This structure was built in December 2019.
I noticed the room is always moisty.
When the room windows and door is shut... The glass sweat from inside.

Now it's the roofing(decking), just this part of the decking.

The room is well ventilated but since no occupant the windows and doors are always shut.

Above the decking is completely tiled and two brand new water tanks are sitting untop.

What could this imply?

My observations:

1. Move the window of the dining room to flush with the wall demarcating the main flat and the selfcon. This is because the kitchen door is obstructing a little part of the window.

Re: why do that? The dining window mustn't be casement or projected. We don't have the architect's schedule so we shouldn't second-guess him. That window could be sliding after all. Making it unnecessary. Personally, Windows placed in d middle of a wall allows for better interior design with curtains, blinds etc.

2. Reduce the walk-in closet of the bedroom beside the kitchen as well as moving the bathroom in same so as to have a recess of about 900mm. This is in order to have a small window slot in for cross ventilation.

Re: this suggestion sir, will end up reducing the luxury of that room.
If that room is on the north side, there's no cause for alarm. A conducive room temperature wld be preserved.

Alternatively, you can swap the kitchen + store for the dining + terrace. It wld be interesting to see how it pans out. And you will be guaranteed a 2nd window for the bedroom opening unto the terrace.
This would get you lesser number of doors opening into your kitchen with a better cabinet arrangement.

3. Why have that chamfers at the edges of the building because I doubt there would be same at the roofing of the building except there would be a kinda aesthetic column/pillars at the spots.

I have a building project on a full plot of land in a developing area in Lagos.
I intend to build a fence structure around it including a gate to keep predators out Like the one in the picture attached
For security reasons too, it was suggested that the fence should not go up high so that people can see what's happening from the outside.

Please i have the following questions:-
What height is best for this type of fence?
What metal material is best for the screen(burglary) part?
What is the standard dimensions for the screen part of the fence?
What alternatives are available for the burglary part of the fence?

Further ideas will be appreciated.

I once attended a NAOBS conference last year, and we had a professional architect to address us....he told us that to join the board(arcon)/NCARB practice as a professional the minimum requirement is B.sc(archi) or HND with at least 150 semester credit hour. I can remember vividly, then u can become a professional archi recognised by ARCON as a graduate member... And u shldnt have compared them to other professions, cause u might not believe if I tell u what it takes to be a professional builder.
