Our leaders are partly responsible. If they create enabling environment for everyone to prosper, nobody will want to travel abroad for greener pastures. How many Americans or Europeans are desiring to come to Africa? Let's vote credible leaders that will make life better for everyone. |
Beremx:Please, I don't get it. How do you know it's Oluwole's certificate. Please authentic proof. |
Please nairalanders, post pictures from your area that have similar challenges so our government can be exposed and forced to act. Let's no the governors that are not working. |
jesusjnr:John 16:12-13 12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. If Jesus taught everything we needed to hear, he wouldn't make the above comment. So, the rest of the truths were revealed to the Apostles. Ephesians 2:20. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. Jesus laid the foundation or the corner stone while the Apostles built on it. I hope you understand now. I did not say the teachings of Jesus is unimportant but that it lays the foundation. There are more things you need to know that are revealed to the Apostles especially in Paul's epistles. |
Maestro21:Loyalty does not mean that we should follow blindly. I respect Pastor Chris but on this issue, I do not agree with what he did. Believers should be ambassadors of peace. Dangote honoured his daughters wedding and the mother whom he had divorced years back was present in the wedding. What examples are we showing as God's children? |
donnie:I just spoke the truth. What is the oversabi here? Every couple must do all they can to save their marriage. Pastor Anita made some complains. Did Pastor Chris made effort to attend to her requests? If he did, where are the evidences? |
I am honestly not happy at the wrong examples set by ministers that are supposed to be our role model. The absence of Pastor Anita in her daughter's wedding is a shame to both parties. I will not take sides. If Pastor Chris wanted Pastor Anita to be there, he could have worked it out for their daughter's sake. One thing is sure, those who keep grudge and malice will not make heaven irrespective of their status. We must allow the love of Christ to constrain us in all that we do. Pastor Benny also did not play a good role. We have been called to make peace. Those who encourage malice are not children of God. |
Op, to water down the teachings of Apostle Paul by what you termed mistakes is a very grave error. You are attempting to derail the minds of believers who yearn for knowledge from seeking to know more as revealed through the teachings of Apostle Paul. First, Apostle Paul was the only Apostle that was given deep insight about the church and the work God did for us in Christ. He unveils vividly who we are in Christ and what we have by virtue of our union with him. It is only through the teachings of Apostle Paul that we understand the difference between the law and grace. He opens our eyes to know that the Church is not under the Law of Moses. In addition, Apostle Paul revealed to us the future plans God has for the nation of Israel. It is through the writings of Paul that we understand how the rapture will take place. Apostle Paul also revealed to us that the Holy Spirit is the seal of our redemption. The wealth of information contained in Pauline's epistles are too much to be swept under the carpet because of trivial issues you call errors. Let's look at the issue of women not permitted to speak in church. First, he did not generalized it. He said 'your women' Second, he was not addressing all woman in a sense. He was addressing married women. He was trying to teach them how to submit or show respect to their husbands. This was why he added, "And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their HUSBANDS at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." (1st Corinthians 14:35). If Apostle Paul was a woman hater, he would not recognize the ministry of Priscilla and Acquila. These were couples who laboured hard with him and he acknowledged the role of even the wife. She was always mentioned before the husband in ministry. I don't have much time to go into other mistakes you mentioned. They are not mistakes. All of Apostle Paul’s teachings are in line with what Jesus taught. He acknowledged Jesus as the chief corner stone and him as the builder. Classical teachings on faith is credited to Apostle Paul’s work. I really don't know what message you have if you don't understand Apostle Paul’s teachings. The teachings of Jesus only laid the foundation and you cannot remain at the foundation level. |
Jesus is simply the English version of Yeshua. It does not matter which year it was adopted. Language development is not static. English has evolved through several stages of development. Just like the English in the King James Version of the Bible. Most terms used there are no longer tenable in our days. What matters is you know who you are addressing. And the name Jesus has done wonders and it is still doing wonders. Have you asked how the other tribes chose to call Jesus the way he is called? It is a question of consensus by the professors of linguistic in the communities in question. Daddy Freeze should just go and freeze. |
1. Fence the Nigeria border. This is the real reason we are having security challenges. Our borders are too porous. 2. Explore alternatives ways to generate power and ensure regular power supply. 3. Embark on industrial revolution so that youths and graduates can be gainfully employed. 4. Wage war against corruption in an unbiased manner and prosecute all those guilty. 5. Draw out a new constitution that will foster unity and permit states to control their resources. Taxes will be paid to the federal government. |
