KarmaMod:there's a method to looking good online. As in, don't just post any picture- post the picture where you look good. Even if you look different in real life. people will talk all kinds of crap based on internet photos. Like Exponent proving red eyes is an African thing and posting a picture to prove it. that guy in Bolarge's picture e get as e be. and that obviously isnt pussy full's photo. ![]() |
oh lord- this must be the kind of thread non-Nigerians are seeing that makes them open other threads saying west Africans are ugly. |
Naveyah:is that you in your picture? You're very pretty. Why do so many Delta people like to marry from outside their state sef? j/k. You actually look like this girl I used to know, with an Anambra mother and Delta father. She was a kid at the time but should be grown now. |
some women also have fainting spells, or feel dizzy. Nice list. |
you should get it checked out ASAP. |
God will deliver Africans/African men from this their automated response of "second wife" as a standard reply to anything that involves marriage. @ topic: if you've been told there's nothing physically wrong, and the doctors havent been able to find out the cause of the infertility, then sometimes refusing to be worried about it can also help. Cos your state of mind matters. The IVF is a good idea, since you can afford it. There are also a few simple tricks which you may have tried already. Like elevating the nether regions for a while after sex (women only). Following the Billings method can also give some pointers about fertile periods and so on. Some people use fertility drugs as well, but you have to be alert and monitor the conception carefully because such drugs may increase the risk of an ectopic pregnancy in some women. However, many have used them successfully without any complications. |
are there dwarfs on this forum? or why all the dwarf threads every now and then? nothing wrong with being a dwarf but I'm just wondering. |
godogado- are you an almajiri because you're not making too much sense here. |
Olubunmi can also be a boy's name. I have male friends with that name. |
pikin from pickaninny- a colloquial exression for child. |
@ babs787: riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. ![]() I understand your concern for your brother in the faith. |
actually, she does look uglier. |
first you need to define where the sublety is in the piece, and also where is the seduction. The title is interesting, but doesnt match the content. as in, its rather misleading. Seduction: Traditionally, the word implied leading someone astray, as when a woman lured a man into a sexual relationship. In contemporary usage, seduction is frequently used more broadly as a synonym for the act of charming someone—male or female—by an appeal to the senses. The seducing agent may even be nonhuman, such as music or food. Subtle: fine or delicate in meaning or intent; difficult to perceive or understand: subtle irony. 3. delicate or faint and mysterious: a subtle smile. 4. requiring mental acuteness, penetration, or discernment: a subtle philosophy. 5. characterized by mental acuteness or penetration: a subtle understanding. 6. cunning, wily, or crafty: a subtle liar. 7. insidious in operation: subtle poison. 8. skillful, clever, or ingenious: a subtle painter The seduction is supposed to happen before the sex or pre-intimacy- often before the man or woman consciously falls for the seducer. Subtlety is supposed to mean something is not obvious. Is that the case here. |
MC Usman:check davidylan's posts in the Muslim section and compare with olabawale's posts in this section. There's a clear difference. olabawale enjoys the interaction here more than he does over there, even though he's a Muslim. That speaks volumes. He's obviously getting a "buzz" and a warm fuzzy feeling from this part of nairaland. Too bad he tries to avoid the same in real life. na today? I understand though. Na im daily bread im dey guard with the so called "preaching". ![]() Paul was much more militant than him. ![]() |
huxley:do you never know when to drop an argument? By now you should know this particular topic makes no sense. Why not just make whatever point you're trying to make here and move on? |
tpia, There is no other culture in the sub-saharan area of Africa that has head adornments like that for its ranks of Chiefs. Usually a culture will have traits from neighboring cultures that serve as reference source for its principles, East, West or North of the Yorubas, there is no other culture where Chiefs wear hats like that. Thanks for interpreting the meaning of Oranmiyan for me. Now I know what it means.
you're welcome. Your analysis is spot on as well. Very informative. and @ bolded: true. I even asked a Yoruba friend yesterday, about the origin of the cap design, and he said he didnt know. |
make a wish is different from make a curse, @ kobojunkie and nuzo. |
anyone relying on the sacrificing of goats for protection, are also in danger of eventually suffering the same fate as a goat. |
huxley:first of all, there are no pre-Christian Nigerians who can respond to your enquiry. They are all dead. secondly, you seem to be begging the question here: Would a pre-christian Igbo or Yoruba have found the idea of virgin birth believable?they obviously already did, hence your wondering in the first place. |
Kobojunkie:You live in America and you dont know what it means when someone says make a wish? Dont just pass through America- let America pass through you. You sure say no be inside one African village you dey? even a 4 year old knows the meaning of make a wish. trust some naijas to see doom in everything. Even sunshine go dey dark for them eye. |
nuzo:You're in more pain than anyone else on this forum, obviously, If you doubt that, check your gloomy posts. I don tell you say I fully sympathize. However, life goes on. Your own suffering no even get relief like other people's own. ![]() |
the figure could even be higher. |
Who is this person who's stock-in-trade is to insult others rather than to make his point? This is worse than Harry's swatika because Harry is a young adult, not this very impressionable child being taught to glorify the wrong things.
tell that to his Nigerian role models in the entertainment scene. And no, it isnt worse than Harry's swastika. geez! Is this what the Nigerian educational system is turning out these days!!!!!!!! I'm not referring to Musa yaradua!!!!!!! Your post shows upside down mentality at its best! |
smlafolabi:you're not looking at the real picture here. People curse the political leaders but worship the religious leaders. Connect the dots. |
@ Mpele Most Black Girls Are UglyMpele, I have told you many times that your head is not correct. ![]() If you hate your black blood then too bad for your life. You dont even seem to realize that you look like the product of inbreeding. Unnaturally long face and all. Like a walking cricket. Not to mention you also find it difficult to comprehend simple things like where to put a thread. |
huxley:why do you feel these people you mention, were first exposed to Christianity and Islam 300 years ago? Are you guessing or do you have some proof? |
DeepZone:who go dash am UR or Canaan? (whatever the modern equivalent is). Those places no get inhabitants? After he reach there them go dump am for sahara desert or central African republic. Or somewhere around lake Chad. from there he will retrace the original journey from thousands of years ago when there was the mass migration into Nigeria. |
huxley:oh, were you being sarcastic? didnt seem that way, since you're so literal most times. So try to rephrase your original question in a manner that people can understand. |
so many people who dont understand the meaning of amicable divorce, in Nigeria. They spend lots of energy destroying a marriage, and also spend a lot of energy destroying themselves after breaking the marriage. na wa. ![]() |
