As in, don't just post any picture- post the picture where you look good. Even if you look different in real life.

people will talk all kinds of crap based on internet photos.

Like Exponent proving red eyes is an African thing and posting a picture to prove it.

My mother is from Delta State and my father is from Anambra state, it doesn't get any better than that.
is that you in your picture? You're very pretty.

Why do so many Delta people like to marry from outside their state sef?  j/k.

You actually look like this girl I used to know, with an Anambra mother and Delta father. She was a kid at the time but should be grown now.

God will deliver Africans/African men from this their automated response of "second wife" as a standard reply to anything that involves marriage.

@ topic: if you've been told there's nothing physically wrong, and the doctors havent been able to find out the cause of the infertility, then sometimes refusing to be worried about it can also help. Cos your state of mind matters.

The IVF is a good idea, since you can afford it.

There are also a few simple tricks which you may have tried already. Like elevating the nether regions for a while after sex (women only).

Following the Billings method can also give some pointers about fertile periods and so on.

Some people use fertility drugs as well, but you have to be alert and monitor the conception carefully because such drugs may increase the risk of an ectopic pregnancy in some women. However, many have used them successfully without any complications.

LiteratureRe: The Subtle Art Of Seduction by tpia: 8:06pm On Aug 08, 2008
first you need to define where the sublety is in the piece, and also where is the seduction. The title is interesting, but doesnt match the content. as in, its rather misleading.

Seduction:
Traditionally, the word implied leading someone astray, as when a woman lured a man into a sexual relationship. In contemporary usage, seduction is frequently used more broadly as a synonym for the act of charming someone—male or female—by an appeal to the senses. The seducing agent may even be nonhuman, such as music or food.

Subtle:

fine or delicate in meaning or intent; difficult to perceive or understand: subtle irony.
3. delicate or faint and mysterious: a subtle smile.
4. requiring mental acuteness, penetration, or discernment: a subtle philosophy.
5. characterized by mental acuteness or penetration: a subtle understanding.
6. cunning, wily, or crafty: a subtle liar.
7. insidious in operation: subtle poison.
8. skillful, clever, or ingenious: a subtle painter

The seduction is supposed to happen before the sex or pre-intimacy- often before the man or woman consciously falls for the seducer. Subtlety is supposed to mean something is not obvious. Is that the case here.

could it be because people like davidylan find the muslim section amusing to post therein
check davidylan's posts in the Muslim section and compare with olabawale's posts in this section. There's a clear difference.

olabawale enjoys the interaction here more than he does over there, even though he's a Muslim. That speaks volumes.

He's obviously getting a "buzz" and a warm fuzzy feeling from this part of nairaland. Too bad he tries to avoid the same in real life.
tpia,

There is no other culture in the sub-saharan area of Africa that has head adornments like that for its ranks of Chiefs. Usually a culture will have traits from neighboring cultures that serve as reference source for its principles, East, West or North of the Yorubas, there is no other culture where Chiefs wear hats like that.

Thanks for interpreting the meaning of Oranmiyan for me. Now I know what it means.
you're welcome. Your analysis is spot on as well. Very informative.

I even asked a Yoruba friend yesterday, about the origin of the cap design, and he said he didnt know.

I just picked an arbitrary time in the past when I think there would have been no more that a handful (if any) of Christians in the territory that is now Nigeria. 300 years seems a save bet. But it could be 310, 367 or 400. Basically, if you go back far enough, there will come a point when they were no believers in the Abrahamic god in Nigeria.

What was the foundation for assessing claims and understanding reality in pre-christian Nigeria? Would a pre-christian Igbo or Yoruba have found the idea of virgin birth believable?
first of all,  there are no pre-Christian Nigerians who can respond to your enquiry. They are all dead.

secondly, you seem to be begging the question here:

Would a pre-christian Igbo or Yoruba have found the idea of virgin birth believable?
they obviously already did, hence your wondering in the first place.

Kobojunkie:
You continue to prove my point. You seem to have created this thread so you can pick on those who do not see things or speak exactly the language you want them to. This is not really about making a wish ( as you do not care what unique relationship each individual actually has with the God you mention), but about making the exact wishes you have in mind. Those who do not follow are to be cut down by you. Happy bullying!!!
You live in America and you dont know what it means when someone says make a wish?

Dont just pass through America- let America pass through you. You sure say no be inside one African village you dey?

even a 4 year old knows the meaning of make a wish.

Most Nigerians don't like what we are passing through, does the preaching of our pastors to be submissive to our leader, and give the battle for the lord to fight influencing our decission to rebel against this injustice? Please share your view with me.

My comment: I think churches are deviating from biblical principle. In the old testaments prophets prophecy doom on any kings that suffer the masses and go astray from doing gods will, but today rather than go against such political leaders our Religious leaders are showering blessings on them. why?
you're not looking at the real picture here.

People curse the political leaders but worship the religious leaders.

Connect the dots.

Most Black Girls Are Ugly

Why is that most black girls are so ugly. I'm not being racist as I'm also black but classified as a coloured in South Africa because of my light skin. But truthfully speaking most of our black girls are so ugly especially the ones from West Africa. Some African American women are also ugly. I've taken a stand against this, as from now I only date white or Asian women.

If you hate your black blood then too bad for your life.

Not to mention you also find it difficult to comprehend simple things like where to put a thread.
