the loss of profit from not selling to available Nigerians is theirs to bear. If they don't want to sell to you, go to another restaurant or build your own. We have more pressing issues in this country yet they are more concerned with how a Chinese chooses to run his restaurant.
Behold, the daftest comments of the year!! Wow. shocked Are you guys educated at all? Even an illiterate would have some self respect than you both.
FoodRe: FG Closes Haufei Restaurant & Mall, Chinese Restaurant In Lagos by tot(f): 6:02pm On Mar 14, 2020
Amazing the way some people are actually justifying RACISM. Are you guys okay at all ?!!!! No wonder you keep getting leaders that treat you like shit.

Imagine one i-diot saying there are other restaurants for Nigerians to go to. You must be really daft.

Folks, can you please stop quoting the entire chapter to drop a comment? It makes it hard for others by having to scroll down. I believe Culin reads all comments so she would still see your comment. Thanks.

I agree with MoonWater.
Plus, many people on this thread, from their comments here, have shown they are in the IT field and very experienced. Nothing stops you reaching out to them and developing the required skills.

Its not a Lagos thing. There will always be poor people in this life, even Jesus Christ said it.

What's the point of been poor and be surrounded by so many poor people?
The presence of the rich is what motivates me
The poor will always be with us agreed, even in the wealthy nations there are poor people but most serious govts aim to narrow the gap between the two.

It's good you are motivated and I believe you'll get to where you're going, however we should always remember this life is not only about us. It's better to have a reasonably balanced society otherwise even the rich can't fully enjoy their wealth.

But the irony is there are testimonies of people who escape the loop. That's my dream. Its crazy right now, but better days ahead.

Banana island, watch out for me
Those people are less than 5% of the population. What is the point of being the only 'rich' person surrounded by poverty? Lagos needs to sort itself out and be a place where majority of the people can live a decent life.

Suffering has become second nature for many Lagosians. Quality of life, zero. Basically living your life in traffic and we wonder why the life expectancy is 53+

Nairaland / Nigerians need to stop this bad habit of posting pictures of dead bodies. It's very disrespectful and wrong. We are so desensitized in this country, it's terrible.

He made a comment related to the service you provided which you are advertising, an accusation. So why are not interested in clearing your name? If you do not need customers, then you shouldn't be advertising here. But if anyone was considering contacting you and they see comments like these, best believe they won't.

And it will be wicked of you for not telling her the Truth......she should review meaningful things ..... things that will better or change life ........must she even review? Can't she invent ?
Her mates are busy in search for the solution to the covid-19......she is busy reviewing a China phone..... If you mention me again ....I will face you ...be warned .....you that know how to use words ......use it to fend for yourself....
You too, why can't you invent or find a cure to Covid-19? What is stopping you?

Mediocrete? You better go and learn how to use the right words instead of blindly and jealously criticising someone else online. I am sure you do not realise some people get paid to review products, from electronics to makeup and a thousand other items. Enlighten yourself and stop being ignorant. And even if she is not a paid reviewer, it is her data and her business what she chooses to do with it. Stay pressed bro.

That is how some of you land in jail when you find yourselves outside the country because you have no sense of right or wrong. Bunch of sick people.

If there's one thing I've learnt from this thread it's that the poverty in Naija is real. Poverty also starts as a mindset.

Mid Level Software Developers earn around 250-400k in Nigeria. Seniors earn 500k upwards, in fact sometime last year there was a vacancy in Lekki and the Salary was between 800k - 1m.

If you work remotely for a foreign company as a senior and you're good, you can even hit 1.5m monthly.

Before you try to argue, I've been in this industry for the past seven years.

If you want to be like this get a laptop and start learning how to code.
Exactly. Instead of using laptops / Internet to do yahoo yahoo. India today has become a tech hub for many global companies. Nigeria has the potential to do the same but some are not ready to do the hard work or be patient to learn.

I learnt this on my first real job. I was doing so well by all standards, a bachelor who thinks more of his job and how to improve than any other thing in life, I was blind sided.
I was fired and I felt really bad for i taught i was one of the best in my game. I got another job 6 months later, but this time with a different mindset. I am always staying ahead, I make it my duty to know who is hiring in my field, where my present company is heading, my usefulness, marketability on the job market and sharpening my exit strategy.
Well said.

Very interesting thread.

That may be the price he has to pay

Years back he used to attend Glo CAF awards.
Besides, not everyone is interested in attending events, some people like their privacy, it has nothing to do with a price to pay.
