Your ranges look very okay.

What day did you do you progesterone (P4) test, if done CD21 or around 7 days after O, it simply means u surely ovulated. Some say high P4 is not good but i am yet to understand the logic

I guess you had this test at Clinix, anyway to better understand your result the ranges at the far right is the yard stick you should use to know where you are, that is why you are asked to carry out the tests on some particular days when the hormones should be at their peak for each phase.

Follicular Phase : Day 1 – 13 - it includes AF and up till right before O
Ovulation Phase : Day 14 - The almighty O day
Luteal Phase : Day 15 – 28 - Right After O till right before AF

For instance u had E2, prolactin, FSH, LH on CD2/3 it means u will compare with ranges in follicular stage, while P4 is CD 21 which falls in Luteal phase (it is written mid luteal phase on your test result)

some labs use > & < signs for the ranges too

@ Wowdiva, you are most welcome, no need to be anxious, so long your AF (period) is regular, you are not dealing with infection or any underlying issue you will testify soon.

Since you have tried for over a year, please see and gynae and work closely with him, some of these tests may only be necessary after you have taken some other ones, for instance if your hormonal profile is within range, your HVS and scan comes out clean, then you may be asked to go for HSG, working with a Dr will guide you on preliminaries and main things to do.

Please totally avoid HSG if ur HVS is not clean.

High Vaginal Swab (HVS) - It is commonly used to test for infections such as bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas vaginalis
Pelvic Ultrasound Scan aka Scan - it is done over the abdomen/pelvic region used to check the uterus, ovaries and surrounding areas. This is mostly where fibriods and cysts are discovered
Transvaginal Ultrasound (TVS) is a scan that is more accurate than an ultrasound scan, it helps to check, uterine linning, ovaries, cervix, and vagi.na. Also used to monitor the growth of a follicles in tracking ovulation. it done intra jajainaly.
Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray to check especially the fallopian tubes and uterus for adhesions, blockages and scar tissues. Bacterias can be pushed into the uterus and tubes from the cervix and vagi.na during this examination leading to other issues, hence the reason for caution in taking this test.

Hello Wowdiva, i would say do a pelvic/Abdominal ultrasound scan, if you would want to carry out more advanced test, it would be better you do so under a doctors supervision so you don't just waste money to carry out the test and not follow up with necessary line of action/medication.

@ Lavivaavril, there should be a range in comparison to these figures, that way you can easily tell if it is within range, cos different labs use different ranges to derive their result. include the range with your result

Yes there are specific days for both HSG & TVS, that way you can get accurate result

HSG is to be done after AF has stopped and b4 O, so it doesn't interfer with O. for a regular cycle of 28days it is advised to have the HSG test bewteen cycle day 9 - 11, CD10 being the most ideal and frequently used

for TVS, if it is for tracking O, you are advised to have 3 - 4 episodes on cd10, cd12, cd14, cd16 in a 28days cycle but most people usually pick 3 episodes to save cost and stress. CD's for TVS may be altered according to cycle late and if cycle is medicated or not.

1st episode to check for dominate follicle(s) and size, endometrium size and predict when ovulation may occur
2nd episode to compare growth level of follicles, endometrium from previous episode, and decide either to trigger or not
3rd episode to check if follicle released egg i.e if ovulation occured

Yes ma'm, preseed and the likes, in most pharmacies i only see Pre-seed. Yes Baby, Conceive Plus and Astroglide (u will find regular astroglide more in naija) are hardly in pharmacies.

Good morning peeps, pls wen s d ryt time to do d castor oil therapy. I read it somewer and it szd don't do it while menstrusting and somewerelse it szd don't do it after mensuration or ovulation.

Please use only after AF, right before O, castor oil can over stimulate the uterus and excessively thin-out the endometrium, causing more bleeding or non-stop bleeding if used during AF, u can use hot water bottle only without castor oil during AF to help with the flow.

Good day all sabi mamas in the house, i have been a silent reader all along. Pls i need your help, i went for fertiliy tests and the doctor asked me to do hsg. From my results, one of my tubes is blocked and he told me that i should still keep trying for a baby for some time but i should consider ivf as an option later.

