In the middle east (Mesopotamia and environs ) long before islam was formed, pork had been a cultural taboo.

Pork was as an unhealthy option because they usually ate leftovers and roamed in waste dump areas.

Islam was invented many years afterwards and tagged along the concept of haram, in a bid at turning existing generally accepted practices into religious law, added the already cultural phobia for pork in the middle east into their codex.

The making of pig haram is one of the proofs that islam is more of Mesopotamian invention than an heavenly one.

In other climes, pork was actually reared for food the same way the Mesopotamians reared sheep and the fulanis reared cows.

The world today has bacon being an important ingredient in modern breakfasts. Pork is currently one of the most healthy food to eat even better than cow meat.

One of the problems of basing modern logic on old Mesopotamian religions like islam is that the proponents have the hard task of justifying why illogical decisions like wife beating and slavery should be acceptable today despite logic labelling such practices as barbaric.

The average Nigerian youth is educated (i am not counting the ones strategically uneducated by the choice of their regional leaders). To make matters worse, most Nigerian youths all studied similar courses. Very few skills.

What you should do is learn a skill.

You might get a small job earning say 30k monthly or less. The question is what will you learn at that job?

My advice is to join as an apprentice in a skilled job where your boss gives you stipends spend the next 6 months or 1 year or even 2 years learning from your boss. Become a master.

As you are learning from your master, be thinking daily on how you can improve the workflow process that your master currently uses based on new technology and trends.

Watch YouTube videos about your skill. See as it is being done elsewhere.

When you graduate, you would have developed some in roads that would create a path for you.

Even if your boss gives you only food for the period of training, as long as you are learning, you are gaining

Knowledge is the only gift that cannot be retrieved.

It is better to buy a laptop with HDD and upgrade the SSD your self.

My Laptop (compaq 610 Windows 10) is always scrolling by itself each time am Facebooking with it on chrome browser , Sometimes if I want to click chrome browser it will be click on opera mini. I have updated the laptop,tried everything i could but it’s still doing the same.

I work in a building construction site as an engineer under this man as the main engineer. Last Saturday I went to work and on reaching site I sent him report of site. Notes on Ubuntu 22.04 Installation.

If your laptop or desktop has both intel and Nvidia graphics (i.e hybrid graphics), do not install the Nvidia graphics during installation. Use only the open source nouveau graphics drivers.

This would boot you into Wayland and give you all the benefits of stability and power efficiency.

If you select Nvidia, it would boot you into X11 and you would be having display issues (black screen on boot or suspend, high temperatures, inability to use the integrated graphics for efficiency etc)

Just use Wayland and enjoy peace of mind.

If you need an app to use the discrete graphics, just right click on it and select "use discrete graphics"

Nvidia has been lazy this time around and Wayland seems to be the future.
