Patrioticman007:
The need for standardization of Almajiri systems cannot be over emphasized. GEJ the clueless gave out over 200,000,000,000.00 to his apprentices in looting, in the name of upgrade, for these schools, its a shame, they have looted it.
Its a fact high had human population is an advantage, if properly harnessed, a case study Peoples Republic of China has the strongest economy in the world, due to its share population. That GMB or PMB needs to wake up & turn these blessings from God, in to strength like the peoples republic of China.

These Islamic schools where reading & writing 5000 years before Southern Nigerians knew, what we call English Alphabets, with the coming of colonial masters & their pet projects called Christianity.

These Islamic schools need to upgrade like their counter parts in Dubai aka, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and other Islamic countries.

God bless Nigeria.
Was that the school you attended? cheesy

elhafeez:
This year again. I thought it has stopped last year. Construction Industry in Nigeria is where even a graduate of chemistry would be called an engineer.
People that have no business working there are the people employed.
I work in one of the Urban planning and development Agency in the North. I disapproved a building which has a very good design submitted for approval but when I went to the site and saw how substandard the work is.
The staff of my agency see me as an enemy of progress. How will I recommend a building for demolition.
the building is a hostel. Imagine how many people will die if it collapse.
Guess what, the building is still standing, nothing has been done to that report. The last time I checked they allowed the developer continue their substandard construction work.
I was so sad that I concluded that this country has no future. No leader can change Nigeria if we in our own offices and homes cannot do the right thing.
You are so very right.
Is there no way to anonymously report it? So your conscience would be clear you at least tried.

This is what Nigeria has been reduced to... various means of self protection and defense, very unfortunate.

This Onu had been dishing us lately some appetites that might not happen even in his own lifetime

Just to mention a few Promises from the Uburu man

-‘Nigeria to start methanol production soon’

--FG inaugurates committee on establishment of science data bank

-Nigeria to produce agric machinery soon, says minister

-Minister explains FG’s strategy for saving N3.6tn from raw materials

This is just to mention a few.... but nothing is forthcoming from that ministry, but waste of Salary on a "soon" minister.

Now if My president decides to reshuffle and sacks this man, and replace with a competent person, some will begin to cry marginalisation
Please tell us which MINISTRIES have delivered in this govt, because your comment is implying only this ministry is failing. Have the Ministries of Power, Education, Health etc delivered? Please let us know.

The day people like you learn to be objective is when Nigeria can start to move forward.

Do you know 3 million Biafran kids were starved to death by Nigerian government during the civil war? The Nigerian government still claims what the did was right cause it was an act of war , so there is noting wrong here
I am not on either side here in case you interpreted my comment otherwise. Let's rise above all this. This is a new year.

Exactly! In a sane country, if such a video ever made it online, that CEO/company will suffer major loss and a possible lawsuit by the customer. Even if the customer was a jerk, the best thing to do is to get the authorities involved when the behavior becomes threatening or bullying like he said.
Thank you o. It shows how so many abnormal things have been normalized in Nigeria. Really terrible.

Easier said than done.

I have worked for many many years in my life. For about 10 years, I have never lost my temper with a customer.

That is until a debtor....an owing customer called me a thief and that he would not settle his debts until I apologise to him and give him some more goods on credit. He said all that while tapping my chest. I almost strangled that man to death. It was police arrest that forced him to pay his debts and get sense.

Once in ten years. I lost my temper once in 10 years. The lesson is that everyone has an off day and in Nigeria, there would be idiots who will push you to the limit.
I really don't know if this is an off day for this guy, but this level of aggression is not something that happens out of the blue.

It’s refreshing to see educated response on here.
I am really amazed at the comments I've read and how people are justifying and giving excuses for him. This has nothing to do with gender as some have turned it to. Male or female, anyone exhibiting this behaviour has anger management issues.

You can walk a person out of your office without yelling and almost developing a heart attack in the process. He has some anger management issues that should be worked on, not just for the sake of the business but for relationships in his personal life as well.

Simply put, there has to be agreement on what can be done on the property.
The whole nation of Oyibo in Western world, cannot eat pepper or spicy food.
As you are going to live with them, adjust your stomach and eat their food.

If you must still eat our Nigerian food, then find a landlord, or restaurant that allows it.
So because you share apartments you must eat their food? By the way, why must one person be the one to make the adjustment?

That's not racism. People have preferences. She only wants to rent to Europeans. Nothing wrong with that.
What if she was an employer and only wants to give jobs to Europeans, I guess you would say that is not racism.

This thread shows the level of thinking and lack of exposure of many Nigerians, to the extent they do not even know what racism is.

That does not answer the question. How does his sleeping in a bus translate to laziness? That people encounter misfortune does not mean they are lazy. Let's try and have some empathy.

You lied, Mark Zuckerberg would not have failed in Nigeria if he applied the same ingenuity he applied in America. Besides, Nigeria is not a den of failures. Nigeria has produced the likes of Dangote, Otedola, Innosson, Soyinka, Tony Elumelu, Jim Ovia, Festus Akimgbola, Emeka Of, Artur Eze and countless others.

Those who fail are those of you who on a daily basis curse the country saying that there is nothing good about Nigeria. So you cannot curse the land that you till to plant crops and expect it to yield abundantly for you at the time of harvest.
Basic principle.

There is still lots to be done particularly electricity but that is not to say progress isn't being made.

Until they become a junta and tools for politicians during elections.

Nigerians, ever being shortsighted. Why can't people demand for the herdsmen to be put in check by existing security forces i.e. the police? What control will be in place for these different militia outfits? While solving problem A, we foolishly create problems B-Z. How do we ensure they are not security officials by day but robbers at night thereby misusing their powers? People had better think long and hard regarding this.
