Christianity EtcRe: Why Do We Humans Die, Why Cant We Live Forever by tpiah2: 6:41pm On Jan 31, 2011
well, it is appointed unto man once to die.

so, death is inevitable.

however, matter cant be created or destroyed, only transformed. Therefore, in a way, death may be the end of a man and a man's works but not necessarily of his memory and impact.

am i making sense here.
Christianity EtcRe: Does Anyone Have An Explanation For What We're Seeing These Days by tpiah2(op): 6:24pm On Jan 31, 2011
^i asked what's to be done when say, for example, someone struggled for a while, and in the face of difficulty, eventually made something of their lives. Only to encounter others who then begin to hate on him for no other reason than because he seems to be doing better than what they expected, or better than they themselves.

now, some people [not everybody] made conscious decisions to follow lifestyles which do not give them the kind of successful outcome they want for themselves.

how is the first guy to handle the bitterness and envy coming from the second.

number 1 thing:

1. ignorance.

please, please please, having a pinis isnt all there is to being a man.

2. arrogance

someone who needs help understanding basic concepts even a two year old can grasp immediately, shouldnt be walking around with a swollen head!

3. low self esteem

aka lick and kiss any butt as long as it didnt originate from your backyard.

4. s.tupidity

nuff said. Its so self evident.

5. lack of manners, breeding and class [including morals]

the stone age was milleniums ago.

hellooo? huh

Will Jonathan think for you? Will army man teach you to regard your fellow humans as humans?

Will army man sleep with you in your room to make sure you don't wake up in the middle of the night to go and kill your neighbour out of hatred and stuppidity?
yes to all questions.

PoliticsRe: Tunisian Revolution: Can It Happen In Nigeria by tpiah2: 4:00pm On Jan 31, 2011
^i think the revolution in egypt, if it succeeds, might bring about a cultural revolution in nigeria, assuming there is one.

people are very content with gej- the only person they want to get rid of, is his wife, from what i see.

you're right about the other factors, but gej has a very strong support base, for all the wrong reasons. The people supporting him do not play by normal rules.
Christianity EtcDoes Anyone Have An Explanation For What We're Seeing These Days by tpiah2(op): 3:53pm On Jan 31, 2011
bible verses or something?

i dont understand much of it.

i'm referring to the way people are getting killed, dropping dead, etc etc.

yes, i know it's nothing new to mankind, but still disturbing nonetheless.

is it a sign of the end times, the inevitable result of something, or what's the root cause of man's inhumanity to man.

Money? huh

and, as Christians, how do you guard against the envy which naturally occurs when people arent doing as well as you [subjectively speaking]. Which may or may not be the result of previous lifestyle choices?

the funny thing is, African Americans DO NOT TALK about Africans.
yes they do.

some years back, there was this huge war on blackvoices.com, simply because someone opened a thread asking people's opinion of nigerians.[something like that].

within a few days, the thread was over 100 pages, and i've rarely seen such a huge display of bitterness and contempt towards any one group.

i'm talking seriously bitter here.

come see curses, rants, insults, abuse, you name it. Mostly by women, though i'm not sure.

the person who started the thread was carribean, i think. Others from everywhere joined in later.

i have no idea what eventually happened to that thread, if it was deleted or cleaned up. I think the mods were replaced, fired or just worked overtime, in that particular instance.

there was so much bad blood.

that's why i laugh when i see some nigerians getting an attitude on here. Considering themselves the hot cats.

Gbawe:
We have similar going on in the UK. One website (www.gumtree.com) is particularly notorious because of how it allows ads to be listed freely with entirely bogus details . They won't check or vet any telephone numbers supplied . There has been many incidences of folks showing up to buy a car only to have their money taken away by knife wielding thugs. You can also fall victim , if selling a vehicle, to carjackers after high-end cars they can 'ring' . We all have to be careful, keep alert and use our head . I wonder why some people will go and attempt to buy a 2009 plate Range Rover (worth over £45,000) for £20,000 because they see an ad claiming such a car is available at a price ridiculously below market value. Likewise it does not make sense thinking you will close the deal successfully if someone states they want to come and buy your £30,000 advertised car in cash.
^^gbam.

just last month i was reading some horror stories about this very thing. People were advising each other to never cut a deal without witnesses and firepower present.

i think many nigerians have been lulled into a false sense of security because they've had things relatively easy so far, so they assume all the bad stuff is only in the past and can never happen again.
Christianity EtcRe: Deleted. by tpiah2: 8:55pm On Jan 30, 2011
poster

let's break it down.

from your story as you've typed it here, what are you expecting people to do.

two options which would be more suitable:

1. you seem very interested in providing the extrapolatory sexual details.

thus, more suited for sexuality section.

2. if indeed you were molested by a priest, then as a criminal offence, you could also post your story in crime section.

now, the entire tone of your narrative doesnt sound serious, and you yourself called it a super story, which we all know is a synonym for fiction.

adding the words Jesus Christ at the end in order to throw a hugely fake aura of sanctimonius piety over the whole tale, still does nothing.

sweetie, we all want a piece of that free money [grants et all] being thrown out for the promotion of the type of thing you're doing here, but be careful because nothing lasts forever.

besides, you're actually making a mockery of people who indeed experienced that.