I later went on to read comments from other women on this platform and i realised the doctor didnt ask me to do FSH,LH and thyroid tests (i hope i got them right). He also did not say anything about using ovulation inducing drugs like clomid. Pls does anyone know a good doctor on the mainland as i need another good doctor as my doctor thinks ivf will be the best option on the long run. I will start serrapeptase and castor oil pack to deal with the blocked tube.

I think you are right on track as per castor oil pack and serrapeptase, I would not advice any ovulation inducing medication if one tube is said to be blocked, cos this increases this risk of ectopic should fertilization occur in the blocked tube.

I would advise u ensure both tubes are patent before inducing or enhancing ovulation.

Also ensure u always ask ur doc questions over and over again till ur are clear and satisfied with the response, I mean that is what you are paying for.

Ok this is going to be an epistle but let me just shorten the treatment regime I followed, believe me I tried all those home remedies, I believe it would work for some people that are not dealing with recurrent yeast, (mine was sure to come once I approach AF with whitish cheesy discharge) and anytime in between, I could be free for a week after taking treatment only for it to return with vengeance, not only was I dealing with yeast but also bacteria vaginosis( who will be happy with a smelly jajaina - not me)

Ok, so I will advice you get the following


1 month supply of disposable panties

New set of 100% cotton pants/thongs - leave the sexy non-cotton lace for now and never go back to your old panties

Diflucan, 6months supply

Anti-fungal suppository (Gynotiocosid was effective for me + it was 3 tabs for 3 nights)

Anti-fungal cream (any of Nizoral, Datkarin, Canesten would do)

Combo kit anti fungal treatment ( Dazel kit or A-Day-kit) or better still individual components that makes up this kit ( diflucan/fluconazole is one of the components) ask your pharmacist or read online

Then the ogbonge one BORIC ACID suppository specifically PH-D 600mg ( this is the one I used) - don't think it is available in Nigeria check Amazon US


Start wearing disposable panties from the day u start treatment and continue wearing it 1-2 weeks after treatment
Once the suppository finishes start with the BORIC ACID suppository for another 3-5 days make sure to follow the instructions ooo
Make bleach ur toilet best friend wash ur toilet as often as u can, u can wash all corners with toothbrush u no longer use to ensure all is clean
Wash all new panties after buying and before wearing make sure to rinse off soap suds at every wash

Also, I know there is a lot of controversy about cleaning one's jajaina by dipping ur finger into it, but I do this. I take special care washing my finger and under nails then sanitizing with hydrogen peroxide and water rinse well with water and I clean out any cheesy discharge with water and pat dry my jajaina. Ensure to air, air and air the jajaina as often as u can

You are to use the full diflucan dosage once every month for 6 months, same date this is called the maintenance therapy and most importantly Pray and thank God for victory. Up till date I just thank God when I look back on the victory He gave me

Also, u may want to keep the fungal suppository handy, I use one tab once I start getting any tingling. I alternate between this and the Boric acid suppository but I can testify that I am yeast free for 5months now no smelly jajaina and my sex life has never been better, because I don't get bruised like I used to, I have good self lubricant now, I have se.ual confidence, I can have qui.ckies like I want not that I will have to consciously clean up in preparation for BD

This was what I was doing and dh started calling me "olobo T&C" as laughable as it was I didn't find it funny one bit (t&c meaning "terms & condition)

@Chanbaby, other mamas have said it all, you are your mother's child, she should have realized all her dreams with you and your siblings, your baby is your child not hers and that baby was made with no one else than your hubby, so you and hubby have "Sole authority and say" over your children. You may or not consider whatever proposition (that is what i will call it) anyone brings to you, how that will make them feel is not your headache biko.

I once watched an episode of Judge Joe Brown where a SonIL sued his FIL for throwing his grandchild up in the air playfully after the SonIL had warned him not to do that to his child, funny but made me realize the position of Parents and Grandparents.

My parents know better sha, even in this ATC my mum knows not to carry anyhow jist reach my side even when others suggest anything to her she would refer them to come face me by themselves.

Hello Sixx, it maybe actually your own pulse, to confirm it if is ur pulse, just feel ur pulse below ur ear where ur jawbow ends and touch where you feel the pulse in ur abdomen, if it is the same then it is ur pulse, if not maybe baby hiccups like other mamas have said.