Please, why is the government scared about this sect? Can someone educate me please. |
Maybe he has but with a very poor performance. And so, he is ashamed to submit it. |
There is virtually no month that passes by without the news of killings here and there in this country. This is the very worst in the history of Nigeria. No sane person will continue to support this government who have no value for lives. |
dafeyankee:I don't think so. He will only serve if the present government remains in power. And it is doubtful if they will. |
greatdreamer:I don't think it will be that easy. They can repeat what happened in the four states they won serially. Nigerians have a wrong orientation. We easily sell our conscience for money. |
Love making is an act that can be learned. She should give him a chance to learn. Besides, there are other forms of gratification like MouthAction. |
If Nigeria can't do it, education should be subsidized. What is destroying our nation is selfishness and greed and mumu followers who will still prefer to vote leaders that are destroying the nation. |
It is demonic. It happens when you allow the wrong thoughts into your heart. |
What are they using all these monies for? First, they don't pay rent. How much NEPA bill will they pay? 5,000 students x 200,000 will amount to 1,000,000,000 (one billion generated per semester). How much is the wage bill. We need good missionary schools to rescue us from these exorbitant fees. And these school administrators paid nothing in their days. |
jumpandpas:A book on how lazy Nigeria youths are. |
He should invest his wealth to help the poor especially the orphans, widows and the fatherless. True wealth is not how much you possess but how much you give away. |
Ejadike:And we have been destined to consume. Africa is indeed the flesh seed of Canaan. |
Samantha23:End time madness. |
I thought he doesn't believe in Jesus. What is he doing in the Holy land? |
troublemakea:If he says it, we can hold him to his word. But I think it's really difficult for a Fulani man to stop the killings of his fellow Fulani men. That will be going against the tenets of their belief. That is why Buhari will always talk about fighting Boko Haram but he will never mention the Fulanis. The leader of the Boko Haram is an Hausa and the Hausas were conquered by the Fulanis. |
googlepikins:If he hasn't said anything doesn't mean others should emulate him. I am not partisan. All I want is good governance committed to both the need and safety of his people. |
He did not mention the Fulani herdsmen. They are worse than Boko Haram. He should please tell us what plan he has to end the killings by his herdsmen. If he doesn't, then he is a suspect. |
troublemakea:He should make a commitment to end it as part of his campaign otherwise, we will be taking a risk to have another Fulani man rule us. |
I think it's time to give serious attention to Education in Nigeria if we must preserve the future of our country. It is an understatement to say that most of our Nigeria schools are not what they used to be. Imagine a situation where SS students in some of our secondary school can't even solve simple mathematics questions that involves addition and subtraction. In addition, a basic six student can't read even two letter words. Even the teachers are not left out. Examination malpractice is now a normal practice that is no longer seen as a criminal offense. Most secondary school leavers can't write simple application letters. I have also seen university graduates who struggle to read. Government should please declare a state of emergency and restore the standard of education in Nigeria. |
Tonimordred:I was also wandering. This properties are properties that even ordinary businessman owns. Have you seen that of Allison Madueke? They just hate Fayose for the opposing role he played. Since, he reported himself, it is inhuman and unreasonable to detain him. Just charge him to court and seize his passport so he will not be able to travel out. |
Kingosytex:One sided fight is itself corruption. |
troublemakea:Must you call me names? I only asked a question and no one wants a repeat episode of what we are experiencing in this era. OK, let me give a pass mark on the question. The second question is, has he ever called or insisted that those involved be arrested? The third question is, has he ever labeled them a terrorist organization. I schooled in the north and I know the mindset of an average Muslim though not all embrace this killing idea of non adherents. But the fact is that what is happening in Nigeria has an international influence from international terrorist organization who want Islam established as the Major religion in most parts of the world. It's like they took a break after the Utman Dan Fodio Jihad launched years back. If a Muslim man climbs there, that influence might still continue. It may not be the mindset of Atiku but if his religious boss insist on their agenda, he has no option otherwise, they can deal with him. So, this is my fear. I have nothing against Atiku but can he make a commitment to protect everyone especially Christian who are at the receiving end? This is the question every serious Nigeria should be asking. So, I am not jobless. We are tired of the killings. He should come out boldly and tell us how he intend to handle this terrorist known as the herdsmen. So far, he has not even mentioned it as part of his campaign promise. Nigerians do not think deep and I think that is why we are very gullible. |
