And, YES! The ladies would be on to you, unless you look like an orangootan. . . which doesnt even matter much these days anyway. . . with your $1800/day and all. smiley
it doesnt matter oh. smiley

Even if he has two physical horns growing out of his head- most ladies would rather look at the money instead of noticing the horns. cheesy wink

they even fit say horns/orangutans are sexy. wink

$1800 a day can work wonders in most parts of the world, talkless Nigeria. That's $54000 a month, minus some minimal taxes. Anyone making that kind of money per day, in the US, for example, can be trailed by the IRS if he/she doesnt pay their required minimum 24 to 40% tax.

Could it be that no good 'medicare insurance in USA?

Bernie Mac, Isaac Hayes, Barry white = died in 60s even though they don't have crazy life style, atleast visible to public
which white ones are living longer? Heath Ledger?

Its an unfortunate situation. may he RIP.

To those who are using the opportunity to bash Nigeria as usual: a tanker plunged into the sea yesterday, from a Maryland, USA, bridge. Please go and bash the US as well.

Weekend Crash Creates Traffic Nightmare

Traffic backed up at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge again this morning as authorities continued investigating a Sunday wreck that claimed the life of a truck driver whose tractor-trailer rig plunged through the side of the eastbound span and into the water.

Some Opening Ceremony fireworks were faked
By Chris Chase

If you watched the Opening Ceremony on Friday night, chances are you said something like, "no way that's possible" at least once. It turns out you were right.

London's Telegraph newspaper reports that some of the fireworks which appeared over Beijing during the television broadcast of the Olympic Opening Ceremony were actually computer generated. But -- hold on -- it's not necessarily as bad as you think.

The faked fireworks were actually set-off at the stadium, but because of potential dangers in filming the display live from a helicopter, viewers at home were shown a pre-recorded, computer-generated shot. It sounds dishonest, but I'm not sure it's such a terrible thing.

The Opening Ceremony is, at its core, just one big performance. And isn't it accepted that some things might not be legit at a performance? The final torch bearer wasn't actually running around the top of the stadium, does the fact that everyone could figure that out make it any less impressive? It might have been unnecessarily deceptive, but the firework-faking isn't really that big of a deal. But, if I found out that the lighted-drum thing wasn't on the up and up, then we'll have problems, China.

what about all these gas tanker and oil pipeline explosions?

Any group of terrorists trying to make a point by flying into some Nigerian skyscraper, are just killing themselves for nothing. People will mourn and move on. Some will even thank them.

There's nothing wrong in taking up a job offer for the good salary. the only problem here, as far as I can see, is that you'll have to be separated from your family. But the effects depend on how you handle the situation.

$1800 a day is not to be laughed at, and many expatriates/foreigners are already making that and more in Nigeria, so why shouldnt more Nigerians also make the same.

Just make sure your life insurance is in order. I'm not trying to alarm you but even in any job, a responsible man will always want his family to be cared for in case something happens. In most developed countries, I assume life insurance is routinely offered by employers anyway.

if this statement of yours makes sense to you then I fear for Nigeria.

the pictures here show girls wearing jeans.

can the OP show exactly what he/she is calling "dress to kill".

To the best of my knowledge, the real dressing to kill is on some Nigerian university campuses.

In any case, its all about color coordination. An outfit doesnt necessarily have to be too expensive, for someone to look good. They could simply have good dress sense.

And this is Lagos, for crying out loud. Clothes full everywhere for sale.

Kobojunkie:
Please stop making things up! I live in an all white neighbourhood here and have never had any racist issues with my neigbours. There are many africans here as well and they hang out and party with white people and have no such issues. Infact, one could say Africans get along better with white americans here than they do with the black americans. I have even lived deep in the south and in Birmingham alabama, up in the mountainview area which is predominantly white and had a white room mate. No race issues ever arose and no focus on the color of my skin or that of the other Africans who lived there. Can we please start putting things in perspective? There are caucasian racists and black racists. To go around painting racists the color white is ridiculous. Start by dealing with racism in the black community. There are Africans who will boldly tell you that they have had more racist attacks from black americans and fellow africans than they have from caucasians or even chinese.
you do know a lot of Africans don't even know when someone is being racist to them, right? Especially when the person is white. However, they are hypersensitive to AA discrimination, on the other hand. This is one major reason why many AAs and Africans don't get along.

Look at you saying you never experienced racism in Alabama. So, in what way does that prove there's no racism in Alabama?

I really want to respond to your stupid posts but you're making it hard for me because you don't seem to know the rudiments of grammar. In the time you say you spent at an American university, didnt they teach you about paragraphs, commas and full stops? Or were you too busy daydreaming about Saudi Arabia, women, and alcohol, to pay attention to these very basic elements of writing?

Anyway, we could spend the rest of the day on this thread if I have your time, but meanwhile you may want to check out the Muslim section of this board, because as is usual with your type, your knowledge of the outside world is limited to whatever your imam brainwashed you with.

Maybe you missed road to the politics section.

maybe some people should just limit themselves to wishing for pounded yam, fufu and draw soup. That's easier and very attainable. Since their imagination no pass that level.

Ok, Tpia, you are scaring the heck out of me.  Honestly, i am not feeling no pain.  It all add up.  Just last month my daughter said to me "mommy your belly looks high"  I said ughh, i think it's b/c i am in my reds,

No its not hurting me but my mind is not at peace. However, if i lie on my back I can feel the weight of the lump/bump pressing down . . . . and is very uncomfortable
I didnt mean to scare you. cheesy  I think I sound too practical/unemotional sometimes.

What I mean to say is if you're not feeling any pain, then you can probably wait till tuesday.

But if you're feeling really uneasy about it, then go to the emergency room. Some emergency rooms have long waits, so thats why I added that part.  Especially if you're a walk in. However, it depends. I'm just talking generally here.

You can also post the question on the Doctor in the House/ObGyn thread. Just in case that's the thread the doctors are mainly checking.

well, its almost tuesday so you can probably wait till then.

For your peace of mind however, you can go to the emergency room, though depending on where you are, it could be a long wait.

If you're not feeling any pain, then you could just see your doctor on tuesday. Unless you consider it urgent.

If you're lucky, you'll find that Nigerian guy who is one in a million.

I don't like generalizing, but a lot of Delta guys have really impressed me in the marriage/relationship department. They are the bomb, for real. Of course there will always be some bad eggs in any group, but they take care of their wives. I think it must be a culture with them or something.

In any case, just go with your heart. Nigerian or non-Nigerian.
