Islam › Re: Can Muslims Celebrate Valentine? by tpia5:
@ thread

this same discussion was held at christmas. I think the bone of contention is, muslims should or should not be celebrating or acknowledging holidays celebrated by christians.

its a topic for debate.

is dr sid a nigerian?

does kenya have cocoa? (thought they did tea- cocoa grows better in humid climates like nigeria while tea is for temperate weather)

is the cocoa sourced from nigeria to be processed in kenya?

just wondering.

who is he, btw.

its outsiders who are shocked by it, imo.

Remember THE MORE YOU TALK ABOUT AN ARTISTE/SONGS ON SOCIAL FORUMS LIKE THIS, THEY MORE POPULAR THEY GET
popularity is different from song quality and song likeability.

or put it this way: artist "popularity" is different from song popularity.

ghost of sparta

where are you from? you dont sound yoruba.
Islam › Re: We Are Losing Our Identity To The Arabs by tpia5: 4:05am On Feb 10, 2013
the way you have been fighting for an Arab ancestry shows clearly how much you want to associate yourself and you are fighting for it time and again even after being proven otherwise
middle east doesnt necessarily mean arab when viewed in a historical context. Nobody is fighting for non-existent arab ancestry.

the time and era have to be considered.

tell me, do you doubt the historical legends of kanuri people which link them to southern arabia [yemen]?

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Was The Rich Man Asked To Give His Money To The Poor And Not The 'Church' ? by tpia5: 6:23pm On Feb 09, 2013
a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.

3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected,

5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.

ok then.

there was no mention of war that i remember, from that source, but i'll examine the account more, another time. Not sure if or where i can get it, i read it some years ago and not sure which book it was.
Romance › Re: 10 Red Signs You Shouldn’t Take Back Your ex by tpia5: 9:45am On Feb 09, 2013
the way nlers keep going on about this ex thing, most sane people should be scared to date una, because it seems to be a crime for someone to do so.

why knowingly date someone who will be stalking you everywhere afterwards? huh

even befriending sef, not advisable unless you're crazy, in which case, keep going.
Culture › Re: The Expansion Of Binin And The Trend Of Igbo Development. by tpia5: 9:41am On Feb 09, 2013
not sure what you're referring to, and neither should you see my post as an endorsement of abagworo's own [i hardly even know most of his posts, i just assume they'll be mostly igbo-related].

neither have i been following the thread.

the part i noticed was what i quoted and which i feel should be looked into.

are you saying civil war was what caused the mass migration observed during that time and recorded by europeans?
TV/Movies › Re: Beyonce 2013 Superbowl Performance How Did You Like It? by tpia5: 9:30am On Feb 09, 2013
it was alright, but why is no one here discussing the geek and the model ad.

seems that's where things are going o.

the geeks are holding the cash now, so they'll also get the girls.

if nothing else, they can hack your info?

what kind of music do they like btw.
Culture › Re: The Expansion Of Binin And The Trend Of Igbo Development. by tpia5: 9:16am On Feb 09, 2013
Something must have happened towards the end of last millenium that lead to a mass movement of people away from a previously larger Benin and moving across the Niger.
well this at least can be examined.

an european explorer spoke of a migration out of benin in the 16th or 17th century.

he didnt give a reason however.

the portuguese might have known more but unfortunately

1. the records were destroyed i think

2. such info might not have been recorded.

my guess is there was mass movement into as well as out of benin.

obowunmi: I know he has a daughter, didn't know that he has 3 kids...
do you really "know" that or are you just fabricating lies here.

seems you've been insulting the lady for long, i went through one of the old threads about her and the only thing you posted there was abuse.

is it a personal vendetta? Does she know you or someone close to you?
Celebrities › Re: Tiwa Savage & Tee Billz Are Engaged by tpia5: 8:50am On Feb 09, 2013
and why so much hating on the lady just because she got engaged, btw.

what did she do to you or is it the guy who you want to have.

Nairaland General › Re: Nigerian Village Square by tpia5: 7:27am On Feb 09, 2013
well, many of them are here, you can ask them. undecided

if by work you mean the same topics you post extensively about on nl, they've probably already seen it- 80 to possibly 98% of them are nlers.

as per your question, no idea, think there were some issues possibly, which led to the site being restricted.

some other nigerian sites were the same way [eg cybereagles, naijaryders], so far nl hasnt gone there yet.
Nairaland General › Re: Caveat Emptor by tpia5(op): 7:11am On Feb 09, 2013
Caveat emptor (pron.: /ˌkæviːɑːt ˈɛmptɔr/) is Latin for "Let the buyer beware"
Nairaland General › Caveat Emptor by tpia5(op): 7:08am On Feb 09, 2013
I understand you people have moved most of your online interactions to pm and yim.

Be aware anyone who claims to be doing any interaction in my name [claiming they know me or whatever], is doing so on their own cognizance and this has nothing to do with me.

I cannot prevent anyone from engaging in their usual routine gossip, script/role acting, and/or lies, that's not my business and i dont control anyone's mouth, but this thread is a warning to those who might want to take nlers at face value and be trying to involve this moniker in their scams.

mods dont touch this, thanks.

you should quit the ratty atttitude and have some class when you type.

you're supposed to be female, not so?

you and onila are both very uncultured and bratty, maybe reality should just bed the two of you since you obviously need it.
