Yeah right..it affected his hair and voice too
I idolised MJ all through my childhood, and even now long after his death. So I believe I can offer some answers.

1. I don't think anyone could be as popular/accepted worldwide on the level that MJ was, ever again in this life.

2. Contrary to popular belief, he didn't have surgery to become white. He had aggressive vitiligo, and yes he did use some chemicals only to even up patches and smoothen the skin tone, but it was largely the vitiligo.

3. He was faking his lady like voice for the most part as an adult. The voice was part of the package, kinda like part of his act/identity. When he was younger it was rumoured that his father (who was a well documented ruthless tough guy) used hormones to keep his voice shrill, like a child so he could continue to sound the same as he did as lead of the Jackson 5. He no want make the voice texture change. Dunno how true this is, cos I can't confirm if hormone therapy was a thing far back then. But back to my earlier point, if you do your research you would find videos where he slipped up and spoke with a much deeper voice. In fact, for quite a long time leading up to his death, he had gotten quite comfortable with speaking in his true deeper voice.

4. He suffered third degree burns on his head, after the pepsi ad fire. Those portions could never grow hair again, so he resorted to wigs. That long hair you were always seeing, na wig.

Next election I won't support Obi, he is one of them, in Anambra he made no significant changes, stories upon stories, his election interviews he didn't say anything different or unique.
I'm sure you haven't noticed that elections are over.

I ain't Obi and don't give 7 flying fcks who you vote for. I myself will leave this country soon enough and will happily come back to reinforce failure by voting for APC come 2027 as a typical Nigerian this time, not as a progressive. Hopefully no bastard will question my decision then. Choose a side and take a stand with your full chest. Don't be all over the place you hear.

I don't engage with sworn enemies of the nation. Obi don't have the answer, Nigeria needs a leader that can take drastic measures...even next elections I can't support Obi, I don't support mediocres. So run off with your bigotry you and your sister are one and same... bigots mean nothing to me, am talking of patriots here not traitors. Obi had interviews he didn't mention solutions that could change Nigeria...he is just one of them.
you are an enemy to yourself and Nigeria. You are pathetic and confused, a typical Nigerian who adores and loves directionlessness and hopelessness.

One minute he says we choose the worst of us to lead us, next he defends the criminal and failure he chose.

One minute he says Igbos are not good in any way shape or form and should be thrashed in the bin, and literally the next minute he says we are all one and we should come together. MENT or Drugs or Drug-induced ment? I no even know the diagnosis to give you.

Saboteurs. It's a weak mind, why are we different from citizens of other nations, why do we hate the place we are from so much?

Something is really wrong in our psyche, this lazy, quick rich syndrome of greed has eaten deep.

PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Must Maintain His Economic Policy by Treadway: 9:24am On Feb 10, 2024
JAMO84:
The Nigeria Economy is in shambles, inflation is high, the Naira is on a free fall, no thanks to the President's twin decision of petroleum subsidy elimination and floating of the Naira.

Ordinarily, one would have loved to have subsidies back, but considering we've been down this road before, and the experience wasn't palatable; the corruption and resources wastage associated with Petroleum subsidy and forex management must continue to belong to the dustbin of history, we must move on, no matter what.

However, I understand we don't have problem with Naira liquidity like we have with dollar and other foreign currencies. Elimination of subsidies means the government now have more money to spend on the people, therefore, the government at all levels must do everything possible to help the poor and the vulnerable get through this hardship.

In all of these, I am only worried about the less privileged, not the greedy rich and middle class who want to get richer, nor the election sore losers and their cult - like followers who think their candidate alone has the right to be President, despite being a collosal failure in his previous time in public office.

SUBSIDY IS GONE, AND GONE IT MUST REMAIN
have sense!

Subsidy is still being paid.

He messed everything up so bad, and what is more pathetic is at the end of the day, subsidy is still being paid on petrol. Why has LPG gone to 1300, and diesel also but petrol has remained unchanged for over 6 months?

In all your getting, get sense!
PoliticsRe: Not All Yoruba People Wanted Tinubu To Be President by Treadway:
a4cube:
Yours is tribe and religion. Muric man said it.
Tinubu is the worst candidate in that election. Though many SW and anigerians did not vote him. Yakubu made him president but the SWestners are taking the heat bcus they claimed to be the arrow head after the Yakubu rigging and turned the whole election of Governors into tribal war bcus of LP candidate of Lagos State and how lagocians rejected the druggie.
see, let's call a spade, a spade. Tinubu had many people who voted for him, even despite the well documented criminality and irregularities of inec.

The states with many enlightened people eg Abuja and Lagos thrashed him in the bin, and rightly so.

The core SW states, majority of the youths that came out voted for Obi, but the problem was a whole lot more of the daddies and mummies came out, and were even allowed to vote first (due to old age and respect bullshit) and unfortunately they voted overwhelmingly for APC. This was what played out in Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo. Most of the youths were for Obi, these are colleagues and contemporaries so I know, but rather unfortunate that our daddies and mummies pulled far more numbers on election Day.

In my polling unit for example, I had to call everyone to order when I noticed we were shooting ourselves in the foot by allowing all the Baba's and mama's to vote so that we don't stress them to wait for too long, meanwhile they were voting for APC, and consequently denying a good number of us youths from voting cos time was fast running out. I had to halt the thing and we later agreed 1 aged, 1 youth per time. Anybody wey e strength no carry election day stress, make e dey go house. Won le wa pawa saye.

So make no mistake, Tinubu got votes from our daddies and mummies, na the youths try give Obi something for SW, and even that was whittled down by their higher numbers and the fraud called INEC. Can you believe that after counting presidential and we left, the next day all the voided votes for APC, were added back for them thus inflating the figures in favour of APC? The votes that were voided for improper thumbprinting, they added it back and wrote that on the final report sheet, and we're talking over 50 voided APC votes (aged people with poor sight and shaky hands)

Well who is crying now? Na the same Baba's and mama's wey don dey romance poverty tey tey. Shey na pikin wey dey try survive himself go remember send money to one mummy or daddy in Ibadan. Shebi Omo won ni Tinubu, Tinubu a ma fun won l'ounje

Professor Ndubuisi suggested something that sounds interesting. Engage Nigerians in diaspora and convince him them to invest their money with the federal government at a certain interest rate. For instance, if a Nigerian is willing to give $10k, they get $10,400 after 4 years.

However, this can only work in a country where people genuinely love their government and want to see their country grow. Many Nigerians at home and abroad don't even trust the man in power because of his several terrible records.

BTW, if they must convert everyone's USD to naira, the rich people will be hard hit and there must not be sacred cows. Tinubu must ensure the conversation starts from himself and his cabinet members.
these are smart ideas. Propose a juicy OMO for diasporans, but these dumbos do not have the brains to conceive or implement such a simple yet effective strategy. I know they will go after Fx in Dom accounts, I have been saying that for a while.

I'm not sure all these Anti-Jakpa people are even sincere in their opinions. When hard headed one's like @Sukkot and @Treadway now claim they never condemned migration. I'm sure neither of them have ever left Nigeria, they just pick stuff up by watching YouTube and reading articles. Then they have fun making nonsensical and provocative arguments denigrating life in UK and USA.

I repeatedly emphasize I personally know people earning $1K per day in that same Nigeria. Why would they leave? The real issue has always been the conditions for regular people, for average folks like me.
